Description

The subject of the present invention is a roller skate as designed for a game and / or sport article making it possible to roll or slide on all types of ground: tarmac, paving stones, clay, lawn, wet sand, snow, etc. .

Its advantage over traditional roller skates lies in the large diameter of the wheels which make it possible to roll on all terrains.

Said skate can be used as a traditional maid roller skate also in other disciplines such as cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, grassy slopes, flat or uneven terrain.

Said skate is equipped with an anti-recoil rear especially for cross-country skiing.

Another peculiarity of said pad lies in the fact that the sole can receive different types of fastenings.

Another characteristic of the invention resides in the fact that the ground clearance of said pad is adjustable, which makes it possible to adapt the ground clearance of said pad according to the nature of the terrain. The ground clearance can thus be low when the roller skate is used on hard ground, the ground clearance is average when the roller skate is used on a grassy ground, the ground clearance is high when the roller skate is used for rough terrain.

Patent FR-2,396,569 describes pads provided with braking means comprising a lever pivotally mounted on the chassis and having at one end a brake pad capable of coming into contact with the rear wheel of the pad. A leather strap, mounted at the other end of the lever, allows the brake to be actuated by exerting traction on the strap.

These latest patents describe a roller skate which has many drawbacks. In particular, this roller skate is suitable for uniform ground.

The fixation of the foot is of the toe-clip type, the foot is maintained effectively by leaving a flexibility of movement, that is to say that the foot is maintained, while the heel remains free.

This arrangement represents great drawbacks as to the maneuverability of said pad.

The characteristics of these skates imply that the fixed chassis is very wide, much wider than the axle that holds the wheels. This skate, in its technical realization, is therefore very heavy. It is difficult to adapt to different sizes. It is thus mandatory to consider manufacturing, a skate for adults and a skate for children, which increases the manufacturing cost too much. The excessively wide chassis and its two side rails prevent the user from tilting the skate when cornering.

Braking on two wheels is far too complicated and can sometimes be dangerous in certain situations. The rear wheel of said skate is not equipped with an anti-kickback device allowing the use of these skates for cross-country skiing. Ground clearance is not adjustable.

In the patents cited above, the front end and the rear end of the side members is integral with said chassis. There are no removable fork tips to adjust the length of the chassis and / or the sole at will.

In addition, the front ends and the rear ends of said beams are curved upwards almost forming a right angle with said beams. The forks are almost vertical.

Another feature of the invention described above resides in the fact that the chassis which carries the sole is independent of the parts which comprise the forks for maintaining the axis of the wheels. These forks are removable on the chassis, which allows you to cut the chassis carrying the soleplate to the desired length. So with a single production you can use the same products at will for roller skates for children or adults and simply, by cutting the chassis to the desired length.

The roller skate according to the invention has several technical characteristics. The tubular frame can be made of light alloy or composite material and the width of said frame is less than the width of the sole; said chassis is removable so that it can be cut at the user's choice and then fixed by fixing means on the fork-end caps and wheels so as to be able to adapt the size of the roller skate to the size of the practitioner ; preferably, the user must reduce the length of said chassis on the front of the beam. The rear has slots that allow the rear part of the rigid or heel piece to slide to adjust the size of the user.

The front strap is fixed to the beam or chassis by articulated and removable metal hooks.

The foot is fixed at the forefoot and at the heel of very tight to make the machine or the roller skate integral with the foot. There is no flexibility in the heel.

Stability is ensured by the use of high shoes which maintain the ankle while allowing all the evolutions.

The minimum width of the tubular frame or beam allows a large angle of inclination without touching the ground. Said tubular chassis is narrowly designed and can accommodate all the safety bindings of traditional alpine skiing. Said beam or chassis can receive, at its sole, a binding for cross-country ski boots, for alpine ski boots, etc.

According to another embodiment, the roller skate can be equipped with an anti-recoil device at its rear wheel and this, so as to be able to allow the use of the roller skate for cross-country skiing.

