Abstract

The clip is noteworthy in that the jewel-holder plate and the pinching tab have, on their face which is applied against the front and rear faces of the ear lobe, zones (Z1, Z2, Z3) in relief disposed so that they ensure, by local compressions, a firm holding of the ornament on the said lobe. These zones in relief consist, in respect of one of the fastening parts, of two zones (Z1, Z2) which are offset in terms of height, and, for the other fastening part, of a zone (Z3) which is positioned so as to be located between the said zones (Z1, Z2) when the plate (1) and the pinching tab (2) are applied on either side of the lobe (L) in order to ensure, by local compressions, a firm holding of the ornament on the said lobe by matching the morphology of the latter. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to the technical sector of jewelry articles of the pinch earring type.

It relates more particularly to a device for fixing ear adornments of the elastic pinching type, comprising two fixing parts consisting of a jewel holder plate and a pinching tab secured to each other to be applied from one side and on the other side of the ear lobe, said plate and said tab having on their faces intended to be applied against the front and rear faces of the ear lobe, zones in relief, two of these zones being formed on one of the fixing parts with a height offset between them, while the second fixing part carries a third zone situated opposite the group of zones present on the first fixing part.

The ear-set fastening devices thus designed are not always effective, however, either because their pinching system is adjusted over time, or because the earlobe does not have a configuration allowing secure pinching of adornment.

To overcome these drawbacks and ensure reliable pinching but not traumatic in all circumstances, the present invention provides a fixing device of the type specified above, which is characterized in that the third raised area is dimensioned and positioned on the second fixing part so as to be located between the first two raised zones when the plate and the pinching tab are applied on either side of the lobe, so that the three zones ensure, by respective local compressions, a firm hold of adornment on said lobe by marrying the latter's morphology.

Preferably, the first two zones are substantially hemispherical and spaced apart from one another in the width direction, the third zone being elongated and of substantially semi-circular section.

According to another characteristic of the invention, the two hemispherical raised areas are arranged on the nip, while the elongated raised area is formed on the plate, said areas being positioned in the upper part opposite the point of the platinum and paw.

According to other characteristics, the raised areas are directly formed on the plate and on the tab, or else they are attached and formed by elements made of semi-rigid or flexible material.

Preferred embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.

These characteristics and others will emerge from the description which follows.

To fix the subject of the invention without however limiting it, in the appended drawing:

Figure 1 is a schematic view showing the principle of the device according to the invention.

Figure 2 is a perspective view illustrating an embodiment of the device.

Figure 4 is a side view of the ornament applied to an earlobe.

Figure 5 is a sectional view taken along line 5-5 of Figure 3 showing an alternative embodiment of the raised areas.

Figure 6 is a sectional view taken along line 6-6 of Figure 3 showing another alternative embodiment of the raised areas.

In order to make the object of the invention more concrete, it is now described in a nonlimiting manner with reference to the exemplary embodiments of the figures of the drawings.

The ear adornment (P) of this type comprises any piece of jewelry (B), the rear face (B1) of which is adapted to receive by any means such as gluing, welding, soldering, clipping, one of the fixing elements, namely a plate (1) whose visible face (1a) is intended to be applied against the rear face (L1) of the ear lobe (L).

It should be noted that the plate (1) can be limited to one fixing surface in the upper part of the face (B1) and to a connection surface with the other fixing element in the lower part of the face (B1) as illustrated in FIG. 4. On the other hand, the plate (1) can be directly constituted by the face (B1) of the jewel.

In its lower part, the plate (1) is connected to a pinching tab (2), generally by means of an articulation (3) with elastic return of the tab against the plate in order to pinch the lobe, without however, exclude other possibilities such as plate and lug in one piece, the lug being produced with an elastic deformation capacity at the level of the lower connection with the plate.

According to one of the characteristics of the invention, in order to ensure firm and reliable maintenance of the adornment on ear lobes of any configuration, the plate and the pinching tab preferably have in their upper part opposite to their point of connection, raised areas formed on their face (1a) and (2a) intended to be applied to the faces (L1 - L2) of the lobe.

These zones are dimensioned and arranged in such a way that they ensure the firm maintenance of the ornament by local compressions of the lobe. For this purpose, and as illustrated diagrammatically in FIG. 1, two zones (Z1) and (Z2) of substantially hemispherical shape, are produced on one of the elements (plate or leg) in a manner offset in height and separated in the width, while a third zone (Z3) of elongated shape with substantially semi-circular section is produced on the other element (tab or plate) according to an arrangement such that this zone is located between zones (Z1) and (Z2 ) when the plate and the pinch tab are applied on either side of the lobe, thereby creating alternating deformations of the lobe strengthening the fixation.

Preferably, the zone (Z3) is produced on the plate (1) in the form of a bar or a material deformation (1b), and the zones (Z1) and (Z2) are produced on the tab (2) either directly in the thickness, like the bosses (2b) illustrated in FIGS. 2, 3, 4 and 6, or reportedly, as illustrated in Figure 5 where the raised areas are constituted for example by studs (4) in semi-rigid or flexible material and shaped to be engaged by deformation in orifices (2c) of the tab and be retained between a shoulder (4a) and the hemispherical part (4b) bearing against the lobe.

Of course, the raised areas can be made in any other equivalent way without departing from the scope of the invention.

In order to improve the fixing, provision is also made, as shown in FIG. 6, to drill the bosses (2b) at (2d) to create a suction effect.

The advantages emerge clearly from the description, it is further emphasized that the adornments thus produced are firm and reliable, thanks to the judiciously combined relief zones which create pinched beads of localized flesh alternated with depressions.
