Definitions
- the invention relates to a switch for mounting on a circuit board (printed circuit board) and a device for actuating it according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the holding parts which support the counter-contact pieces arranged in the area of the switching arm movement and at the same time the switching arm, are placed directly on a first surface of a printed circuit board and have extensions on the underside of the printed circuit board for mechanical fastening the holding parts and for the electrical connection to be established at the same time are soldered to the conductor tracks running there.
- This makes it possible to manage with a few individual parts when building a snap switch with a bias spring, since the circuit board simultaneously forms a type of housing, in any case a supporting bearing part for the switch assembly.
- the problem here is the need for it to be suitably caused by external movement switching of the switching arm is possible.
- a separate actuating element is provided, which is mounted on the circuit board separately from the neck parts and through its own pivotability the biasing spring hinged to it at its other end changes its position with respect to the bearing point of the switching arm in such a way that, depending on the position of the outer actuating element different dead center positions of the switching arm and thus an investment in different mating contact pieces are possible.
- the problem here is the introduction of the external switching forces onto the actuating element, which then in turn switches the switching arm via the prestressing spring; since the printed circuit board is a flat structure, external switching forces usually act parallel to it on the actuating element, and there is also the risk that the actuating element mounted on the printed circuit board will be displaced from its storage or otherwise be tilted.
- the invention has for its object to provide a particularly simple switch as an ON / OFF switch or switch, which is also built directly on a printed circuit board as a bearing housing element and the switching operation is easily possible by a simple, separately stored plunger, so that the entire switch can be accommodated in the smallest space.
- the invention solves this problem with the characterizing features of the main claim and has the advantage that by operating the switch from below through an opening in the switch components or the circuit board, a particularly simply constructed actuating element can be used, which can nevertheless perform the switching arm movement like a snap switch without the need to store or take up the prestressing spring itself, and what is particularly important What is important is that the simple plunger forming the actuating element acts directly on the prestressing spring vertically to the printed circuit board and therefore also causes the switching arm movement not in a plane parallel to the printed circuit board but vertically to the latter.
- the switch concept according to the invention is particularly advantageously suitable for printed circuit boards which are inserted and cast in a potting housing which receives the printed circuit board, wherein the potting housing can at the same time perform management tasks in the area of the switching plunger.
- the switch is then actuated via the plunger from the underside of the frame, through the casting frame and the printed circuit board.
- the measures listed in the subclaims are advantageous further developments and improvements the invention possible.
- the possibility of additionally covering or surrounding the switch components built on the printed circuit board is particularly advantageous, but this housing does not assume any load-bearing or supporting functions with respect to the switch components, but rather only has an enveloping protective function.
- the switching plunger can be sealed with a sealing sleeve, so that the entire structure is protected against moisture, penetrating dirt particles and the like and can be used for any device as an electronic circuit component, in particular electric hand tools.
- Another advantage is the possibility of pre-assembling the main holding part, switching arm and pretension spring, since the switching arm comes into contact with projecting corner edges of lateral holding part legs and cannot spring apart.
- the basic idea of the present invention is to design the switch built on a switching or printed circuit board such that an acting plunger movement perpendicular to the printed circuit board brings the switching arm into its other over dead center position by direct contacting of the biasing spring, the switching plunger from the underside of the frame through the printed circuit board and possibly passed through a potting frame receiving the circuit board and is also stored there for displacement.
- FIG. 1 shows only a partial section of a printed circuit board with the potting frame accommodating it, only the part being shown that supports the switch according to the invention.
- the circuit board or switch plate is denoted by 10 and the switch attached to it overall by 11.
- the switch comprises a main bearing or holding part 12, which is shown again in greater detail in FIG. 2 and generally has a lump-like structure, which will be discussed further below.
- This main holding part 12 is of a generally U-shaped shape and has extensions 13a, 13b which pass through corresponding bores or openings in the printed circuit board 10 and are guided up to and slightly beyond the conductor track side thereof. This makes it possible to solder the extensions 13a, 13b, as indicated at 14, so that a secure hold for the main bearing part on the printed circuit board and the electrical connection to the connections on the conductor track side can be established at the same time.
- the main bearing part 12 at the same time stores the switching arm 16 in a recess 15, which is to be taken up by it in the two possible ones Positions shown in Fig. 1.
- a bias spring 18 At the switching arm 16 engages at 17 a bias spring 18 which is guided at its other end at 19 through a rear opening in the rear wall of the holding part and fastened there.