The width of the beam or chassis can be approximately 60 millimeters, this dimension being given solely by way of example.

The chassis beam is narrower than the sole that supports it, which, by its length close to traditional skis and by its tubular structure allows the screwing of safety bindings for downhill or cross-country and / or touring skis.

A braking device is integrated. It consists of a flexible strap that can be pulled by the practitioner and allows to actuate a multiplier lever whose pivot axis is fixed on the outside of the tubular frame and which allows to actuate through a bicycle brake cable (which slides inside the tubular chassis) ,. The rubber brake pad has been molded so that the curve of its outer surface exactly matches the inner curve of the light alloy or composite rim on which it will come to bear to cause braking. All these provisions being known, the originality of the invention lies in the fact that the support of this pad is itself a spring steel blade which automatically brings the rubber pad back as soon as the practitioner relaxes the traction on the strap, without the need to add any additional return spring.

Said brake shoe support blade is fixed at the same time as the rear wheel axle, which makes it possible to change the position of the wheel axle to change for example the ground clearance of the tubular chassis, depending on the type of terrain where we are evolving, while maintaining the optimal position of said pad relative to the rim of the wheel. The flexible brake control strap is equipped with a strap-type adjustment system to adapt to the size of the user.

Another clip, suspender type, allows its attachment to the belt or to the user's pocket.

The ends of the front and rear wheel support forks have several positions for the hole in the wheel support axle and the brake support foot, which allow the ground clearance of the wheel skate to be adapted according to the type of soil on which we evolve. Said adjustment is progressive thanks to the angle formed, angle of approximately 30 °, between the plane of forks supporting the wheel axles with the horizontal plane of the tubular beam chassis which connects the front and rear forks.

Several notches made at the forks make it possible to adjust the ground clearance by fixing the axis of the wheels. Stability is ensured by the rigid attachment of the ski to the tubular chassis beam. The entire foot fixing device consists of a plastic front strap in two parts, equipped with an automatic locking loop, allowing immediate tightening of the foot even when rolling in this, thanks to the notched profile of said strap. At the rear, a complete tallonnière set in metal and rigid plastic, on which are fixed two self-locking loops on either side of the foot in which is fixed a notched strap at its two ends and widened on the part s '' pressing the kick to not be hurtful. This device allows rapid locking and tightening without slackening possible.

Only the locking of the front and rear straps requires the use of the hands. The size of the straps and their shape allow the tightening of the high shoes which, by maintaining the ankle, contribute to the stability of use.

According to another embodiment according to the invention, the roller skate has a tubular frame. Said chassis has in its structure 35, grooves which allow the fixing of the fasteners or shoes over the entire length of said chassis and this, by means of captive nuts which can slide and lock in said grooves of the profile of said chassis.

Said chassis can be dismantled so that it can be cut at the user's choice and then fixed by means of attachment to the fork end caps, so that the size of the roller skate can be adapted to the size of the practitioner . According to a preferred embodiment, these grooves, two in number, are arranged on the upper face of the tubular frame at the level of each longitudinal edge.

The upper face of said chassis where the sole of the shoe rests has non-slip ridges over its entire surface. Said striations are longitudinal. The front fixing is carried out by a counter plate which, by nuts, is fixed at the desired height along the two lateral grooves of the chassis. The front strap is mounted by simple screwing, trapped between said non-slip counter-plate on its upper face and the chassis itself.

The rear binding consists of a heel which is fixed at the desired height, along the two lateral grooves of the chassis by two fixing screws housed in the base of the heel.

The vertical wall which substantially forms a half cylinder to hold the heel is provided with holes for the passage of removable rivets which ensure the fixing of two lateral loops, while allowing their orientation to adapt to the profile of the kick of the user. A rear strap provided with a removable protective reinforcement then comes to be fixed in the two loops thus making the captive ankle and the background of the foot secured to the chassis.

