Claims (7)

  1. Electrical switching device (10), in particular line-protective circuit breaker, having a housing (12) formed from two flat shells (12), having arranged therein a switching mechanism which is coupled to a switching handle (14) and a moving contact lever (20) which assumes two stable switching positions, each switching position of the contact lever (20) corresponding to an end position of the switching handle (14), the switching handle (14) assuming an intermediate position when the electrical switching device (10) trips automatically, which position lies between its end positions and indicates the automatically tripped opening of the contacts (20, 22), characterized in that the housing (12) has a locking stud (24) which interacts with a toggle lever (18), connected in an articulated manner to the switching handle (14), of the switching mechanism (16) and serves as stop surface for said toggle lever for its locking, it being able to overcome the locking by manually actuating the switching handle (14) for its displacement into one of its end positions, and in that the locking stud (24) is preferably arranged in at least one of the flat shells (12).
  2. Electrical switching device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the locking stud (24) is integrally connected to the flat shell (12) or formed onto a holding part (21) which is placed into the flat shell (12) of the housing.
  3. Electrical switching device according to one of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the switching hand-lever (14) which is in an intermediate position can be fixed in only one end position, preferably in the switched-off position of the moving contact lever (20).
  4. Electrical switching device according to one of Claims 2 and 3, characterized in that the holding part (21) provided with the locking stud (24) is made from elastic material.
  5. Electrical switching device according to Claim 4, characterized in that the holding part (21) is switched off [sic] on its ends as strip with bent parts (24, 25) which in each case point in the same direction and whose legs (24, 25) have different lengths, the shorter leg serving as locking stud (24) and the longer leg (25) being supported on the switching mechanism (16).
  6. Electrical switching device according to Claim 5, characterized in that the strip (23) has close to the bent part of the longer leg (25) at its longitudinal edges two oppositely arranged indentations (26) which serve to accommodate holding studs of the switching mechanism (16) on which the holding part (21) centres itself.
  7. Electrical switching device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the flat shell (12) is provided with a groove which accommodates a holding part (21) and serves for its guidance.
