Description

The invention relates to a securing device for a plug or socket strip with a connected flexible cable, such as known from EP-A-48085.

Such safety devices are particularly necessary if the device is to be portable and frequent plug changes are to be made possible in a simple manner.

The object of the invention is to provide a simple remedy for undesired loosening in such cases.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the plug or socket strips are inserted into a sheet metal part which is bent in a U-shaped profile and rests with its inner legs on the long sides of the strip and is preferably screw-connected to it and at each end of the sheet metal part a hinge is provided, each carrying a profile L-shaped hook, which has a barb at its end pointing to the associated plug in the device, with which it engages in a groove-shaped recess on the device.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the subclaims.

So-called D-sub plugs are often used in radio devices, in which a large number of plug pins must be connected to the corresponding socket strips and vice versa with the device. In particular for transportable operation, the plug must be secured against falling out even in the event of strong vibrations. For this purpose, the multipole plug or socket strip 14 is connected to the sheet metal part 1 by means of screws 15, which has an opening 19 for the actual plug. The sheet metal part is U-shaped in profile with shell-shaped longitudinal legs 20. These longitudinal legs abut the side walls of the connector housing 16. For the screws 15, threaded holes 6 are provided in the sheet metal part 1 on both sides of the housing in the longitudinal direction. The leg ends, viewed in the longitudinal direction, are shaped into eyelets 7. Between these eyelets, an L-shaped hook 2 is inserted in such a way that one leg 3a comes to rest outside the sheet. The connecting area of the legs 4 is provided with a bore or an opening 8 through which a bolt 5 is pressed over the eyelets, so that a hinge is formed. The outer legs 3 enclose the device 10 itself and, at the end, have folds 9 designed as a hook. These folds engage in groove-shaped depressions 21 in the case of attachment. In order to improve the locking, a flexible tongue 11 is arranged at an angle between the legs 3, 3a, which are approximately at right angles (preferably somewhat larger than 90 °) to one another. This tongue should ensure when pressed onto the side wall 22 of the device that the barbs 9 are pressed firmly into the groove 21. It is slightly inclined towards the leg 3a and the device. At the end, the tongue 11 again has a hook-shaped fold 12 by means of which it ultimately presses against the side wall or a recess therein. An additional stiffening rib 13 is attached to the leg 3.

If, in the locking position, the outer leg 3a is pressed in the direction of the plug, the connection is released and the plug can be removed. The plug and fuse form one unit.

Das Steckergehäuse 16 hat eine Zugentlastung 18 für die Kabel 17.The plug housing 16 has a strain relief 18 for the cables 17th

In this way, a simple plug lock is implemented, which can also be retrofitted to such plug housings at any time, for which purpose only two knurled screws 15 are necessary.
