Definitions
- the invention relates to a worm drive for adjusting the angular position of vertical louvre blinds with a vertical axis arranged within a lamellar carrier housing, which carries a pinion connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner and is connected at the end to a lamella, the worm being in drive engagement with the pinion via an inner profile rotatable by a drive shaft.
- Vertical blinds generally serve as sun and / or privacy screens for windows. However, they can also be used for other purposes, such as for subdivision or division of larger rooms.
- Your generally made of textile material, strip-shaped, vertically arranged slats are each attached to a slat carrier at least at their upper end and generally pivotable about a central longitudinal axis, wherein a common pivoting of all slats of a vertical blind can be done by a common drive.
- the plate carriers are generally held in a mounting rail and can be moved along this by means of a drive.
- the slats In the open position, in which the window is not covered by the slats, the slats are practically moved together on one side to form a package, the slats running parallel to one another.
- the angular position of the individual lamellae is adjusted by means of a common drive, which generally has the shape of a drive shaft, which is in positive engagement with screws mounted in the lamella carrier housings.
- the vertical axis, on which the lamella is held, carries a pinion, which meshes with the worm, so that the rotation of the drive shaft Angular position of the slat is adjustable.
- the worm In a known drive of this type, the worm is supported with its two ends in the front and the rear wall of the disk carrier housing. To insert the screw into the housing, it must first be spread with a tool, which is not only cumbersome, but often leads to the housing breaking. In addition, the mounting of the screw on two end journals or flanges requires a deep construction of the disk carrier housing. This in turn has the disadvantageous consequence that in the open position, that is to say when the slats are moved together, a relatively thick slat package is formed which, in particular in the case of wide windows or large room dividers, undesirably takes on considerable dimensions.
- the invention has for its object to design the worm drive of the type mentioned in such a way that simple assembly is possible without the use of special tools and without the risk of a housing breakage.
- the overall depth of the plate carrier housing is to be reduced in order to reduce its expansion in the direction of the mounting rail, in particular when the plate pack is moved together.
- the screw has an axial central opening and is held by means of a snap sleeve on a tubular socket-shaped projection of the disk carrier housing. Thanks to this configuration, the assembly in a very simple way.
- the screw is pushed with its central opening onto the tubular socket-shaped projection, which could also be referred to as a hub, whereupon the snap sleeve is inserted, which rotatably holds the screw on the hub.
- the front wall of the housing can be completely eliminated.
- this also results in material savings.
- another remarkable advantage of the design according to the invention is that the worm is now held on a hub and no longer on the end of pins or flanges. As a result, the overall depth of the disk carrier housing can be reduced considerably, so that the space requirement of the retracted disk pack is considerably reduced.
- the worm has a circumferential internal toothing which is in engagement with an outer profile of the snap sleeve.
- the outer profile engages in the toothing of the worm and transmits the torque from the drive shaft via the worm to the pinion on the vertical axis.
- the profiling of the snap sleeve slides along the internal toothing of the worm under a certain resistance. A slip clutch is thus formed, which allows the drive shaft to be overtightened without damage.
- the internal toothing of the worm is preferably arranged in a circumferential recess, while the external profiling of the snap sleeve is formed by cams directed outwards from its collar.
- the collar of the snap sleeve is thus able on the one hand to hold the worm on its hub, while the cams engage in the internal toothing of the worm on the peripheral edge.
- the cams are advantageously held on a spring clip, which expediently from a cut-out part of the federal government Snap sleeve exist.
- the cams can thus yield radially resiliently.
- the spring force is sufficient to transmit the torque required to rotate the slats. In the event of resistance, they spring over the internal toothing of the worm so that damage to the drive parts can be ruled out.
- the snap sleeve preferably carries axially held and radially resilient hooks which engage behind the disk carrier housing.
- the hooks When the snap sleeve is inserted into the tubular socket-shaped hub, the hooks spring together radially inwards. In the end position, the hooks spring back radially outwards and thus hold the snap sleeve and worm rotatably on the hub of the housing.
- a circumferential recess is advantageously provided concentrically with the hub, into which the hooks of the snap sleeve engage.
- the hooks therefore do not protrude beyond the level of the rear housing wall, so that, accordingly, they do not contribute to an adverse increase in the overall depth of the housing.
- the end faces of the hooks are advantageously inclined outwards towards the collar of the snap sleeve.
- the inclined surfaces slide along the inlet opening and are thus pressed radially inwards. This considerably simplifies assembly, since only an axial pressure has to be applied to the snap sleeve in order to guide the hooks through the axial opening of the hub.
- the snap sleeve is provided with an inner projection which engages in a corresponding axial recess in the drive shaft.
- This preferably has Internal projection has a circular cross-sectional configuration, this profile engaging in a corresponding longitudinal recess in the drive shaft.
- the worm preferably comprises only one thread.