- the exact structure of the main holding part 12 is shown in FIG. 2 and comprises, in addition to the rear wall 20, two side walls 21a, 21b, which proceed from this to the left in the plane of the drawing and lie opposite one another at a predetermined distance, so that this results in the generally U-shaped shape.
- the main holding part 12 is shown in FIG. 2 in an inverted position compared to FIG. 1, ie with a view from below. It can be seen that the two side walls 21a, 21b form lower longitudinal edges 22 with which the main holding part 12 rests on the printed circuit board 10. This opposite front corner stops 22 '(on both sides) are formed, on which the switching arm in a preassembled state of the main holding part, ie this, switching arm and bias spring, is present and is held until it is inserted into the circuit board.
- the mentioned extensions 13a, 13b start from the rear wall 20 and form wing-like widenings 23 adjacent to the rear wall on both sides, which also serve as stop surfaces for bearing on the guide plate 10. It can also be seen that this main holding part is formed from a flat stamped piece, because the two outer wing inserts 23 are bent out of the recesses 24 in the side walls.
- the side walls Towards the front, the side walls have a knee-like indentation 25, which forms the support bearing for the switching arm 16, so that it can be pivoted relative to the main holding part 12 by this point mounting.
- a further holding part 26 is provided which forms the counter contact for the contact piece 16a on the switching arm 16 at 27;
- Main holding part 12 and further holding part 26 preferably consist of a suitable, electrically conductive metal, wherein the further holding part 26 with the counter-contact 27 can also have a contact connecting lug 28 in the form of an integral bending piece.
- the further holding part 26 also has downward extensions or extensions 29 which serve to fasten this holding part in through-bores in the printed circuit board 10, where they are soldered on the opposite side.
- the spring articulation point 17 is located on the switching arm 16 and the other articulation point 19 on the rear wall 20 of the main part 12 approximately at the same height and below the pivot point 11 for the switching arm 16, formed by the recesses 25 of the side walls 21a, 21b. It is therefore a stable dead center position and the switching arm movement into the other switching arm position, in which the switching arm rests on the mating contact 27, is then carried out by pressing on the spring at 30 in the drawing in FIG.
- the switch occupies this position as long as the spring 18 is pressed.
- a plunger 31 which passes through the printed circuit board 10 vertically and, for example with a widened head part 31a, presses from below in the plane of the drawing of FIG. 1 against the central region of the prestressing spring 18 and presses it further into the arched B-shape.
- the plunger 31 is preferably guided in a stepped guide bore 32 in a potting frame 33 which receives the printed circuit board 10; this potting frame 33 has a base plate 34 and integrally attached to it, for example a closed border 35 for receiving the potting compound, the guide bore 32 for the plunger 31 being formed by an upward and downward thickening 36 of the base plate 34 of the potting frame 33.
- the plunger 31 is automatically pressed outwards by the prestressing force of the spring in the starting position A and therefore receives sufficient prestressing; the pushing in of the tappet in the direction of arrow C, which corresponds to a force acting on the prestressing spring 18 in the middle thereof roughly in accordance with the double arrow D in FIG. 2, results from a suitable external actuation, whereby the tappet travels the stroke H until the Switching arm switches and in the simple on / off switch shown in this embodiment passes into the switch-on state marked by the system on counter contact 27.
- an elastic sealing sleeve 38 which may be made of rubber or another suitable elastomer, for example, and which is firmly attached to the lower part of the thickening 36 as an outer bandage, tapers in the direction of the plunger end, and engages in a ring recess 39 on the plunger.
- the sealing sleeve bulges outwards, as shown in dashed lines.
- the switch components can still be closed from a (partial) housing which is open downwards, ie in the direction of the printed circuit board 10; such a housing is indicated at 40 and forms an approximate box shape, which is fastened to the circuit board by conventional latching means, for example in the form of hook-shaped projections penetrating the circuit board.
- the actuation of the plunger 31 can then be carried out in any manner, for example and advantageously by means of a slide on the device side, which, for example, runs onto the plunger area with a gradually increasing inclined surface in the vertical plane and presses it upward in the plane of the drawing in FIG. 1.
- the finished after the potting block can therefore, as shown in the figures, only as a partial section, inserted into a device to be equipped accordingly and fastened in this so that the device-side slide mentioned can then act on the plunger.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a switch for mounting on a circuit board (printed circuit board) and a device for actuating it according to the preamble of claim 1.
