Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing an impermeable and flexible band or hose, and to a device which is suitable for carrying out this method.
- the aim of the invention is the production of a press belt or a tubular press jacket, which is or should be suitable for a particular press device.
- a pressing device that is used for treating, in particular dewatering, a running material web, preferably paper web, the material web running through a press nip together with the press belt or with the press hose (and usually together with a felt belt).
- a press belt when this endless belt runs back to the press nip over a few guide rolls after leaving the press nip.
- a tubular press jacket is considerably shorter in the running direction; it runs outside the press nip in an essentially circular orbit either via a fixed support body with a radially movable press shoe forming the press nip or around a rotatable support body.
- the press belt or press jacket must be completely impermeable, i.e. be liquid-tight and flexible. At the same time, it must have a high tensile strength.
- the liquid tightness is achieved by forming a plastic layer, the high tensile strength on the other hand by a reinforcement in the plastic layer, which is formed from reinforcing threads.
- the endless reinforcement tape which is initially still uncoated, is rotated over at least two parallel rollers.
- a pouring nozzle an initially liquid plastic mixture in the form of a strand is poured onto the surrounding reinforcement band.
- the pouring nozzle is arranged on a slide which can be moved parallel to the axis of the rolls.
- the liquid plastic mixture can thus be poured onto the circumferential reinforcement tape in the manner of a screw line.
- the "turns" lying next to each other immediately combine to form a homogeneous, liquid-tight plastic layer.
- the screen fabric either extends along one surface of the finished press belt or press hose; or the offsets of the screen mesh protrude more or less from the plastic layer.
- the coating of the Reinforcement tape always on one and the same side of the screen fabric, preferably in a single operation.
- US Pat. No. 4,552,620 to coat both sides of the reinforcing tape in succession. This is intended to ensure that the reinforcement is safely within the plastic material and is therefore better protected from damage.
- this known manufacturing method is extremely expensive.
- the present invention has for its object to further develop the known manufacturing process in which the porous reinforcement tape is coated only from one side, such that the reinforcement tape is more encased by the plastic material in the finished product.
- vacuum is generated in a limited area in the zone mentioned by means of a vacuum nozzle; because the level of negative pressure can be controlled with relatively simple means.
- a sufficiently large negative pressure nozzle and a sufficiently large negative pressure it can be achieved that the still liquid or pasty plastic mixture is sucked into the reinforcing tape to such an extent that it is more or less, if desired emerges from the underside of the reinforcement tape.
- the amount of plastic cast on per unit area may have to be increased in order to achieve a sufficient layer thickness on the upper side.
- the device for producing a press jacket shown comprises two rollers 27 and 28 which are parallel to one another and which are rotatably mounted at their two ends in bearing blocks 15. Over these rollers 27, 28 runs an endless sieve belt 10 woven from plastic threads in tensioned state. The length of this sieve belt 10 in the direction of rotation (and thus the distance between the two rollers 27, 28) corresponds to the desired diameter of the finished press jacket, eg. B. diameter d in Fig. 3 of DE-PS 35 01 635. In addition to one of the two rolls, parallel to this, extends a machine bed 25. On this rests in slide guides 30, a carriage 26, which with the help of a Spindle 29 can be moved parallel to the rollers on the machine bed.
- Two containers 33 for two liquid plastic components are arranged on the slide.
- a mixing pump 34 is connected to these containers and to this a pressure line 35 which leads to a pouring nozzle 36.
- the mouth of this pouring nozzle is directed above the roller 28 onto the reinforcement band 10.
- the direction of rotation of the two rollers 27, 28 is such that the screen belt 10 initially runs from the point where the goat jet 11 hits the belt to the upper vertex of the other roller 27.
- a suction nozzle 12 is arranged in the space between the two rollers 27 and 28 and the upper sieve strand. Their suction mouth is at a very short distance from the underside of the belt 10; he can also touch the bottom of the screen belt.
- the suction nozzle 12 is arranged in the jacket of a cylindrical guide slide 13.
- This guide slide 13 lies in the interior of a tube 14 which extends parallel to the two rollers 27 and 28 and rests at its two ends on supports 16 which in turn are fastened to the bearing blocks 15.
- the said tube 14 has a longitudinal slot 14a through which the suction nozzle 12 extends outwards.
- the guide slide 13 has a connecting piece 13a for a hose 18 which extends through the pipe 14 to a suction blower 19 arranged outside the pipe.
- a rope 40 is attached to the guide slide 13. This rope also extends through the tube 14 and is guided over pulleys 41, 42 and 43 and is finally attached to one of the end faces of the carriage 26.