- This design facilitates the insertion of the vertical axis with the pinion formed hereby in one piece.
- the vertical axis with its end bearing journal is initially inserted obliquely into two axially offset half bearing shells, whereupon the second bearing journal is latched into the lower second bearing shell provided with an axial slot by lateral pressure. With a slight turn, the pinion engages with the single thread of the worm.
- the pinion of the vertical axis, with which the worm is in engagement extends, according to one embodiment of the invention, only over a partial circumference of the vertical axis and is delimited on both sides by a stop. As soon as the worm comes into contact with one of the stops, the slip clutch between the snap sleeve and the worm comes into operation, so that a further rotation of the drive shaft has no effect.
- the disk carrier housing 10 is in contact with the inner profile of a mounting rail (not shown here) via slide guide 11, 12, 13 and 14 and is moved along the mounting rail via a manual or motor drive.
- a vertical axis 15 is rotatably mounted in the housing 10 and bears a lamella holder or a hook 16 at its lower end for receiving a bracket 18 held on the lamella 17.
- the vertical axis 15 comprises an integrally formed pinion 19 hereby, but which extends only over half the periphery of the vertical axis 15 as the blade 17 itself in order not to be pivoted further than an angle of 180 o.
- the pinion is delimited by at least one stop 20 on the circumference of the vertical axis 15.
- the angular position of the vertical axis 15 and thus of the lamella 17 is adjusted via a worm drive which will be explained in more detail below with reference to FIGS. 2 to 7.
- FIG. 2 shows, protrudes from the rear wall 21 of the disk carrier housing 10, which has no front end wall, a tubular projection 22 forward into the interior of the housing 10, which forms the hub for the screw 23.
- the worm 23 comprises only a single thread 24.
- the diameter of the hub 22 is only slightly smaller than the inside diameter of the worm 23, so that it can turn easily on it.
- the worm 23 is held on the hub 22 of the housing 10 by means of a snap sleeve 25.
- Radially resilient hooks 26 extend through the axial recess of the hub 22 and spring radially outwards into a circumferential recess 37 on the rear side of the rear wall 21 of the housing 10, as is clear from FIG. 1.
- FIG 3 shows the worm drive in the assembled state, the worm 23 being held firmly, but rotatably, on the hub by the snap sleeve 25.
- the vertical axis 15 is inserted obliquely in two axially offset bearing half-shells 27 of the housing 10, whereupon, as indicated by arrows in FIG. 3, the lower bearing journal 28 is latched into the lower bearing shell 29 provided with an axial slot by lateral pressure.
- the pinion 19 comes into engagement with the worm gear 24 of the worm 23.
- the front view of the snap sleeve 25 shown in FIG. 4 shows that it carries two cams 30 on the outer periphery of the collar which engage with the internal teeth 31 of the worm 23 shown in section in FIG. 6.
- the snap sleeve 25 is at a distance from the outer circumference with two other opposite, circular arcuate recesses 32, whereby spring clips 33 are formed which carry the cams 30.
- the cams 30 are thus in resilient engagement with the internal teeth 31 of the worm 23, so that only a predetermined torque is transmitted.
- the snap sleeve 25 is also provided on its inside with a circular projection 34, for positive engagement with the drive shaft not shown in the drawings, which is provided with a corresponding longitudinal recess.
- the snap sleeve 25 starting from its collar, is provided with axially extending hooks 26.
- the hooks 26 have an outwardly inclined end surface 27 which facilitates the insertion of the snap sleeve 25 into the hub 22, the hooks 26 being guided radially inwards.
- the worm 23 carries an annular flange 36 adjacent to the inner toothing 31, against which the snap sleeve 25 bears when it engages the worm 23 and the hub 22.
- FIG. 7 shows a section through the housing 10 with the worm drive mounted.
- the worm 23 is placed on the hub 22, and the snap sleeve 25 engages with its hooks 26 in the annular recess 37 on the back of the rear wall 21 of the housing 10.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a worm drive for adjusting the angular position of vertical louvre blinds with a vertical axis arranged within a lamellar carrier housing, which carries a pinion connected to it in a rotationally fixed manner and is connected at the end to a lamella, the worm being in drive engagement with the pinion via an inner profile rotatable by a drive shaft.
Vertical blinds generally serve as sun and / or privacy screens for windows. However, they can also be used for other purposes, such as for subdivision or division of larger rooms. Your generally made of textile material, strip-shaped, vertically arranged slats are each attached to a slat carrier at least at their upper end and generally pivotable about a central longitudinal axis, wherein a common pivoting of all slats of a vertical blind can be done by a common drive. The plate carriers are generally held in a mounting rail and can be moved along this by means of a drive.
In the open position, in which the window is not covered by the slats, the slats are practically moved together on one side to form a package, the slats running parallel to one another.
