Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement with a liquid-fillable container with an outlet opening and with a pumping device with a pump chamber and a rotating impeller for accelerating the liquid, with a single-phase synchronous motor for driving the pump and with a pump inlet line, which is located below the Container outlet opening is located and connects this to the suction nozzle via a liquid blocking agent arranged in the liquid inlet on the suction side.
- the mass moment of inertia of the load which acts on the motor when it starts up, must therefore be limited to a value that allows the motor to ramp up to a synchronous speed within a period of less than half a network period. Conversely, for a given moment of inertia, the motor must be so strong and the tipping power selected so that the motor can start, even if the tipping power is never required after the start has been made in operation.
- the delivery rate depends approximately on the square of the diameter of the pump blades, while the moment of inertia increases with the fourth power of the blade diameter.
- the achievement of a greater delivery capacity for a given motor tipping capacity is therefore subject to narrow limits, since the moment of inertia quickly becomes so great that the motor can no longer start. This is contrasted by the fact that a single-phase synchronous motor after start-up, when there are no more acceleration torques to be applied, is not fully utilized under normal operating conditions as a pump drive.
- a common control means is provided for the pump device and the liquid blocking means, the pump device is arranged spatially below the container outlet opening and is filled with liquid when the liquid blocking agent is open, the common control means only electrically switches on the pump device when the pump chamber is not yet or only to a small extent filled with liquid, for which purpose the control means initially keeps the liquid blocking means closed, the common control means closes the liquid blocking means before the pump device is switched off and the pump device is switched off with a time delay when the pump chamber is empty or almost empty, and - A check valve on the pressure side of the pump is so close to the outlet nozzle that the residual liquid flowing back into the pump chamber after switching off the pump arrangement and activation of the check valve fills the pump chamber to such a small extent that the start-up of the synchronous motor is not hindered.
- the effective motor power of the arrangement can be largely adapted to the required pump power. If the pump chamber is not filled with liquid when it starts up, the mass moment of inertia is not increased by the proportion of the liquid to be accelerated. The required acceleration moments are therefore not increased by acceleration moments for the liquid.
- liquid blocking means and / or the check valve are integrated in the pump. This creates a compact unit that is fully functional and in which the drainage and control rooms are coordinated so that the motor starts up.
- the liquid blocking agent is located in the pump inlet line below the intake port and after the pump is switched off and the check valve is activated, residual liquid that is returned can be collected in the space between the intake port and the liquid blocking agent. A sufficient amount of the residual liquid can run out of the pump, even if the check valve is not installed in the immediate vicinity of the start-up nozzle.
- the pump wheel is rotatable about a vertical axis and that the intake port is located at the lowest point of the pump chamber below the pump wheel. In this way it can be achieved that after the check valve is closed the pump is completely drained and the motor can be started safely.
- control means can be activated by means of a timer, a liquid sensor, a pressure sensor, a level switch and an auxiliary contact, for example in the door of a dishwasher.
- the control means which controls the liquid blocking means and the pump, can thus be actuated in various ways, either via access via the Timer or via appropriate sensors or an auxiliary contact in the door of a device.
- the arrangement is preferably used in dishwashers or washing machines and using z. B. pressure sensors or level switches for pumping excess water.
- FIG. 1 shows, as an example, a container 1 of a dishwasher, in which dishes, not shown, arranged on dishwasher baskets, not shown, can be washed.
- a pump device 5 is located below the outlet opening 4 and is via a pump inlet line 15 connected to this.
- water used for dishwashing can be pumped up via a line 6 to a rinsing outlet 7.
- the pump 5b is driven by the two-pole single-phase synchronous motor 5a, which rotates a pump wheel 10 within a pump chamber 11 via a shaft 9.
- the pump wheel 10 rotates in a pump chamber 11 and is provided with elastic wings 12.
- the liquid to be pumped is sucked in via an intake port 13 and pressed into the line 6 via an outlet port 14.
- a control means 19 in the form of a microprocessor is provided, which can control the pump device 5 via a control line 20.
- Another control line 21 leads from the liquid valve 17 to the control means 19.
- control commands for the liquid valve 17 and the Pump device 5 are emitted by the control means 19 in accordance with control signals which reach the control means 19 via a line 22 from the sensor 16, via lines 23 from a door contact switch 24, via a line 25 from a timer 26, via a line 29 from a Level switch 27 and via a line 30 from a pressure sensor 28.