Said binding, according to this embodiment, may include a rear riser which ensures comfort and maintenance of the lower part of the calf. Said riser is fixed extending the rear part of the heel piece.

According to another embodiment, the riser is elongated, it extends up to the mid-calf and is mounted articulated on the heel piece at the level of the two removable rivets.

This elongated extension is referred to hereinafter as a universal shank attachment, because it allows the skate to be used with any city or sports shoe. This elongated riser is mounted articulated on the heel piece at the level of the two removable rivets, it can pivot forward and therefore allows the leg to bend forward.

A rear stop on the heel prevents pivoting backwards.

The upper part of this elongated riser is provided with a pass-through strap which allows fixing above the calf and all around the leg. Like the rear strap, this strap is provided with a protective reinforcement loop which prevents the straps from rubbing at the level of the shin and the kick.

The chassis beam is narrower than the sole that supports it, by its length close to traditional skis and by its tubular structure it allows the screwing of safety bindings for downhill or cross-country and / or touring skis.

Another characteristic of the invention resides in the fact that the support of the brake shoe consists of a steel blade which acts as a spring, so as to automatically bring the rubber shoe back, as soon as the practicing loosens the traction on the strap, without the need to add any additional return spring. Said shoe support spring blade is fixed at the same time as the axis of the rear wheel.

The means of adjusting the ground clearance of the skate is constituted by the ends of the front and rear fork wheel supports which have at their end a female toothing which remains fitted on the male toothing of the heel on either side of that -this.

In Figure 1, the roller skate is equipped with two wheels, a front wheel 1, a rear wheel 2. The axes 3 and 4 of the wheels 1 and 2 are mounted on fork tips 5, 6. These fork tips are removable and can be fixed on a chassis beam 7, this chassis beam 7 is very narrow and can in any case be narrower than the sole 8 which allows to receive the binding 9 of the shoe. Said tubular frame or beam 7 can be made of light alloy or of composite material. The width of said frame 7 can be less than the width of the sole. Said chassis 7 is removable and can be disconnected from the fork ends 5, 6 and this, by means of fixing bolts 10. When the fork ends 5, 6 are removed from the chassis beam 7, it is possible to cut, to desired size, said chassis beam 7 according to if the user is an adult or a child.

De préférence, l'utilisateur ou plus généralement le fabricant, réduira la longueur dudit châssis sur la roue avant de la poutre 7.Preferably, the user or more generally the manufacturer, will reduce the length of said chassis on the front wheel of the beam 7.

The rear part of the skate has slots which allow the rear part of the rigid or heel piece to slide to adjust the size.

The front strap 11 of the fastener 9 is fixed to the chassis beam 7 by hooks 12. These hooks 12 are articulated and removable. The foot is fixed at the front part and at the heel very tightly in order to make the roller skate integral with said foot.

The minimum width of the tubular frame 7 allows a large angle of inclination, without touching the ground. As can be seen in the top view, shown in Figure 2, the sole 8 can receive a binding adapted to the shoe corresponding to the nature of the fraud used. The shoe or its binding can extend beyond the beam, if necessary. The beam or chassis 7 can receive at its sole 8, a binding for cross-country ski boot, alpine ski boot, etc.

In the case of alpine skiing, ski touring or cross-country skiing, the rear wheel 2 can be equipped with an anti-reverse device.

