Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Konservieren von Hohlräumen, insbesondere an Automobilkarossen, geschaffen, bei dem Wachs mittels Applikationsdüsen auf die Innenwände des zu konservierenden Hohlraums aufgebracht wird. Das Wachs wird erhitzt und das erhitzte und verflüssigte Wachs wird unter Druck einer Vorzerstäuberdüse (15) zugeführt und von dieser zerstäubt. Zugleich wird Druckluft erhitzt und im erhitzten Zustand dem aus der Vorzerstäuberdüse (15) ausgetretenen und entspannten Wachströpfchenstrahl zugemischt.
Schließlich wird das heiße Wachströpfchen-Luft-Gemisch der Applikationsdüse zugeführt und von dieser auf die zu konservierenden Hohlraumwände gesprüht. Eine Einrichtung zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens besteht aus einer beheizbaren Zuführleitung (10) für das heiße und verflüssigte Wachs, einer Vorzerstäuberdüse (15) mit nachgeschaltetem Austrittsrohr, einer Druckluft-Zuführleitung (17) mit Lufterhitzer (19) und einem Düsenrohr (20) mit Applikations-Dusenöffnungen (20a).
A method for preserving cavities, in particular on automobile bodies, is created, in which wax is applied to the inner walls of the cavity to be preserved by means of application nozzles. The wax is heated and the heated and liquefied wax is fed under pressure to a pre-atomizing nozzle (15) and atomized by it. At the same time, compressed air is heated and mixed in the heated state with the wax droplet jet emerging from the pre-atomizing nozzle (15) and relaxed.
Finally, the hot wax droplet-air mixture is fed to the application nozzle and sprayed onto the cavity walls to be preserved. A device for carrying out this method consists of a heatable feed line (10) for the hot and liquefied wax, a pre-atomizing nozzle (15) with a downstream outlet pipe, a compressed air supply line (17) with air heater (19) and a nozzle pipe (20) with applications - nozzle openings (20a).