- the entire structure of the arrangement is such that the pump chamber 11 is always emptied or partially emptied before the pump starts. This is accomplished as follows:
- the control means 19 initially keeps the water blocking means 17 closed.
- the pump chamber 11 is then not or only to a small extent filled with water, and the control means 19 keeps the water blocking means 17 closed, caused by the control line 21.
- the common control means 19 opens the water shut-off valve 17 with a time delay after the pump has started.
- the pump can therefore, because the pump chamber is essentially empty, initially run unloaded by a liquid in the synchronous run with, for example, 3,000 revolutions at a mains frequency of 50 Hz.
- the pump and single-phase synchronous motor can then develop their full performance.
- the common control means 19 initially closes the water blocking means 17 via the control line 21.
- the pump device 5 continues to run and pumps its pumping chamber 11 empty. After that switches the pumping device 5 off with a time delay when the pump chamber 11 is empty or almost empty. A return of the water from the pressure side via the line 6 is not possible, since the check valve 18 prevents the residual water column on the pump pressure side above the valve 18 in the line 6 from flowing back. The pump chamber 11 is thus almost empty, and the pump can run up unhindered by liquid when restarted.
- Different control options are provided which transmit to the control means 19 its control signals for controlling the starting and stopping processes.
- One of the signal transmitters is a sensor 16.
- the microprocessor 19 can close the shut-off valve 17 and switch off the pump device 5 with a time delay.
- the switching-on process of the pump device 5 can also begin if this is provided by the timer.
- a shutdown of the pump device 5 is provided after the shutoff valve 17 has previously been closed when the door contact 24 is opened. If the door contact 24 is closed again, the start-up process of the pump device 5 begins with the shut-off valve 17 initially closed. Further control options arise with the aid of level switches and pressure valves.
- Fig. 3 shows a modified structure of the arrangement of FIG. 1, the same parts being provided with the same reference numerals.
- the locking means 17 is arranged at a lower level than the intake socket 13. This creates a collecting zone 4a for flowing back liquid when the check valve 18 is blocked, and the pump chamber 11 is then largely emptied when the collecting zone 4a is appropriately dimensioned.
- FIG. 4 shows a pump arrangement with a vertical course of the pump wheel axis 9.
- the intake port 13 is located at the lowest point of the pump chamber 11. After the check valve is closed, the residual liquid can collect completely in the intake port if the shut-off valve 17 is closed.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement with a liquid-fillable container with an outlet opening and with a pumping device with a pump chamber and a rotating impeller for accelerating the liquid, with a single-phase synchronous motor for driving the pump and with a pump inlet line, which is located below the Container outlet opening is located and connects this to the suction nozzle via a liquid blocking agent arranged in the liquid inlet on the suction side.
B. Hilfswicklungen oder Reibungskupplungen verzichten will. From DE-PS 24 07 109 a pump device for liquids, consisting of a liquid pump and a single-phase synchronous motor, for driving this pump is known. The advantage of this pump device with a single-phase synchronous motor consists in a compact and economical construction with a high power volume. It is disadvantageous that the motor power that is possible with a design that has been made cannot be fully utilized for the pumping because the single-phase synchronous motor starts poorly under load if you use additional electronic or mechanical aids such. B. wants to do without auxiliary windings or friction clutches. The mass moment of inertia of the load, which acts on the motor when it starts up, must therefore be limited to a value that allows the motor to ramp up to a synchronous speed within a period of less than half a network period. Conversely, for a given moment of inertia, the motor must be so strong and the tipping power selected so that the motor can start, even if the tipping power is never required after the start has been made in operation.
In the case of a pump, the delivery rate depends approximately on the square of the diameter of the pump blades, while the moment of inertia increases with the fourth power of the blade diameter. The achievement of a greater delivery capacity for a given motor tipping capacity is therefore subject to narrow limits, since the moment of inertia quickly becomes so great that the motor can no longer start. This is contrasted by the fact that a single-phase synchronous motor after start-up, when there are no more acceleration torques to be applied, is not fully utilized under normal operating conditions as a pump drive.
In order to counter this difficulty, the moment of inertia in the pumping device according to DE-PS 24 07 109 when starting by using elastic wings limited to a value that does not exceed the available acceleration torques. Furthermore, a rotational play is described in DE-PS 36 08 566, which contributes to relieving the load on the motor when starting. Both measures improve the start-up of a pump device with a single-phase synchronous motor, but especially with larger pump capacities and thus with larger blade diameters are not sufficient to make a clear oversizing of the motor superfluous for reasons of start-up or to reduce it so that the use of a single-phase Synchronous motor is still interesting.
