Description

La présente invention concerne un mousqueton à combinaison à mécanisme plan du type selon le préambule de la revendication 1.The present invention relates to a planar mechanism combination carabiner of the type according to the preamble of claim 1.

Conventional combination padlocks are known, such as that shown for example in FIG. 5, which comprises a plurality of knobs D pivotally mounted on a hoop S, each knurl D being perpendicular to an axis A of a branch of the arch S, and which can have certain drawbacks as follows.
  • 1 °) When you wish to open such a padlock, you must pull upwards the locking end of the arch S then rotate it in the direction R around the axis A to remove the padlock from a mounted clip for example on the frame of a door, which makes its operation difficult.
  • 2) All the knobs D are perpendicular to the arch S and it is therefore not possible to provide a thin case, which also requires a large space for its handling and storage.

The present inventor has noted these drawbacks and has invented the present planar mechanism combination carabiner to overcome the above-mentioned drawbacks.

Le but de la présente invention est de fournir un mousqueton à combinaison à mécanisme plan selon la revendication 1.The object of the present invention is to provide a planar mechanism combination carabiner according to claim 1.

The elastic sliding latch 5 which is slidably mounted against a first longitudinal side 1c of the first cover 1 comprises: a plurality of sleeve holes 51 formed in the latch and in which the sleeves 4 engage functionally, a return spring 52 formed on a lower portion of the lock held in a spring pocket 21 formed in the second cover 2 against the second transverse side 1b of the first cover 1 to normally bring the lock 5 down, and an upper extension 53 formed on an upper portion of the latch opposite the spring 52 to functionally stop the horizontal arm portion 123 of the closing tab 12 when the device of the present invention is closed. Each sleeve hole which has the general shape of an ellipse 51 includes a tongue portion 50 which tapers downwards from the upper periphery of the hole 51 and defines two inclined surfaces 501 converging downwards to cooperate functionally with the two inclined surfaces 430 of a notch 43 of the sleeve 4 as shown in FIG. 2A, and a curved and concave edge 502 laterally intersecting the two inclined surfaces 501 and coming to cooperate functionally with the circumference of the sleeve as shown in FIG. 2. The distance between the curved edge 502 and the lower periphery of the hole 51 is generally equal to the diameter of the sleeve. This means that the diameter of the sleeve is equal to the length of a long axis D minus the longitudinal length T of the tongue portion 50, as shown in Figure 1. The width of the short axis of the sleeve hole 51 is slightly more important than the diameter of the sleeve. The lowest hole 51a can be hollowed out on one side of the latch 5 to directly form a spring 52 on the latch.

When the device of the present invention is closed, the dial 3 can be turned to drive the sleeve 4 and allow the two inclined surfaces 430 of the notch 43 to push the two inclined surfaces 501 and the tongue portion 50 of the latch 5 so as to raise the bolt, the upper extension 53 of the bolt 5 stopping the horizontal arm portion 123, which means that the tongue 12 cannot be pressed inwards and open the carabiner, while the spring 126 brings the tongue 12 outwards to allow the inclined surface 122a of the vertical arm portion 122 to be placed on the inclined surface 113 of the opening end of the hook 11, which determines a locking position of the tongue 12 without movement inwards or outwards.

When the device of the present invention is opened by rotating the knobs 3 towards the opening combinations, the tongue portion 50 of the latch 5 is pulled down so as to be engaged in the notch 43 of the sleeve 4 by the return spring 52 and lower the extension 53 by ceasing to stop the horizontal arm portion 123, after which, when the tongue 12 is pressed, the vertical arm portion 122 opens relative to the hook 11 and opens the carabiner of this invention.

To modify a combination of the carabiner of the present invention, the tongue 12 is pressed to allow the horizontal arm portion 123 to apply pressure on the latch 5 and to engage the tongue portion 50 in the notch 43 of the sleeve, which means that the knobs 3 can be turned without being coupled to sleeves 4, to establish a new combination.

The carabiner of the present invention is superior to the conventional combination padlock and has the following advantages:
  • 1 °) All the elements are generally flat and thin in order to save space.
  • 2) The tongue 12 is actuated in a plane to open and close the carabiner in order to facilitate its operation.
