Description

The invention relates to a contact arrangement for a low-voltage circuit breaker with main contacts for guiding a continuous current and with burn-off contacts for igniting a switching arc in the entry area of an arc quenching chamber, and with an arc guide piece made of one-piece stamped and bent part made of ferromagnetic material for transferring an arc occurring at the main contacts to the Arcing horn.

A contact arrangement of this type is known from DE-A-35 39 673. Thereafter, it is provided to manufacture the arc guide pieces as castings or as stamped and bent parts, with a massive, i.e. H. massive execution is considered advantageous. It has also been found that arc guiding pieces designed as castings ensure the desired mode of operation.

To simplify the production process and to reduce the cost, however, it would be desirable to make use of the possibility also specified to design the arc guide pieces as a stamped and bent part. However, it has been shown that the desired mode of action is only achieved less completely.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to create an arc guide piece which can be produced as a stamped and bent part and which, with a simple design, nevertheless fulfills the task of quickly and reliably leading arcs arising at the main contacts to the arcing horn.

This is achieved according to the invention in that the arc-guiding piece, which is designed as a one-piece stamped and bent part, extends approximately parallel to the row of main contacts and for attachment to the carrier of the main contacts serving base leg and an arc guiding leg starting from its end remote from the arcing horn and approaching it at an angle, the base leg having two base separating legs separated by an incision, which are mutually offset according to a gradation of the Have mounting surface of the arc guide. In contrast to the known arc guide piece mentioned above, the new arc guide piece thus does not have a closed triangular shape. Nevertheless, it was found that the same success as the triangular and solid arc guide piece was achieved. The offset base partial legs allow the arc guiding piece to be secured against rotation with just one screw.

In order to achieve a good transition of the arcs to the arcing horn, it is recommended that the outer end part of the arcing guide leg be bent approximately parallel to the arcing horn.

The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiment shown in the figures.

Figure 1 shows a section of a pole of a low-voltage circuit breaker with an arc guide.

Details of the arc guiding piece are shown in FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, each of which shows views at right angles to one another.

The contact arrangement 1 according to FIG. 1 comprises a fixed part 2 and a movable part 3 in a known manner Main contact is used and for this purpose is provided with a contact piece support 6 or a larger number of such contact piece supports. On the connecting rail 5, a fixed burn-off contact 7 is fastened close to the contact piece support 6, which is also provided with a contact piece support 10. On the underside of the insulating block 4, which is angular in profile, a further forked connecting rail 11 is attached, to which a flexible current band 12 is connected by a screw connection. The current band 12 establishes the electrically conductive connection with the movable part 3 of the contact arrangement 1, which is pivotably mounted about a hinge pin 13 arranged between the legs of the U-shaped current band 12. The movable part 3 comprises a carrier 14 on which the main contact lever 16, which is connected to the current band 12, is pivotably mounted about a hinge pin 15. These are provided at their upper end with contact piece supports 17 which cooperate with the fixed contact piece supports 6. Furthermore, the carrier 14 has a burn-off contact 20 which has a contact piece support 21 which interacts with the fixed contact piece support 10. Both the stationary part 2 and the movable part 3 of the contact arrangement have an arcing horn 22 or 23 in order to transfer switching arcs into an arcing chamber 24.

As FIG. 2 shows, there are two fixed contact piece supports 6 as main contacts. Accordingly, the movable part 3 of the contact arrangement 1 has two arranged next to each other Contact lever with contact piece supports 17. Depending on the current that the circuit breaker should be able to handle with permissible heating, a larger number of main contacts can be provided. In order to illustrate this, two contact piece supports 6 are shown in the right part of FIG. 2, so that in this embodiment the contact arrangement has a total of four main contacts.

If the movement of the parts takes place in a known manner when switching off, in such a way that first the main contacts and then the burn-off contacts are separated from one another, a switching arc occurs only at the burn-off contacts, provided that the total current flowing through the contact arrangement does not exceed a certain amount. The switching arc is then taken over by the arcing horns 22 and 23 and transferred to the arcing chamber 24. However, if the current exceeds a certain size, the current is not completely commutated to the burn-off contacts, with the result that the main contacts, i. H. occur between the contact piece supports 6 and 17 partial arcs. These partial arcs are taken over by arc guide pieces 30 and 40, respectively, which are shown in FIG. 3 in a form to be adapted to the respective embodiment of the contact arrangement. As can be seen, these arc guide pieces form guide edges for taking over the partial arcs occurring at the main contacts and for transferring them to the arcing horn 22.

Ausgehend von dem bezüglich der Symmetrieachse der Kontaktanordnung außenliegenden Ende besitzt das Lichtbogenleitstück 30 einen Lichtbogenführungsschenkel 36, der im spitzen Winkel zu dem Basis-Schenkel 31 steht und mit seinem oberen, abgebogenen Endteil 37 an das Lichtbogenhorn 22 heranführt.3, 4 and 5 is a stamped and bent part made of sheet steel and has a base leg 31 which has two base part legs 33 and 34 separated by an incision 32. This not only provides an adaptation to the stepped shape of the connecting bar 5 in the area of the contact piece support 6, but also a rotation-proof seat when fastened with only one screw 25 (FIG. 1). The base legs 33 and 34 have a mutual offset by an amount designated by 35. Starting from the end lying outside with respect to the axis of symmetry of the contact arrangement, the arc guide piece 30 has an arc guide leg 36, which is at an acute angle to the base leg 31 and leads with its upper, bent end part 37 to the arc horn 22.

As can be seen when examining the left and the right side of the contact arrangement shown in FIG. 2, the above-explained shape of the arc guide pieces can be applied to different widths; H. with a different number of main contacts provided contact arrangements so that the base leg is given a corresponding length and the length and the angular position of the arc guide leg is chosen appropriately. In this way, the arc guide piece 40 is obtained.

With the help of the new arc guide pieces described, there is the possibility of significantly increasing the performance of contact arrangements by means of a simple and inexpensive additional part.
