Der Erfindung liegt die Erkenntnis zugrunde, daß durch das Aufwickeln der Haare der Strömungswiderstand im Bereich der Austrittsöffnungen größer wird. Dadurch verringert sich der Luftstrom, was wiederum bei vorgegebener Heizleistung zu einer Temperaturerhöhung führt. Erreicht dabei die Lufttemperatur einen vorgegebenen Wert, so werden die Borsten oder Zinken eingezogen, so daß die Locke, ohne abgewickelt zu werden, vom Wickelkörper abgestreift werden kann.The invention has the advantage that the bristles or tines are retracted without an operation when hair is wound on the winding body. Das temperaturabhängige Element 8 hat seine Form derart geändert, daß die Verstellvorrichtung 5 axial in Richtung auf den Handgriff 1 verschoben ist. Die Austrittsöffnungen 4 stehen in dieser Stellung nicht mehr den Befestigungspunkten der Borsten gegenüber, so daß die Borsten sichtbar eingezogen sind.
