Description

The invention relates to a reflector lamp according to the preamble of claim 1.

Light-emitting diodes with a wide radiation angle are known which emit the light emitted by them over a wide area via associated reflectors. Such light-emitting diodes can be arranged in a large number in one area in order to form a correspondingly large illuminated field.

The light-emitting diodes are usually arranged in the center of a reflector housing, the light being emitted across the width of the reflector. Such reflectors can be made of metal, but there are also plastic reflectors in round and square designs.

If you want to use a large number of light-emitting diodes to achieve a larger luminous area, these must be arranged in a reflector housing, it being necessary to produce special housings if symbols, fonts or numbers, in particular with larger dimensions, which differ accordingly, wants to backlight. In order to achieve the most uniform possible illumination, the reflective surface of the reflector is covered with a diffuser disc.

A row of several reflectors means that one does not reach an overall luminous area, but only a larger area which is composed of individual, separate luminous areas.

The object of the invention is to provide a reflector lamp according to the preamble of claim 1, the size of which can be easily adapted to the required dimensions without an interrupted illuminated area.

This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing part of claim 1.

In these reflector luminaires, which can be formed over a large area and consist of a large number of light-emitting diodes arranged in corresponding housings, the housings forming the reflective surface on the front side being the ge Housing designed so that the reflective surfaces are kept so low that the light that emerges laterally from the light emitting diodes is only partially reflected by the respective reflective surfaces, while another part of this laterally emerging light spreads into the room above the adjacent reflective surfaces and partially strikes the reflective surfaces of the surrounding frame, from where it is then also radiated essentially perpendicular to the main plane of the radiating surface. This leads to homogeneous illumination, especially if a diffuser disc is still used, which can be inserted into the frame.

Square reflection surfaces are used, the surface of which is fully illuminated by the respective light-emitting diode.

Further embodiments of the invention can be found in the following description and the subclaims.

  • Fig. 1 zeigt eine Reflektor-Leuchte im Schnitt.
  • Fig. 2 zeigt perspektivisch eine Reflektor-Leuchte teilweise zusammengesetzt.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the attached figures.
  • Fig. 1 shows a reflector lamp in section.
  • Fig. 2 shows in perspective a reflector lamp partially assembled.
  • 3 shows sections of a further embodiment for a housing for light-emitting diodes.

The reflector lamp has cube-shaped housing 1 made of plastic, which have reflecting surfaces 2 on the front. The reflection surfaces 2 are formed in the illustrated embodiment by a pyramid-shaped recess on the front of the housing 1, so that four identical, essentially triangular surfaces are formed, which are mirrored, for example, by metallization. In the center of the reflection surface 2 there is a receiving opening 3 for a light-emitting diode 4, which extends in steps to the bottom of the housing 1, so that a light-emitting diode 4 can be used in such a way that its base part sits in the receiving opening 3, its light-emitting part accordingly the receptacle opening on the front and its connecting contacts 5 protrude from the rear of the housing 1.

The housings 1 have pins 6 on two side faces and pin receptacles 7 on the two other side faces, in each case on adjacent side faces. As a result, the housing 1 can be assembled into single-row or multi-row blocks, the dimensions of such a block being readily adaptable to the particular intended use.

The reflection surfaces 2 can also be designed as small concave mirrors be. The light-emitting diodes 4 can also be inserted from below into an appropriately designed receiving opening 3 in the housing 1, as shown in FIG. 3.

The block formed from a plurality of housings 1 is surrounded by a frame 8 which consists of four miter-cut frame strips 9 which protrude from the radiating surface and form a circumferential raised reflection surface 10. The frame 8 is also made of plastic, has according to the pin 6 of the housing 1 pin recesses 7a or corresponding to the pin recesses 7 of the housing 1 pin 6a, via which it is connected to the block formed from the housing 1, that is, that each two adjacent Frame strips 9 are provided with pins 6a and the other two with pin receptacles 7a in a grid corresponding to the pins 6 and pin receptacles 7 of the housing 1. The pins 6, 6a and pin receptacles 7, 7a preferably have non-circular cross sections in order to create a connection that is secure against rotation.

The frame strips 9 are provided adjacent to the reflection surface 10 with a circumferential groove 11 for receiving a diffuser plate 12.

The reflecting surfaces 2 extend at a relatively flat angle, e.g. at about 45 ° with respect to the base of the housing 1 from the receiving opening 3 to the outside, while the reflection surface 10 of the frame strips 9 at a much steeper angle, e.g. about 60 ° to the base surface of the housing 1, the reflection surface 10 of the respective frame strip continuing the reflection surfaces 2 of the adjacent housing 1.

Light emitted laterally by the light-emitting diodes 4 partially strikes the reflection surfaces 2 of the associated housing 1, while a further part radiates into the space above the neighboring housings or falls on the reflection surfaces 10 and radiates from there essentially perpendicular to the base surface of the housing 1 becomes. The latter also leads to bundled light radiation in the edge region, so that the diffuser plate 12 is illuminated homogeneously.

The reflector lamp is produced by first forming rows from the housings and forming a corresponding block by joining these rows, after which three correspondingly long frame strips 9 are inserted laterally onto the block, after which the diffuser plate 12 is inserted into the groove 11 and then the fourth frame bar 9 is plugged on. The connection contacts 5 of the light-emitting diodes 4 inserted into the receiving openings 3 are arranged in a grid in such a way that they are easy to put on the reflector lamp is made possible on a correspondingly prepared circuit board 13. The housings 1 are expediently provided on the bottom with spacers 14, so that a degassing zone is formed between the reflector lamp and the printed circuit board 13.

Such a reflector lamp is particularly suitable for front panel installation, for which purpose a circumferential recess 15 can be provided on the frame 8, which receives the edge of a corresponding recess in a front plate 16, so that the reflector lamp is flush with the front plate 16 by fitting can be mounted from the outside or by inserting the reflector light from behind.

The individual elements form a modular system of uniform components for any shapes and sizes of rectangular reflector lights.
