Abstract

A mattress (10) having a core of pocketed springs is described, which consists of a multiplicity of springs arranged successively which are welded individually into pockets (16) and the pockets are connected to each other in the manner of a row via welded seams (18), a plurality of these rows (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e) being arranged adjacently to form the mattress and being connected to each other at contact points. The object is to carry out the manufacture of the mattress in a simple and inexpensive form, the intention being to avoid tearing of the pockets even under increased loading of the mattress. For this purpose, provision is made for the connection (22) at the contact points of the individual rows to consist of a loop component having a multiplicity of loops, in which, starting from the opposite row, a shaft component having a multiplicity of hooked heads arranged on shafts engages. In this manner, a permanent connection, which can withstand extreme loading, is provided in the region of the contact points of the individual rows in the manner of a press-on closure. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a pocket spring mattress according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a pocket spring mattress is already known from EP 0 154 076. There the pockets are arranged in a row one behind the other and connected to each other via welds.

To form the mattress, several of the rows lie side by side, the rows being attached to one another at the points of contact, in particular in the area of the pockets, by means of an adhesive. This sticking together of the individual rows to form a finished mattress is disadvantageously labor-intensive and expensive, in particular because special mechanical devices have to be used to apply the adhesive exactly according to a special pattern and furthermore because the adhesive points have to be joined together under pressure.

In the known mattress there is also the risk that the covering of the pockets will tear, particularly in the area of the adhesive points, which can easily harden.

The object of the present invention is to develop a pocket spring core mattress of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the manufacture of the mattress can be carried out more easily and cheaply, and that tearing of the pockets or the cover is avoided.

To solve the problem, the characteristics of the characterizing part of the Claim 1 provided.

The essence of the invention therefore lies in the fact that the individual rows which form the mattress are connected to one another at the contact points or contact surfaces in the manner of a Velcro fastener. This type of fastening is simple and easy to carry out, since the components of the closure are simply applied, the loop or stem components being simply pressed together to connect the rows to one another.

The stem component with the large number of hook-shaped heads arranged on the handles penetrates the loop component in particular with the heads rounded in the direction of penetration, the hook-shaped heads, which each have a plurality of hooks bent towards the handle, being fixed in the loops in the manner of barbs. This creates an inseparable permanent connection, which, however, has a certain resilience such that the cover of the pockets does not tear even when the mattress is subjected to increased stress.

In an advantageous embodiment it is provided that the loop or stem components are arranged in strips at the points of contact of the rows.

In another embodiment, it is provided that the loop or stem components run in the form of a band along the side of the rows of pockets.

In one embodiment it is provided that the loop or stem components are sewn, welded, glued or clipped onto the outside of the bag.

Das Material der Schlaufen- bzw. Stielkomponenten besteht vorteilhaft aus Nylon bzw. Polyolefin. The material of the loop or stem components advantageously consists of nylon or polyolefin.

In a special embodiment, the loop or stem component has a thickness of approximately 5.1 mm in the compressed state.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of drawings which illustrate only one embodiment. The pockets 16 consist of a weldable or adhesive coating material and are closed in the area of welded joints 20. The individual pockets 16 are connected to one another via welded connections 18 to form a row 12a.

According to FIG. 2, the loop component 28, which is advantageously sewn or glued or also welded on, is applied laterally to the pockets 16 in the manner of strips in the region of the contact surfaces of the rows with one another.

The size of the strips of the loop component 28 depends on the type and size of the pockets 16 which are connected to one another in lateral areas. The shape of the pockets 16 is arbitrary and can in particular also be provided cylindrically.

In Fig. 4 ist die nächste Reihe 12b nach Fig. 1 dargestellt, wobei hier in seitlichen Bereichen der Taschen 16 die entsprechende Stielkomponente 29 aufgebracht ist, die ebenfalls in einfacher Art aufgeklebt, genäht oder aufgeschweißt sein kann.FIG. 4 shows the next row 12b according to FIG. 1, the corresponding stem component 29 being applied in the lateral regions of the pockets 16, which can also be glued, sewn or welded on in a simple manner.