- the suction nozzle 12 is always exactly below the point where the goat jet 11 strikes the sieve belt 10. It can be seen in FIG. 2 that the poured-on plastic strand initially rests more or less on the top of the screen belt or only partially penetrates the screen belt. As soon as the plastic strand then runs over the suction nozzle 12, it is sucked into the screen fabric 10 much deeper.
- the schematic representation of FIG. 2 gives the impression that the liquid plastic is protruding from the underside of the sieve belt 10 behind the suction nozzle 12. This may be desirable in some cases; however, it is not a necessary requirement. Whether and how far this should be done (i.e.

Abstract
Description
Diese beiden Varianten sind beschrieben in der DE-OS 35 01 635 (= US-PS 4,625,376).The invention relates to a method for producing an impermeable and flexible band or hose, and to a device which is suitable for carrying out this method. The aim of the invention is the production of a press belt or a tubular press jacket, which is or should be suitable for a particular press device. What is meant is a pressing device that is used for treating, in particular dewatering, a running material web, preferably paper web, the material web running through a press nip together with the press belt or with the press hose (and usually together with a felt belt). One speaks of a press belt when this endless belt runs back to the press nip over a few guide rolls after leaving the press nip. In contrast, a tubular press jacket is considerably shorter in the running direction; it runs outside the press nip in an essentially circular orbit either via a fixed support body with a radially movable press shoe forming the press nip or around a rotatable support body. These two variants are described in DE-OS 35 01 635 (= US-PS 4,625,376).
B. DE-OS 33 18 984 = CA-PS 1235025 oder US-PS 4,552,620).Because of this purpose, the press belt or press jacket must be completely impermeable, i.e. be liquid-tight and flexible. At the same time, it must have a high tensile strength. The liquid tightness is achieved by forming a plastic layer, the high tensile strength on the other hand by a reinforcement in the plastic layer, which is formed from reinforcing threads. This reinforcement can be a fabric (see for example DE-OS 33 18 984 = CA-PS 1235025 or US-PS 4,552,620).
In a known manufacturing process, the endless reinforcement tape, which is initially still uncoated, is rotated over at least two parallel rollers. With the help of a pouring nozzle, an initially liquid plastic mixture in the form of a strand is poured onto the surrounding reinforcement band. The pouring nozzle is arranged on a slide which can be moved parallel to the axis of the rolls. The liquid plastic mixture can thus be poured onto the circumferential reinforcement tape in the manner of a screw line. However, the "turns" lying next to each other immediately combine to form a homogeneous, liquid-tight plastic layer.
During this process, the initially liquid plastic mixture penetrates more or less deeply into the screen mesh; see e.g. B. the following publications: DE-OS 32 31 039 (= GB 2 106 555) and DE-OS 32 35 468 (= GB 2 106 557).
In other words: the screen fabric either extends along one surface of the finished press belt or press hose; or the offsets of the screen mesh protrude more or less from the plastic layer. In all the cases mentioned, the coating of the Reinforcement tape always on one and the same side of the screen fabric, preferably in a single operation. However, it is also known (US Pat. No. 4,552,620) to coat both sides of the reinforcing tape in succession. This is intended to ensure that the reinforcement is safely within the plastic material and is therefore better protected from damage. However, this known manufacturing method is extremely expensive.
The present invention has for its object to further develop the known manufacturing process in which the porous reinforcement tape is coated only from one side, such that the reinforcement tape is more encased by the plastic material in the finished product.
This object is achieved in the method according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1. It was namely recognized that by forming a pressure difference between the top and bottom of the reinforcement band (in the zone where the poured plastic is still liquid or pasty), the depth of penetration of the plastic into the reinforcement band can be controlled to a much greater extent than before.
This is best achieved if, according to a further idea of the invention, vacuum is generated in a limited area in the zone mentioned by means of a vacuum nozzle; because the level of negative pressure can be controlled with relatively simple means. When using a sufficiently large negative pressure nozzle and a sufficiently large negative pressure, it can be achieved that the still liquid or pasty plastic mixture is sucked into the reinforcing tape to such an extent that it is more or less, if desired emerges from the underside of the reinforcement tape. It goes without saying that the amount of plastic cast on per unit area may have to be increased in order to achieve a sufficient layer thickness on the upper side.
- Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a device for producing a press jacket.
- FIG. 2 shows a cross section along line II-II of FIG. 1.
- FIG. 3 shows a detail in longitudinal section along line III of FIG. 2.
The device for producing a press jacket shown comprises two
So that the
It is essential that the
An important further embodiment of the invention can consist in coating or coating the jacket of at least the
If desired, it can be ensured in a certain zone of the width of the press jacket (or in several zones, for example in the area of the two ends of the