It is an object of the invention to provide an arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset in which the motor can be dimensioned primarily with a view to the required pump power and oversizing is not required or is only required to a small extent for reasons of start-up.
The object is achieved in that
a common control means is provided for the pump device and the liquid blocking means,
the pump device is arranged spatially below the container outlet opening and is filled with liquid when the liquid blocking agent is open,
the common control means only electrically switches on the pump device when the pump chamber is not yet or only to a small extent filled with liquid, for which purpose the control means initially keeps the liquid blocking means closed,
the common control means closes the liquid blocking means before the pump device is switched off and the pump device is switched off with a time delay when the pump chamber is empty or almost empty, and
- A check valve on the pressure side of the pump is so close to the outlet nozzle that the residual liquid flowing back into the pump chamber after switching off the pump arrangement and activation of the check valve fills the pump chamber to such a small extent that the start-up of the synchronous motor is not hindered.
If the arrangement of the pump and motor initially starts unloaded by the liquid when the pump chamber is empty or nearly empty and the liquid supply to the pump chamber begins only after the start-up by opening the water blocking agent, the effective motor power of the arrangement can be largely adapted to the required pump power. If the pump chamber is not filled with liquid when it starts up, the mass moment of inertia is not increased by the proportion of the liquid to be accelerated. The required acceleration moments are therefore not increased by acceleration moments for the liquid.
According to a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the liquid blocking means and / or the check valve are integrated in the pump. This creates a compact unit that is fully functional and in which the drainage and control rooms are coordinated so that the motor starts up.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the liquid blocking agent is located in the pump inlet line below the intake port and after the pump is switched off and the check valve is activated, residual liquid that is returned can be collected in the space between the intake port and the liquid blocking agent. A sufficient amount of the residual liquid can run out of the pump, even if the check valve is not installed in the immediate vicinity of the start-up nozzle.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the pump wheel is rotatable about a vertical axis and that the intake port is located at the lowest point of the pump chamber below the pump wheel. In this way it can be achieved that after the check valve is closed the pump is completely drained and the motor can be started safely.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the control means can be activated by means of a timer, a liquid sensor, a pressure sensor, a level switch and an auxiliary contact, for example in the door of a dishwasher. The control means, which controls the liquid blocking means and the pump, can thus be actuated in various ways, either via access via the Timer or via appropriate sensors or an auxiliary contact in the door of a device.
The arrangement is preferably used in dishwashers or washing machines and using z. B. pressure sensors or level switches for pumping excess water.

Die zu pumpende Flüssigkeit wird über einen Ansaugstutzen 13 angesaugt und über einen Auslaßstutzen 14 in die Leitung 6 hinein gedrückt.1 shows, as an example, a container 1 of a dishwasher, in which dishes, not shown, arranged on dishwasher baskets, not shown, can be washed. At the
The liquid to be pumped, the rinsing water mixed with a cleaning agent, for example, reaches the
A control means 19 in the form of a microprocessor is provided, which can control the
The control commands for the
Dies wird wie folgt erreicht:The entire structure of the arrangement is such that the
The control means 19 initially keeps the water blocking means 17 closed. When starting up for the first time, the
If the pumping is to be stopped, the common control means 19 initially closes the water blocking means 17 via the
Different control options are provided which transmit to the control means 19 its control signals for controlling the starting and stopping processes. One of the signal transmitters is a
In all control processes, it is therefore possible to always start the
Fig. 3 shows a modified structure of the arrangement of FIG. 1, the same parts being provided with the same reference numerals. the common control means (19) only switches on the pump device (5) electrically when the pump chamber (11) is not yet or only to a small extent filled with liquid, for which purpose the control means (19) initially keeps the liquid blocking means (17) closed,
- the common control means (19) opens the liquid blocking means (17) after the pump has started,
- The common control means (19) before switching off the pump device (5) closes the liquid blocking means (17) and the pump device (5) is switched off with a time delay when the pump chamber (11) is empty or almost empty, and
- A check valve (18) on the pressure side of the pump (5b) is arranged so close to the outlet port (14) that the residual liquid flowing back into the pump chamber (11) after the pump arrangement (5) and activation of the check valve (18), the pump chamber (11) only fills to such a small extent that the start-up of the synchronous motor (5a) is not hindered (FIGS. 1, 2).
