Description

The invention relates to a filling material according to the preamble of claim 1.

A filling material of this type is described and shown in DE-PS 31 41 294. In this known filling material, the container receiving the particulate adsorption material consists of a hose which can be produced simply and inexpensively in a one-piece design.

When filling the spacer profile with a hose mentioned above, the hose must be cut from a strip material to the appropriate length. A closure of the hose is required at the cut ends, since it can drain both before and after being drawn into the distance profile, which should be prevented, on the one hand, to avoid losses and, on the other hand, to prevent the adsorption material from leaking into the Prevent cavity of the spacer profile. Wear of the hose is labor and time consuming. The known hose is also relatively stiff due to its bulky filling, which makes handling in its arrangement in the distance profile difficult. Its arrangement in the area of the corners of the spacer profile frame is hardly possible due to its rigidity.

These disadvantages are also inherent in DE-OS 25 08 466 and FR-OS 2 518 158 filling materials, in which the adsorption material is accommodated in chambers formed by box-shaped construction, which are covered by a cover strip in a two-part construction. In addition, these configurations are expensive in terms of materials and manufacture.

Since adsorption materials with a relatively high capacity are available today, one is only about 50% filling of the spacer profile with filling material is required, which can save considerable material costs of the filling material. An approximately 50% filling of the hose according to DE-PS 31 41 294 is not usable since the adsorption material could migrate in the hose and, moreover, an approximately even distribution would not be guaranteed.

In order to obtain an approximately 50% filling, it has already been proposed to fill only two sides of a spacer profile frame with filling material. However, this measure also leads to an uneven distribution of the filling material, and it cannot be carried out in the continuous production of spacer profile frames from strip material. In addition, when using intermediate profiles consisting of spacer bars and filler material held thereon, different intermediate products, namely rods with and without filler material, must be stored and kept ready.

The invention has for its object to provide a flexible filling material that allows a lower degree of filling with a substantially homogeneous distribution over the length of the distance profile and can also be cut to length without any significant loss of adsorption material. The filler material should also be easy and inexpensive to manufacture and also be used to fill spacer frames with curved corners.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

In the embodiment according to the invention, the hose has filled and unfilled hose regions, of which the filled hose regions are arranged at regular or irregular intervals from one another, ie only every second or third etc. hose region is filled with adsorbent material. The number the filled areas of the hose is to be determined according to the capacity of the adsorption material used. Given the capacity of the adsorbents commonly used nowadays, an approximately 50% filling of the cavity of the spacer profile is sufficient to ensure the adsorption of moisture present between the insulating glass panes. In the embodiment according to the invention, the filling material can be cut to length without loss of adsorption material and also without a closure of the separation point if it lies in the region of an unfilled hose region. If the separation point is in the area of a filled hose area, then a small loss due to the quantity present in this hose area must be accepted, or the separation point must be closed. The losses of the adsorbent material can thus be avoided or significantly reduced.

The configuration according to the invention is also characterized by a simple and inexpensive design, because it is only necessary to connect the opposite wall sections of the hose in order to form the hose regions.

In the embodiment according to the invention, the filled tube areas each have the shape of a cushion, which can be handled well when arranged in the cavity of the spacer profile. The pillows and flat seams ensure the required rigidity of the filling material. The fixing in the cavity of the spacer profile can be done by clamping or by gluing. Despite the required rigidity, the hose according to the invention is very flexible or flexible or articulated, so that it can also be easily installed in corners and wound up on rolls as a supply and stored cheaply.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of preferred exemplary embodiments illustrated in a drawing. It shows
  • Figure 1 shows a portion of the filler material according to the invention in side view.
  • 2 shows the filling material in a top view;
  • Fig. 3 shows the section III-III in Fig. 1;
  • 4 shows a section of a spacer profile which forms a spacer for insulating glass panes and which forms an intermediate product with a filling material arranged therein;

The filling material designated 1 in FIG. 1 has an air-permeable hose 2, e.g. B. a perforated plastic tube. The hose can e.g. B. also consist of air-permeable fiber material and be flexible or flexible.

The fiber material may e.g. B. both a fabric and an arrangement of fibers in the sense of a fleece. In the present exemplary embodiment, the hose 2 is divided at regular intervals by connections of its opposite wall sections 3, 3.1 running in the transverse direction into hose sections 4, 5 lying one behind the other in the longitudinal direction, of which every second hose section 4 is filled with an adsorption material 6, while those with 5 designated hose sections are not filled. The connections result in flat seams 7, which give the unfilled tube sections 5 a flat shape.

Der Abstand l₂ zwischen den gefüllten Schlauchabschnitten 4 beträgt somit etwa 29 bis 43 mm.In the present exemplary embodiment, the width b of the flat seams 7 is approximately 2-4 mm and the mutually identical lengths 1 of the hose sections 4, 5 approximately 25-35 mm with a width b of the hose of approximately 10 mm. The length l ₁ of the unfilled tube sections 5 can, however, also be larger or smaller than the length l of the filled tube sections 4, preferably the length l ₁ of the unfilled tube sections 5 approximately 0.7 to 1.3 times the length l the filled hose sections is 4. The distance l₂ between the filled tube sections 4 is thus about 29 to 43 mm.

Diese Verbindung und die Verbindung der Flachnähte 7 kann durch Kleben, Siegeln oder Verpressen in heißem oder kaltem Zustand erfolgen.FIG. 3 clearly shows that the tube 2 is formed in one piece from a longitudinal strip 8, the longitudinal edges 9, 10 of which are preferably connected to one another by overlapping. This connection and the connection of the flat seams 7 can be done by gluing, sealing or pressing in a hot or cold state.

The section of the distance profile 11 shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 can be a so-called semi-finished product, i. H. a supply rod, from which smaller sections are to be separated, the length of which is determined by the size of the window to be produced, or it can also be the latter sections which are already tailored for a window size. In both cases, the supply rod or the frame section which has been cut to size can be provided as a prefabricated component or intermediate product 12.

Such a prefabricated component or intermediate product 13 can also be a ready-to-install spacer profile frame 14 (FIG. 6), the frame parts 15 of which extend from corner to corner and are connected to one another by corner plug-in connectors 16. In both of the above-described exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 4 to 6, the distance profile has the one shown in FIG. 5 shown rectangular cross-section, in whose cavity 17, the filling material 1 is arranged. There e.g. B. holes 17a are provided in a wall, the adsorption of the moisture contained between the insulating glass panes, not shown, is ensured.

The corners of the frame 14 can also be curved, as shown at the bottom left in FIG. 6. Such a frame 16 is preferably continuously bent from a strip material.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 6, the filling material can be arranged in sections of the frame parts 15 of corresponding length, or a section of the filling material 1 can also be provided, the length of which corresponds to the circumference of the spacer profile frame.

A stabilized or stiffer design of the empty hose sections 5 can be achieved in a simple and cost-effective manner by at least one longitudinal and / or transverse flat seam 7.1, 7.2, which connects the mutually opposite wall regions 3, 3.1 of the hose 2 and is indicated in FIG. 2. It is also advantageous for the same purpose to connect the opposite wall sections 3, 3.1 of the hose 2 over the entire area in the area of the empty hose sections 5 or in the area of the hose sections 1 2 located between the filled hose sections 4.