The anti-recoil device is shown in a schematic view, represented in FIG. 3. This anti-recoil device, at the level of the rear wheel 3 is of the known type. The braking device which is integrated into said pad is disposed only at the rear wheel 2. It consists of a flexible strap, not shown, which can be pulled by the user and which makes it possible to actuate a multiplier lever 13. The pivot axis 14 of said multiplier lever 13 is fixed on the outer part of the tubular frame 7. It makes it possible to actuate, by means of a bicycle kidney cable 15, which slides inside the tubular frame, the brake shoe 16. The brake shoe 16 has been molded so that the curve of its outer surface exactly matches the inner curve of the rim 17 on which it will come wear to cause braking. The support 18 of this brake shoe is itself a spring steel blade which automatically brings the rubber shoe 16 back as soon as the practitioner releases the traction on the strap and this, without the need to add no additional return spring. The support blade 18 of a shoe 16 is fixed at the same time as the axis 3 of the rear wheel 2, which makes it possible to change the position of the axis 3 of the wheel 2 to change for example the ground clearance of the frame or tubular beam 7 and this, depending on the type of terrain where the user will evolve and this, while maintaining the optimal position of said pad 16 relative to the rim 17 of the wheel 2.

So as to be able to adjust the ground clearance, the forks 5 and 6 having fixing notches 19, 20 along their length.

It should also be noted that the forks form an angle of approximately 30 ° between the plane of forks supporting the axes 3, 4 of the wheels 1 and 2 with the horizontal plane of the beam chassis 7 which connects said forks 5, 6 before and back.

The roller skate according to the invention is composed of two wheels, a rear wheel 31 and a front wheel 32. These two wheels are integral by their axis with a chassis 33 receiving a sole which allows, by means of attachment to the user, to fix his shoes. Said shoe comprising at least on its rear part a brake actuated by a cable and a lever. Said lever can be actuated by a strap. All these elements are known in particular from the patent which was the subject of a main patent application.

The tubular frame 33 can be made of light alloy or composite material. The width of said frame 33 is less than the sole intended to receive the binding for the shoe. Said tubular frame 33 is removable. The wheels being fixed by their axis on removable fork ends 34, 35.

Said fork ends are fixed to the chassis beam by fixing means, adjustment means make it possible to adjust the ground clearance. All of these are known.

One of the characteristics of the invention resides in the tubular chassis 33. Said tubular chassis 33 is removable so that it can be cut at the option of the user and then fixed by fixing means on the fork ends 34, 35 wheel supports 31, 32 and this, so as to be able to adapt the size of the roller skate to the size of the practitioner. The user can reduce the length of said chassis 33 indifferently by cutting a part on the front or on the rear because the tubular chassis 33 has in its structure grooves 36, 37 which allow the fixing of bindings or shoes over the entire length of said frame 33 and this, by means of "captive" nuts which can slide and lock in said grooves 36, 37 of the profile of the tubular frame 33. These grooves 36, 37 two in number, are arranged on the upper face of the tubular frame 33 at each longitudinal edge.

The upper face 38 of said tubular frame 33 where the sole of the shoe rests, has over its entire surface non-slip ridges 62. Said ridges 62 are longitudinal.

The front fixing is carried out by a counter plate 39 which, by nuts 40, 41, is fixed at the desired height along the two lateral grooves 36, 37 of the frame 33. The front strap 42 is mounted by simple screwing. It is trapped between said counter-plate 39 on its upper face and the chassis itself.

This blocking prevents lateral slipping of the strap.

The foot is fixed at the front and at the heel, very tightly in order to make the roller skate integral with the foot. There is no flexibility in the heel. Stability is ensured by the use of shoes. The user is offered an optional screwing kit allowing the shoe to be screwed directly to the chassis with two counter plates and four screws. Stability is ensured by the use of sports or hiking boots that maintain the ankle while allowing all changes. This using:
- or the shoe screwing kit on the chassis 33.
- Either the standard type binding supplied with the roller skate, ie the front strap 42 as defined above and the rear binding 43 which consists of a heel piece 44 which is fixed at the desired height. along two lateral grooves 36, 37 of the chassis 33 by two fixing screws housed in the base of the heel piece 44. The two fixing screws are screws 45 and 46. The vertical wall 47 which substantially forms a half-cylinder to maintain the heel is provided with holes for the passage of removable rivets 48 and 49. These removable rivets 48 and 49 ensure the attachment of two lateral loops while allowing their orientation to adapt to the profile of the user's kick. A rear strap 50 provided with a removable protective reinforcement 51 is then fixed in the two loops thus making the captive ankle and the background of the foot secured to the chassis 33. This fixing may include a rear riser shown in the figures which provide comfort and support for the lower part of the calf. This raiser is fixed extending the rear part of the heel. Of course, there can be at least two sizes of riser which are offered either for an adult or for a child.

