Abstract

A mechanical interlock for two switching devices, preferably electromagnetic switching devices, is described, which interlock is intended reliably to prevent the other switching device from being switched on when one switching device is switched on. The construction of the interlock is undertaken in such a way that when one switching device is switched on, the armature (4) of the other switching device is removed further from the associated yoke by being carried along out of its position of rest, so that a reliable blocking of the connecting movement of the other armature is guaranteed. The interlock can be applied especially in contactor-reverser combinations. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a mechanical locking device for two switching devices, preferably electromagnetic switching devices, which prevents the switching on of a switching device by blocking the switch-on movement of the armature of this switching device, as long as the other is switched on and vice versa.

In a known locking device of the type mentioned above (DE-PS 29 40 433), the contact bridge supports which can be moved parallel to the plunger anchors are connected to one another via levers attached to the housing, the free ends of which are loosely coupled to one another via a common locking slide. Due to the loose coupling, it cannot be ruled out under extreme conditions, for example if the attracted armature does not lie snugly on the yoke, that the other armature adversely affects the other switching device. The present invention is therefore based on the object of preventing the switched-on switching device from being influenced by the other switching device with simple effort in any case. This is achieved in a simple manner by designing the locking device in such a way that when the one switching device is switched on, the armature of the other switching device is removed from its rest position by entrainment from the associated yoke. The system has proven particularly effective when the anchors are hinged anchors and the entrainment consists of a bracket that couples the two anchors in the direction of switch-off. A simple embodiment results if the bracket projects over the free ends of the hinged anchor and the bracket in turn bears against the respective contact slide in the switching-on direction thereof. Use of the locking device according to the invention in reversing combinations is advantageous if the switching devices act as contactors in opposite directions direction of movement of their two hinged anchors are arranged in a housing as a contactor combination. In order not to have to observe any special tolerances that affect the mobility of the hinged anchor, it is advantageous if the hinged anchors, on their sides facing away from the bracket and the contact slides, are pressed against the yoke via springs that support a housing projection.

An exemplary embodiment according to the invention is described with reference to the drawing.
  • 1 shows a mechanical locking device within a reversing contactor combination in a side view, partly in section and
  • 2 shows the embodiment according to FIG. 1 with a more or less form-fitting coupling of the hinged anchors via the locking bracket.

The contactor turning combination shown in the drawing consists of the lower housing part 1, in which the yokes 2 are held with the coils 3 of the hinged armature systems. The hinged anchors 4 are supported on the one hand with the extensions 5 on the yokes 2. For this purpose, springs 6 are used, which are supported on the one hand on the armatures 4 and on the other hand on a housing projection 7. The free ends 8 of the hinged armature 4 protrude into a bracket 9 which, on the other hand, rests with its outer sides on extensions 10 of the contact slides 11, which are displaceably guided against the force of back pressure springs 12 in the housing halves 13. The movable contacts held in the slides 11, which interact with fixed contacts, are not shown in the exemplary embodiment.

If, for example, the coil 3 of the left system is now energized, the armature moves counterclockwise towards the yoke 2 and takes the bracket 9 and thus the contact slide 11 against the force of the spring 12 via the Extension 10 with. The other side of the bracket rests on the free end 8 of the other hinged armature and removes it further from the yoke 2 of the right system, so that when the right coil is switched on, the magnetic forces of the right system acting on the armature 4 are so low that pulling through is excluded is. The same situation applies to the left system, provided the right system was first energized. In order to ensure that the hinged anchors have a defined position in the rest position, that is to say when the systems are not switched on, the bracket can also have the position shown in FIG. 2, namely between the two free ends 8 there is a projection 14 which forms the crowned free ones Ends 8 holds more or less positively in cooperation with the bracket arms.
