Dispositif de commande d'un engin de travaux publics comportant deux équipements de travail (A, B), disposés res­pectivement à deux extrémités, longitudinales et/ou transversales, d'un châssis muni de roues motrices et/ou directrices, chacun des éléments constituant un équipement étant actionné par au moins un vérin hydraulique (7 à 12) par l'intermédiaire d'une valve de commande (13 à 18), cependant que le poste de commande de l'engin comporte un siège (1) pour l'opérateur, monté pivotant sur la plateforme de l'engin entre deux positions extrêmes, caractérisé en ce que les manipulateurs de télécommande (5, 6) des valves de commande des vérins sont montés sur la partie pivotante du siège, et disposés de préférence aux extrémités des accoudoirs dudit siège, cependant qu'il existe une transmission, connue en elle-­même, constituée par une pluralité de canalisations de com­mande (19 à 24) reliant respectivement chaque manipulateur et les valves de commande des vérins des éléments d'au moins un équipe­ment, lesdites canalisations étant réparties en deux groupes (19 à 22 et 23-24) correspondant respectivement à chaque équipement (A et B), ladite transmission comportant en outre, pour chaque groupe de canalisations, un interrupteur "tout ou rien" (25, 26) dont l'organe mobile est asservi à la position de la partie pivo­tante du siège.1.