According to the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the extension is an elongated extension. This elongated riser 52 extends to the mid-calf and is hinged mounted on the heel piece 44 at the level of the two removable rivets 48, 49. This elongated riser 52 is hereinafter referred to as "universal rod attachment" because it allows the use of roller skates with any city or sports shoe, even if these shoes provide no support at the ankle. This fixing with its articulated extension thanks to its design even allows the use of said pad with low shoes or even bare feet.

This elongated riser 52 is articulated on the heel piece 44 at two removable rivets. The two loops of the rear strap 50 remain identical.

This elongated riser 52 can pivot forward and therefore allows the leg to be flexed on the front. A rear stop on the heel piece 44 prevents pivoting backwards.

The upper part of this elongated riser 52 is provided with pass-through straps 53 which allows the attachment above the calf and all around the leg. This strap is provided, like the rear strap, with a protective reinforcement loop 54. The protective reinforcement loop 54 prevents the straps from rubbing at the level of the tibia and the foot cup.

This elongated riser 52 is more flexible at the level of the calf and provided in its internal part with protective reinforcements as there are in ski boots and this, so as to isolate the leg from the rigid plastic shell and thus avoid any injuries. increasing user comfort.

A braking device is integrated. It consists of a semi-rigid strap that can be pulled by the practitioner and allows to actuate a multiplier lever 55 whose pivot axis 56 is fixed on the outside of the tubular frame 33 and which allows access by via a bicycle brake cable 57 (which slides inside the tubular frame 33). The rubber brake shoe 58 has been molded so that the curve of its outer surface corresponds exactly to the inner curve of the rim 59 of light alloy or composite on which it will come to bear to cause braking.

All of these provisions are known. The characteristic of the present invention resides in the fact that the support 60 of said pad 58 is itself a spring steel blade 60 which automatically brings the rubber pad 58 back as soon as the practitioner releases the traction on the strap and this , without the need to add any additional return spring.

Said support blade 60 of the brake shoe 58 is fixed at the same time as the axis of the rear wheel 61 which makes it possible to change the position of the wheel axis 61 to change for example the ground clearance of the following tubular frame 33 the type of terrain where we are evolving, while maintaining the optimal position of said pad 58 relative to the rim 59 of the wheel.

The semi-rigid brake control strap is equipped with a strap-type adjustment system to adapt to the size of the user. Another clip, of the strap type, allows its attachment to the belt or to the user's pocket. These means are not shown in the drawings.

The fork ends 34 and 35 front and rear, wheel supports 31 and 32 have at their end a female toothing which comes to fit on the male toothing of the heel on either side thereof.

By unscrewing, the forks 34, 35 are slightly spread apart, its ground clearance is chosen, and by screwing back in fully, the male teeth are blocked in the female teeth. Stabilization is thus obtained after rapid adjustment, said adjustment being progressive since degree by degree without disassembly of the wheel, which was not the case in the various pads known to date.

The entire foot fixing device consists of a strap plastic front in one part equipped with an automatic locking loop allowing immediate tightening of the foot even when rolling, thanks to the notched profile of said strap. At the rear, a complete set of heel pieces made of metal and / or rigid plastic on which are fixed two self-locking buckles on either side of the foot in which are fixed a notched strap at its two ends and widened on the part leaning on the kick so as not to be hurtful.

This fastening device allows quick locking and tightening of the front and rear straps requires the use of hands. The size of the straps and their shape allow the tightening of the high shoes which by maintaining the ankle, contributes to the stability of use.
