Description

The innovation relates to a sheet delivery on rotary printing presses, in which the fed sheets are deposited on a lowerable deposit table to form a sheet stack, with a bar grate that can be inserted when the sheet stack is full, as an intermediate stacking device which, when inserted, has its front, free end on a support discards.

The disadvantage of this known device is that e.g. When using euro pallets that are larger than the maximum sheet format, the support of the intermediate stacking device collides with the euro pallet when the same is being raised. As a result, the function of the intermediate stacking device is considerably impaired. There is also the risk that the intermediate stack will be damaged or shifted by means of transport for the sheet feed, so that this also results in expenditure and costs.

Based on this state of the art, it is the task of the innovation to create an intermediate stacking device with support of the bar grate, which does not impair the function of the sheet delivery.

According to the innovation, this object is achieved in that the support is designed as a rail which is mounted horizontally displaceably from the area of the sheet stack by means of adjusting means. With this solution, for example, in Non-stop operation with a pallet that corresponds to the sheet format, so there is no risk of a collision. However, if the printer is forced to carry out certain print jobs that must then be placed on a Euro pallet and the machine does not work in non-stop operation, the support is shifted from the area of the sheet stack and also from the area of the pallet, so that the stacking table can be raised to the uppermost end position without the pallet colliding with the support of the intermediate stacking device.

In an advantageous embodiment of the innovation, the actuating means are arranged on both sides of the rail and are designed as pneumatic cylinders, the rail being mounted on the piston rods of the pneumatic cylinders. With this, the shifting of the rail can be linked in terms of circuitry with the retraction or extraction of the bar grate. Furthermore, the pneumatic cylinders are mounted on supports which can be lowered as the stack height of the intermediate stack increases. This lowering of the intermediate stacking device is necessary in particular when processing thicker sheet material in order to achieve an equal fall height of the sheets to be deposited.

An embodiment of the innovation is shown schematically in the drawing.

In the sheet delivery shown in the drawing, the sheets 1 to be deposited from gripper bars 2, which are provided on a chain system 3, are fed to a sheet stack 4 in a known manner. The sheet stack 4 rests on a not shown table, which can be lowered according to the increasing stack height. As soon as the sheet stack 4 has reached its full height, it is removed from the machine and an empty stack board is laid and moves it into its upper starting position to receive a new stack of sheets.

For the time of the stack change, an intermediate stack 6 is formed on an insertable bar grate 5. The bar grate 5 rests on a traverse 7 at its rear end. In the inserted state of the bar grate 5, its front free end is placed on a support 8. The support 8 is designed here as a rail 9, which is mounted on both sides of the piston rods 10 of pneumatic cylinders 11. By extending the piston rods 10 out of the pneumatic cylinders 11, the rail 9 can be moved with the support 8 to the right into the position shown in broken lines. In this position e.g. without using the intermediate stacking device, a pallet is placed on the lay-down table and the latter is moved into its upper receiving position without the pallet, which survives the maximum sheet format, colliding with the support 8.

The pneumatic cylinders 11 on both sides of the sheet stack are mounted on supports 12, to which the cross member 7 is also attached. The carriers 12 are provided with a guide 13 which are guided in a roller bearing 14. As the stack height of the intermediate stack 6 increases, the carrier 12 and with it the bar grate 5 and the intermediate stack 6 can be lowered vertically by means of a lifting device (not shown). This lowering is necessary for non-stop operation, especially with thick sheet material and high machine speeds.