In a known snap switch of this type DE-PS 28 02 133, the holding parts, which support the counter-contact pieces arranged in the area of the switching arm movement and at the same time the switching arm, are placed directly on a first surface of a printed circuit board and have extensions on the underside of the printed circuit board for mechanical fastening the holding parts and for the electrical connection to be established at the same time are soldered to the conductor tracks running there. This makes it possible to manage with a few individual parts when building a snap switch with a bias spring, since the circuit board simultaneously forms a type of housing, in any case a supporting bearing part for the switch assembly. The problem here, however, is the need for it to be suitably caused by external movement switching of the switching arm is possible. For this purpose, a separate actuating element is provided, which is mounted on the circuit board separately from the neck parts and through its own pivotability the biasing spring hinged to it at its other end changes its position with respect to the bearing point of the switching arm in such a way that, depending on the position of the outer actuating element different dead center positions of the switching arm and thus an investment in different mating contact pieces are possible. To a certain extent, the problem here is the introduction of the external switching forces onto the actuating element, which then in turn switches the switching arm via the prestressing spring; since the printed circuit board is a flat structure, external switching forces usually act parallel to it on the actuating element, and there is also the risk that the actuating element mounted on the printed circuit board will be displaced from its storage or otherwise be tilted.
In contrast, the invention has for its object to provide a particularly simple switch as an ON / OFF switch or switch, which is also built directly on a printed circuit board as a bearing housing element and the switching operation is easily possible by a simple, separately stored plunger, so that the entire switch can be accommodated in the smallest space.
The invention solves this problem with the characterizing features of the main claim and has the advantage that by operating the switch from below through an opening in the switch components or the circuit board, a particularly simply constructed actuating element can be used, which can nevertheless perform the switching arm movement like a snap switch without the need to store or take up the prestressing spring itself, and what is particularly important What is important is that the simple plunger forming the actuating element acts directly on the prestressing spring vertically to the printed circuit board and therefore also causes the switching arm movement not in a plane parallel to the printed circuit board but vertically to the latter.
Since a certain height is always required on the component side of the circuit board because of the other circuit components to be attached to the circuit board or to be accommodated and fastened thereon, this height can be used for the switching arm movement without such a switch therefore having a particularly large amount of space the PCB itself.
The switch concept according to the invention is particularly advantageously suitable for printed circuit boards which are inserted and cast in a potting housing which receives the printed circuit board, wherein the potting housing can at the same time perform management tasks in the area of the switching plunger. The switch is then actuated via the plunger from the underside of the frame, through the casting frame and the printed circuit board.
The measures listed in the subclaims are advantageous further developments and improvements the invention possible. The possibility of additionally covering or surrounding the switch components built on the printed circuit board is particularly advantageous, but this housing does not assume any load-bearing or supporting functions with respect to the switch components, but rather only has an enveloping protective function. Furthermore, the switching plunger can be sealed with a sealing sleeve, so that the entire structure is protected against moisture, penetrating dirt particles and the like and can be used for any device as an electronic circuit component, in particular electric hand tools. Another advantage is the possibility of pre-assembling the main holding part, switching arm and pretension spring, since the switching arm comes into contact with projecting corner edges of lateral holding part legs and cannot spring apart.

The basic idea of the present invention is to design the switch built on a switching or printed circuit board such that an acting plunger movement perpendicular to the printed circuit board brings the switching arm into its other over dead center position by direct contacting of the biasing spring, the switching plunger from the underside of the frame through the printed circuit board and possibly passed through a potting frame receiving the circuit board and is also stored there for displacement.
The illustration in FIG. 1 shows only a partial section of a printed circuit board with the potting frame accommodating it, only the part being shown that supports the switch according to the invention. The circuit board or switch plate is denoted by 10 and the switch attached to it overall by 11. The switch comprises a main bearing or holding
The main bearing
The exact structure of the
Correspondingly, the mentioned
Towards the front, the side walls have a knee-
In the starting position shown in FIG. 1, in which the biasing spring assumes its first position of the shortest length and running in a straight line, as indicated by A, the

To actuate this switching process via the spring action in a
The
Here, the upward, i.e. in the direction of the
The
It may be advisable to seal the
In a further embodiment of the present invention, if desired, the switch components can still be closed from a (partial) housing which is open downwards, ie in the direction of the printed
Finally, in the same way, to complete the switch structure to form a control module, for example for regulating the speed of machine tools and the like. Like. Electronics still arranged on the printed circuit board are also cast in, the
The actuation of the
All features shown in the description, the following claims and the drawing can be essential to the invention both individually and in any combination with one another.
