Abstract

This is a pram whose base (10) is equipped with several pairs of wheels (14) mounted on vertical supports (15), displaceable in respect of height and connected in pairs by means of a horizontal slide (18). When the two wheels of each pair bear on the same plane, their supports (15) are halted vertically in a condition of balance through the action of the slide (18); when a wheel overhangs a step or ledge, its support (15) descends, the slide (18) is displaced in the direction of this wheel, while the support of the other wheel is released and rises so that the base (10) of the pram can bear on the ground, preventing any subsequent movement. <IMAGE>
