Description

Das Ausführungsbeispiel zeigt ein insgesamt mit 1 bezeichnetes Kammerrakel, das zum Einsatz in einer Offsetdruckmaschine bestimmt ist. Das Kammerrakel 1 ist mit den beiden Rakelmessern 4, 5 gegen eine mit einer gerasterten Oberfläche versehene Farbaufnahmewalze 9 anstellbar, die sich im Betrieb in Richtung des Pfeiles a dreht. Dabei rakelt das Rakelmesser 4 die zugeführte überschüssige Farbe von der Farbaufnahmewalze ab, während das Rakelmesser 5 die Kammerrakel 1 nach unten abschließt. Jede Seitenwand 3 weist einen der Farbaufnahmewalze 9 zugewandten Bereich 10 geringerer Wandstärke auf. Der Bereich 10 ist durch eine Stirnfläche 11 begrenzt, die entsprechend dem Radius der Farbaufnahmewalze 9 gebogen ist und mit dieser einen Spalt mit einer Höhe A von etwa 0,1 bis 3 mm bildet. Tritt während des Betriebes innerhalb der Farbkammer 1 ein Druck P₁ in der flüssigen Farbe auf, der größer ist als der Umgebungsluftdruck P₀, so ergibt sich hierdurch eine Bewegungskomponente der Farbe zwischen der Stirnfläche 11 und der Farbaufnahmewalze 9 nach außen mit dem Geschwindigkeitsvektor va (vgl. Fig.3). Durch die Rotation der Farbaufnahmewalze 9 in Richtung des Pfeiles a während des Betriebes, ergibt sich für die Farbe weiterhin eine Bewegungskomponente mit dem Geschwindigkeitsvektor vt. Aus beiden Vektoren läßt sich eine resultierende Geschwindigkeit mit dem Vektor Vres ermitteln. Die Neigung der Stirnfläche 11 nach außen um den Winkel α wird nun so gewählt, daß dieser Winkel gleich oder größer als der Winkel ß zwischen den Vektoren vt und Vres ist. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß sich die zwischen der Farbaufnahmewalze 9 und der Stirnfläche 11 befindliche Farbe nicht nach außen bewegen kann. Insbesondere dann, wenn der Winkel α größer als β gewählt wird, ergibt sich ein Vektor Vres, der so gerichtet ist, daß die sich zwischen der Farbaufnahmewalze 9 und der Stirnfläche 11 befindliche Farbe in den oberen sich erweiternden Teil des Innenraumes des Grundkörpers 2 zurückgeführt wird.The area 10 of each side wall 3 and thus the end face 11 thereof, starting from the contact point B of the ink pick-up roller 9 in the area of the doctor blade 5 to the drainage point C in the area of the doctor blade 4, is arranged to be inclined outwards.
