Claims (4)

  1. Krankenhausbett (10) des Typs, der eine etwa starre Plattform (32, 34, 36, 50) aufweist, an der bewegbare Patienten-Tragoberflächen angebracht sind, die aus einer im allgemeinen horizontalen Position in eine angehobene Position bewegbar sind und Kopf-, Oberschenkel- und Beinabschnitte (52, 62, 64) enthalten, mit einem Hydrauliksystem, das enthält:
    A. Eine Vielzahl von Hydraulikzylindern (56, 66) mit ausfahrbaren und zurückziehbaren Betätigungsstangen (58, 68), die mit den Kopf-, Bein- und Oberschenkelabschnitten (52, 62, 64) verbunden sind, wodurch eine Bewegung der Betätigungsstangen (58, 68) die Kopf-, Bein- und Oberschenkelabschnitte (10, 62, 64) bewegt;
    B. eine mit den Hydraulikzylindern verbundene Quelle von Hydraulikfluid unter Druck, wobei die Quelle von Hydraulikfluid unter Druck eine duale Leistungsquelle mit einer elektrisch angetriebenen Pumpe (72) und einer von Hand betätigten Fußpumpe (102) ist;
    C. einen Behälter (70) für das Hydraulikfluid, der unter im wesentlichen atmosphärischem Druck steht;
    D. in einer Schaltung zwischen der Quelle von Hydraulikfluid unter Druck, dem Behälter (70) und den Hydraulikzylinder (56, 66) eingeschaltete Steuerventilmittel (94, 96, 118, 128), die selektiv betätigbar sind, um hydraulisches Arbeitsfluid zu und von ausgewählten Hydraulikzylindern zum Ausfahren und Zurückziehen der Betätigungsstangen zu leiten, wobei die Steuerventilmittel enthalten:
    i. Ein zwischen jedem der Hydraulikzylinder und der elektrischen Pumpe (72) verbundenes, normalerweise geschlossenes, elektrisch betätigtes Ausdehnungsventil (94, 96);
    ii. ein zwischen jedem der Hydraulikzylinder (56, 66) und dem Behälter verbundenes, normalerweise geschlossenes, elektrisch betätigtes Zurückziehventil (118, 128);
    iii. ein zwischen den Zylindern und der manuell betätigten Pumpe (102) verbundenes, manuell betätigtes Auswahlventil (76), das derart betätigbar ist, daß es Hydraulikfluid von der manuell betätigten Pumpe (102) zu irgendeinem der Hydraulikzylinder (56, 66) leitet; und
    iv. ein mit dem manuellen Auswahlventil und dem Behälter verbundenes, normalerweise geschlossenes, manuell betätigtes Entleerungsventil, wobei ein Öffnen des Entleerungsventils verursacht, daß der mit dem manuell betätigten Auswahlventil verbundene Zylinder das Hydraulikfluid in ihm zu dem Behälter zurückführt;
    E. Notfall-Umgehungshydraulik-Schaltungsmittel (134, 136) zum Abziehen von Hydraulikfluid aus den Zylindern (56, 66) in den Behälter ohne die Benutzung der Steuerventilmittel (94, 96), um dadurch ein schnelleres Zurückziehen der Betätigungsstangen (58, 68) und infolgedessen ein schnelleres Absenken der Kopf-, Oberschenkel-  und Beinabschnitte (52, 62, 64) zu ermöglichen, als es von den Steuerventilmitteln erlaubt wird.
  2. Bett nach Anspruch 1, bei dem der Kopfabschnitt (52) von zwei Hydraulikzylindern betätigt wird, die als Einheit wirken und von einem einzigen Ausdehnungsventil und einem einzigen Zurückziehventil gesteuert werden.
  3. Bett nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, weiterhin enthaltend:
    A. Einen hydraulischen Anhebzylinder (42) mit einer ausfahrbaren und einziehbaren Betätigungsstange (44), die mit der starren Plattform (32) verbunden ist;
    B. einen Basisrahmen, an dem der hydraulische Anhebzylinder angebracht ist, und
    C. in einer Schaltung zwischen der Quelle von Hydraulikfluid unter Druck, dem Behälter und dem hydraulischen Anhebzylinder (42) verbundene zweite Steuerventilmittel (92, 110), die wahlweise betätigbar sind, um Hydraulikfluid in und von dem Hydraulik-Anhebzylinder (42) zu leiten, um dadurch die starre Plattform (32) anzuheben und abzusenken, wobei die zweiten Steuerventilmittel (92, 110) derart verbunden sind, daß sie es nicht zulassen, daß Hydraulikfluid durch die Notfall-Umgehungshydraulik-Schaltungsmittel fließen, wodurch die starre Plattform in ihrer gewählten Höhe bleibt, wenn die Notfall-Umgehungshydraulik-Schaltungsmittel betätigt werden.
  4. Bett nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Notfall-Umgehungshydraulikschaltung enthält:
    A. ein in einer Schaltung mit allen Hydraulikzylindern und dem Behälter geschaltetes, normalerweise geschlossenes, manuell betätigtes, die Steuerventilmittel umgehendes Notfallventil; und
    B. ein in der Schaltung zwischen jedem der Hydraulikzylinder und dem Notfallventil eingeschaltetes Einweg-Rückschlagventil, das derart positioniert ist, daß es Hydraulikfluid nur von den Hydraulikzylindern weg fließen läßt.