As already mentioned, the angular position of the individual lamellae is adjusted by means of a common drive, which generally has the shape of a drive shaft, which is in positive engagement with screws mounted in the lamella carrier housings. The vertical axis, on which the lamella is held, carries a pinion, which meshes with the worm, so that the rotation of the drive shaft Angular position of the slat is adjustable.
In a known drive of this type, the worm is supported with its two ends in the front and the rear wall of the disk carrier housing.
In view of this problem, the invention has for its object to design the worm drive of the type mentioned in such a way that simple assembly is possible without the use of special tools and without the risk of a housing breakage. At the same time, the overall depth of the plate carrier housing is to be reduced in order to reduce its expansion in the direction of the mounting rail, in particular when the plate pack is moved together.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features specified in the characterizing part of the main claim, reference being made to the features of the subclaims with regard to preferred configurations of the worm drive according to the invention.
According to the invention it is provided that the screw has an axial central opening and is held by means of a snap sleeve on a tubular socket-shaped projection of the disk carrier housing. Thanks to this configuration, the assembly in a very simple way. The screw is pushed with its central opening onto the tubular socket-shaped projection, which could also be referred to as a hub, whereupon the snap sleeve is inserted, which rotatably holds the screw on the hub. With this design, the front wall of the housing can be completely eliminated. In addition to the considerably simplified assembly, this also results in material savings. Finally, another remarkable advantage of the design according to the invention is that the worm is now held on a hub and no longer on the end of pins or flanges. As a result, the overall depth of the disk carrier housing can be reduced considerably, so that the space requirement of the retracted disk pack is considerably reduced.
According to a preferred embodiment of the worm drive according to the invention, the worm has a circumferential internal toothing which is in engagement with an outer profile of the snap sleeve. The outer profile engages in the toothing of the worm and transmits the torque from the drive shaft via the worm to the pinion on the vertical axis. In the event of resistance or in the end position of the slat position, the profiling of the snap sleeve slides along the internal toothing of the worm under a certain resistance. A slip clutch is thus formed, which allows the drive shaft to be overtightened without damage.
The internal toothing of the worm is preferably arranged in a circumferential recess, while the external profiling of the snap sleeve is formed by cams directed outwards from its collar. The collar of the snap sleeve is thus able on the one hand to hold the worm on its hub, while the cams engage in the internal toothing of the worm on the peripheral edge.
The cams are advantageously held on a spring clip, which expediently from a cut-out part of the federal government Snap sleeve exist. The cams can thus yield radially resiliently. The spring force is sufficient to transmit the torque required to rotate the slats. In the event of resistance, they spring over the internal toothing of the worm so that damage to the drive parts can be ruled out.
The snap sleeve preferably carries axially held and radially resilient hooks which engage behind the disk carrier housing. When the snap sleeve is inserted into the tubular socket-shaped hub, the hooks spring together radially inwards. In the end position, the hooks spring back radially outwards and thus hold the snap sleeve and worm rotatably on the hub of the housing.
On the back of the housing, a circumferential recess is advantageously provided concentrically with the hub, into which the hooks of the snap sleeve engage. The hooks therefore do not protrude beyond the level of the rear housing wall, so that, accordingly, they do not contribute to an adverse increase in the overall depth of the housing.
The end faces of the hooks are advantageously inclined outwards towards the collar of the snap sleeve. When the snap sleeve is inserted into the hub of the housing, the inclined surfaces slide along the inlet opening and are thus pressed radially inwards. This considerably simplifies assembly, since only an axial pressure has to be applied to the snap sleeve in order to guide the hooks through the axial opening of the hub.
Preferably, four hooks are held on the snap sleeve by 90 ° to each other. The holding force is thus distributed symmetrically and evenly. The snap sleeve is provided with an inner projection which engages in a corresponding axial recess in the drive shaft. This preferably has Internal projection has a circular cross-sectional configuration, this profile engaging in a corresponding longitudinal recess in the drive shaft.
The worm preferably comprises only one thread. This design facilitates the insertion of the vertical axis with the pinion formed hereby in one piece. The vertical axis with its end bearing journal is initially inserted obliquely into two axially offset half bearing shells, whereupon the second bearing journal is latched into the lower second bearing shell provided with an axial slot by lateral pressure. With a slight turn, the pinion engages with the single thread of the worm.
The pinion of the vertical axis, with which the worm is in engagement, extends, according to one embodiment of the invention, only over a partial circumference of the vertical axis and is delimited on both sides by a stop. As soon as the worm comes into contact with one of the stops, the slip clutch between the snap sleeve and the worm comes into operation, so that a further rotation of the drive shaft has no effect.

The
The front view of the
The
From Fig. 5 it is clear that the
The
At this point it should be emphasized once again that the foregoing description is merely of such an exemplary character and that various changes and modifications are possible without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, it is possible to give the snap sleeve 25 a different external profile, which is in engagement with the
