Abstract

The invention relates to a mechanical apparatus on which its user stands and causes himself to be carried about in the vertical and horizontal planes in order to perform overhead work. With reference to the drawing: (1) is a self-propelling carriage with two vertical runners (2) enclosing the platform (3) elevating device. The platform on which the user stands is equipped with a safety cage (4) the top of which carries the console (5) for the forward, reverse and steering controls (18) of the carriage and the controls for raising and lowering the platform (3). En l'état actuel de la technique les travaux en hauteur notamment dans le second oeuvre du bâtiment sont réalisés à l'aide d'échelles doubles ou d'escabeaux, l'invention citée vise à pallier trois défauts majeurs de ces appareils.

  • 1/ L'utilisateur d'une échelle double ou d'un escabeau est contraint après exécution partielle de sa tâche de des­cendre au sol, de repositionner son escabeau ou échelle et de regravir les marches. Cette opération qui se renouvelle fré­quemment constitue une perte de temps et d'énergie inutile.
  • 2/ Le positionnement en hauteur de l'utilisateur est approximatif à savoir ± 20 cms ( hauteur d'une marche ) d'où mauvaises conditions de travail entrainant fatigue.
  • 3/ De la faible largeur des marches ou barreaux découle une position de l'utilisateur " perchée " qui l'oblige par­fois à mobiliser une main pour se maintenir en sécurité, d'où diminution de ses capacités fonctionnelles pour le travail à accomplir.

  • 2/ Une plateforme élévatrice 3 sur laquelle prend place l'utilisateur debout, munie d'une nacelle de sécurité 4 qui supporte en partie supérieure le tableau des commandes 5. Cette plateforme monte ou descend entre les deux coulisses.
