Abstract

Bei Hochleistungskontakten besteht das Problem, daß im Kurz­ schlußfalle die Kontakte nicht schnell genug voneinander ab­ heben und infolge des auftretenden Lichtbogens miteinander verschweißen. Es ist daher wichtig, daß beim Auftreten eines Kurzschlußstromes eine sehr schnelle Kontakttrennung zwischen dem festen und dem beweglichen Kontakt herbeigeführt wird mit Abkühlung und Verwirbelung des Lichtbogens zur schnellen Lichtbogenlöschung und Reduzierung der Durchlaßenergie. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß der bewegliche Kontakt (8) in einer rohrförmigen Hülse (11) aus einem elektrisch nicht lei­ tenden Material, vorzugsweise Polytetrafluoräthylen, mit min­ destens einer im Kontakt-Öffnungsweg befindlichen Ausblasöff­ nung (10) längsverschiebbar geführt ist, wobei der Schaltraum (13) zwischen dem am Boden der rohrförmigen Hülse (11) ange­ ordneten Festkontakt (7) und dem beweglichen Kontakt (8) nach außen derart abgedichtet ist, daß der im Kurzschlußfalle im Schaltraum (13) auftretende Schaltdruck den beweglichen Kontakt (8) wie einen Kolben in eine Öffnungsstellung treibt, in der sich der Schaltdruck durch eine Ausblasöffnung (10) abbauen kann.
