Definitions

  • the present invention relates to backflow preventers, or backflow preventers, for supplying water to a reservoir from a pressure network comprising a first supply conduit suitable for being connected on one side to the network and opening out from the other side in an upper chamber, said chamber communicating, at its lower part, by an axial injector orifice with the upper part of a cavity provided with a vent located downstream of the injector orifice, said cavity being finally connected by gravity to the bowl by a second discharge conduit.
  • an atmospheric pressure disconnection device for a water distribution apparatus comprising a body having a water flow channel and means for making the column discontinuous. of water in the flow channel when a return suction effect appears from the outlet opening of the device towards the supply member; these means comprise, in combination, on the one hand, the channel forming a venturi tube of which a widest cross-sectional area is located upstream towards the supply member and a narrowed cross-sectional area is located downstream towards the outlet opening and, on the other hand, at least one secondary channel pierced in the wall of the body opening on one side on an air intake to the atmosphere and on the other side on the channel in the section area narrowed.
  • This known device has the same drawbacks as the previous known device with regard to spraying water outwards via the vents, with the risks attached to it, and also with regard to its difficult disassembly to proceed. cleaning the narrowed section after it is plugged.
  • the grinder toilet 1 comprises a device 2 enabling the bowl 3 of the toilet to be rinsed, the suction, grinding and expulsion of the effluents being carried out by means located in the lower part of the W. -C. 1.
  • the water supply 4 coming from the pressure network (a few bars) is done via a metering tap 5.
  • This metering tap alone replaces a conventional tank and its mechanism .
  • the bowl 3 includes an anti-odor valve 6 with automatic return, suitable for opening to let water and faeces flow into the lower tank 7 for receiving the effluents. The valve closes automatically. As the tank 7 is filled, the float 8 lifts. When the electrical contact 9 is obtained, the multifunction pump 10 starts. Simultaneously, it grinds, sucks and sends the effluents 11 into a pipeline 12.
  • the pipeline 12 is connected to the wastewater collection pipes (not shown).
  • the metering tap 5 is connected to the bowl 3 via the backflow preventer 13.
  • the backflow preventer 13 comprises a first supply duct 14 which is therefore connected on one side to the network via the metering tap 5 and which opens on the other side into a chamber 15 formed in the cover 16.
  • the cover 16 can be fixed in a removable manner by fixing means 17, constituted for example by nuts and bolts, on the cavity 18.
  • This cavity is of revolution about an axis 19 and has a high part 20.
  • the upper part 20 is pierced with an injector orifice 21 of smaller diameter than the diameter of the duct 14.
  • the cavity 18 comprises a vent 22 constituted by a chute open on the cavity at a first distance d from the outlet 23 of the orifice 21.
  • the determined length is advantageously re the dimension of the radius of the equivalent section of the chute.
  • the upper part 20 of the cavity 18 comprises a tubular skirt 27 coaxial with the injector orifice 21 so that the water leaving said orifice, when the backflow preventer is supplied by the network, is channeled.
  • the skirt 27 extends over a distance d 'from the outlet 23 from the orifice 21 at least equal to the first distance d defined for the chute. This distance is for example of the order of 1.5 cm.
  • the skirt 27 can advantageously include holes 28 of small diameter which promote the formation of an air-water emulsion in the cavity.
  • the upper part 20 of the cavity comprises a removable part 30 in which the injector orifice 21 is pierced.
  • the part is fixedly held between the cover 16 and the cavity 18 by the fixing means 17.
  • a seal 31 ensures the tightness of the attachment of the removable cover.
  • the orifice 21 is in the form of a slightly conical nozzle with a diameter narrowing downwards and penetrating by 1 or 2 mm into the tubular skirt so as to allow an acceleration of the liquid under pressure arriving through the pipe 14.
  • the jet which as a result promotes the entrainment of air into the cavity via the chute during the passage of water to the toilet bowl 3.
  • the cavity 18 is profiled at the bottom in a frustoconical manner to promote flows.
  • the backflow preventer 13 also comprises a conduit 32 for evacuating water to the bowl, connected by gravity to the cavity 18.
  • This conduit can be part of the same part as the cavity 13 (as shown in FIG. 3), or be formed by a removable rubber tube for example (as shown in Figure 2).
  • the conduit 32 is connected to the toilet bowl 3 by connection means 33 known per se.
  • the backflow preventer 13 can be formed in one piece including the supply duct 14, the cavity 18 and the discharge duct 32, only the cover 16 being separable from the rest of the backflow preventer (see FIG. 3) or be formed by separable parts one from the other, as are the cover 16, the seal 31, the part 30, the cavity 18 and the discharge duct 32 of the backflow preventer of the type shown in FIG. 2.
  • Fastening means 34 of the backflow preventer on the structure of the grinder 1 can be provided.
  • the constituent parts of the backflow preventer are advantageously made of thermoplastic material. The various methods of using thermoplastics, in particular injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, rotational molding or melt casting, can be used and allow the necessary parts to be easily manufactured with the shapes you want.
  • the user who wants to clean a toilet bowl activates the toilet emptying mechanism by pressing the push button 35.
  • the cold water supply 4 is then carried out with a regulated pressure, for example 3.5 bars by the metering tap 5 which sends under pressure the equivalent of a few liters of water to the backflow preventer 13.
  • the water penetrates through the conduit 14 in the chamber 15 and is injected through the injector orifice 21 into the cavity 18 by entraining air via the chute 22, which produces an air-liquid emulsion.
  • the emulsion flows with a certain pressure (lower than the initial pressure penetrating into the backflow preventer but nevertheless sufficient to allow an effective rinsing) in the conduit 32 then enters under pressure into the bowl, the walls of which are then rinsed vigorously with a circular motion.
  • the backflow preventer allowing air to enter the high point it constitutes, thus avoids the formation of a siphon and any contamination of the network in return.
  • the reliability and ease of unclogging the backflow preventer of the invention thus guarantee flawless and safe use, having regard to hygiene, of the toilet.
