Description

Derartige Servierwagen sind bekannt: DE 34 44 799 A1.The innovation relates to a serving trolley according to the preamble of claim 1. Such serving trolleys are known: DE 34 44 799 A1.

With this serving trolley, it is considered necessary to be able to brake the trolley on all four wheels in order to stand safely, e.g. on the plane. The coupling of the braking devices provided on the two end faces of the serving trolley is very complex, especially since the braking forces are to be transmitted from the operating side to the opposite side. Things become even more difficult if both front sides of the serving trolley are to be suitable as the operating side - independently of one another. The object of the innovation is to provide a simple, reliable coupling for the brakes on both ends with a good possibility for easily releasing the braking device. This object is achieved according to the innovation in the serving trolley mentioned in a first embodiment by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. The solution specified here makes it possible to design the rocker arms of the two end faces of the serving trolley as brake pedals, so that the serving trolley can be operated from both end faces.

Insofar as it is not necessary to operate the serving trolley on both sides, namely in the so-called half-cart serving trolleys, according to a second embodiment, both rocker arms can be arranged in the same direction, so that only one rocker arm, the rocker arm on the operating side, is designed as a brake pedal. Here, the coupling rod can be directly on the underside of the bottom of the serving trolley run by being articulated on the rocker arms above the bearing points of both rocker arms.

Since friction forces have to be overcome when the rocker arms are actuated - the rocker arm must slide along the transition line of its two supporting surfaces on the underside of the floor - a roller is advantageously provided on the rocker arm, which facilitates this sliding process. The bearing of this role can also be provided as a pivot point for the coupling rod. As a result of the asymmetrical arrangement of the two support surfaces of the rocker arm, the latter holds itself in the braking position in that the line of action of the spring acting on the brake rod intersects the support surface with the greater distance from the pivot axis. The brake device can be released again in a simple manner in that the tip of the foot is placed under the brake pedal and then raised.

The braking device is also ideally suited for the additional attachment of its own brake release pedal, which is then also mounted directly on the brake rod next to the brake pedal. An angle lever articulated on the brake release pedal, which is supported on the underside of the bottom of the serving trolley and which reverses the rotary movement of the brake release pedal, serves as an ejector for the brake pedal, in that its free end lies behind a stop of the brake pedal.

Exemplary embodiments of the innovation are shown in the drawing and are explained in more detail below. Show it:
Figure 1
a first embodiment with operation of the braking device on both sides,
Figure 2
a second embodiment with one-sided operation of the braking device,
Figure 3 to 5
the additional arrangement of a brake release pedal.

According to FIG. 1, the serving trolley, which has a base plate 1 in detail but not shown, is on each end face 2, 3 provided with two castors 4, 5 each. These castors 4, 5 can be blocked by means of a brake rod 6, 7 running parallel to the end face 2, 3, the brake rod being displaceable downwards in vertical guide slots, but otherwise being pressed towards the base plate 1 by the force of a spring. On each brake rod 6, 7, a rocker arm designed as a brake pedal 8, 9 is mounted, which is supported in the driving position of the serving trolley by means of a support surface 10, 11 on the underside of the base plate 1. Each brake pedal has a second support surface 12, 13 which is at a somewhat greater distance from the pivot axis (brake rod 6, 7). At the transition line of the two support surfaces 10, 12 and 11, 13, a roller 14, 15 is provided, which rolls on the underside of the base plate 1 when the brake pedal is actuated. For example, if the brake pedal 8 is pressed down, it pivots about the brake rod 6, at the same time the brake rod is pressed down, and the roller 14 moves to the left on the underside of the base plate 1. The brake rod 6 is pressed down by the amount A, which is used to lock the wheels. By this amount A, the distance of the support surface 12 from the pivot axis (brake rod 6) is greater than the distance of the support surface 10. Furthermore, the support surfaces 10, 12 are arranged asymmetrically such that the line of action 16, the spring acting on the brake rod 6 spring on this side of the support surface 12 is so that the brake pedal 8 can hold itself in this position. The braking position is dashed in in Figure 1.

As can already be seen from FIG. 1, the arrangement of the rocker arm of the end face 3 designed as a brake pedal 9 corresponds exactly to the arrangement of the brake pedal 8 of the end face 2. The two rocker arms (brake pedal 8 and brake pedal 9) are only supported in opposite directions. For the positive coupling of the two rocker arms, a tensile and compressive rod 17 is provided, which is articulated on the one hand on the roller 14 of the left brake pedal 8 - i.e. above the pivot axis (brake rod 6) - and on the other hand on the right brake pedal 9 below its pivot axis. It is readily apparent that regardless of which brake pedal 8 or 9 is operated, the other brake pedal must follow this activity.

According to FIG. 2, the serving trolley shown here is only provided on its left side with a rocker arm designed as a brake pedal 81. This brake pedal is designed in exactly the same way as that previously described according to FIG. 1. On the right side of the serving trolley, however, only a simple rocker arm 91 is provided, which cannot be operated as a pedal. This rocker arm 91 corresponds with its support surfaces 11, 13 to the support surfaces 10, 12 of the brake pedal 81. The rocker arm 91 is arranged in the same direction as the brake pedal 81. This means that this rocker arm 91 can not be designed as a brake pedal, so that this trolley is only suitable for operation from its left side. Brake pedal 81 and rocker arm 91 are in turn coupled by a coupling rod 18 which runs close to the base plate 1 and is articulated in the bearings of the rollers 14, 15 in the same way both for the brake pedal 81 and for the rocker arm 91. This is possible because the rocker arm 91 is arranged in the same direction as the brake pedal 81.

According to FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, a special brake release pedal 19 is mounted on the brake rod 6 in addition to the brake pedal 8. This brake release pedal 19 is articulated on its end facing away from the tread surface 20 with an angle lever 21. This angle lever 21 rests with a roller 22, which is provided at one end 25, on the underside of the base plate 1. The other free end 23 of the angle lever 21 engages behind a driver 24 of the brake pedal 8. So if the brake release pedal 19 is depressed, the angle lever 21 rotates the rotary movement of the brake release pedal 19 and strikes the driver 24 with its free end 23 and throws so the brake pedal 8 out. This position is dashed in Figure 5.
