Abstract

A driving gear for a roller shutter (12), a Venetian blind or the like is illustrated and described, with a winding shaft for the roller shutter armour (12a) and with a gear which sets the shaft in rotation and which has, arranged on the front side of and connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the winding shaft, a gear wheel (26), with which a drive pinion (28), which is arranged on a drive shaft arrangement (33), meshes, the winding shaft, the gear wheel (26) and the drive pinion (28) moreover being arranged in a roller shutter casing (14) mounted in particular on the masonry, and the drive shaft (29; 39), which in projection runs at an angle on the transverse plane of the winding shaft, reaching outwards through the wall of the roller shutter casing (14) in a wall bearing (21). In order to achieve a compact gear construction as well as as extensive as possible a wing opening, the wall bearing (21) is arranged on a lateral end wall (18) of the roller shutter casing (14), the drive shaft arrangement (33) being designed as an angular gear having three shaft sections (20, 34, 29; 39, 40, 41), the inner shaft section of which forms the drive shaft (29; 39) bearing the drive pinion (28), the central shaft section (34) of which is supported in the wall bearing (21) and the outer shaft section (20) of which is designed for connection of a rotary handle such as a crank handle (22) or the like. As a result, with very compact construction of the whole gear arrangement, it is brought about that the drive parts are freely accessible from the side and do not stand in the way of more extensive wing opening. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a drive for a roller shutter, a blind or the like., With a winding shaft for the roller shutter curtain and with a gear that sets this in rotation, which has a front end of the winding shaft and non-rotatably connected with this gearwheel, with which a Drive shaft arrangement arranged drive pinion combs, furthermore the winding shaft, the gear wheel and the drive pinion are arranged in a roller shutter box, in particular placed on the masonry, and the drive shaft which runs obliquely in the projection onto the transverse plane of the winding shaft extends through the wall of the roller shutter box to the outside in a wall bearing .

Such a drive is known from obvious prior use, which cannot be documented in printed form. The gearwheel and drive pinion are mounted in a gullet housing on the inside of the roller shutter box end wall, on which a guide for the drive shaft is also provided. The drive shaft lies on the inside of the gear wheel fixed to the roller shutter shaft. In the projection onto the string side of the winding shaft, the drive shaft runs obliquely downwards and leads in a wall bearing out of the lower wall of the roller shutter box directly in front of the side rail of the frame. Due to the design, the drive shaft or the drive shaft mandrel is parallel to the front wall of the roller shutter Provided level. The drive shaft or its end, which is accessible from the outside for a manual or motorized drive, or its end is arranged on the room side near the corner area of the roller shutter box and in front of the corner area of the window or door frame. The advantage of this arrangement is that the operation of the shutter drive is easy thanks to the easy accessibility of the drive shaft. On the one hand, it is disadvantageous that the drive parts protruding from the roller shutter box remain disruptively visible. Above all, however, the arrangement prevents an opening of the window or door leaf that extends beyond a right angle, which would be possible on site if - as is customary in southern countries - the lintel does not protrude, or does not substantially protrude beyond the inner plane of the window frame.

This is where the invention comes in. It is based essentially on the task of making a drive available of the type outlined in the preamble of claim 1 which, while maintaining simple operation of the drive, permits a wider wing opening, in particular one of approximately 180 °. The means to be used to solve this long-standing problem should be simple and inexpensive in nature.

The invention solves this problem primarily and essentially in that the wall bearing is arranged on a lateral end wall of the roller shutter box, that the drive shaft arrangement is designed as an angular gear having three shaft sections, the inner one Shaft section which forms the drive shaft carrying the drive pinion, the central shaft section of which is supported in the wall bearing and the outer shaft section of which is designed to connect a rotary handle such as a hand crank or the like.

In this way, with a very compact design of the entire gear arrangement, the drive is freely accessible from the side. Drive parts are therefore no longer in the way of further wing opening. The drive shaft can run with a significant advantage in the projection onto the level of the lowered roller shutter curtain, because since the drive shaft is not only shifted to the side, but points there due to its second inclined position towards the front of the roller shutter box, the drive remains free and effortless accessible. A drive designed according to the invention also allows the hand crank to be permanently connected to the drive shaft end, especially since all the parts in their new arrangement can be hidden behind curtains. In a further embodiment, the drive shaft assembly can be designed as a double cardan shaft, the central cardan shaft section of which is mounted in the wall bearing.

An alternative provides that the drive shaft arrangement is designed as a three-part bevel gear angular gear, the drive shaft of which runs essentially perpendicular in the projection onto the level of the lowered roller shutter curtain.

For both variants, it is advantageous if the intermediate shaft extends through the end wall of the roller shutter box and is encapsulated outside by means of a scraper.

To further promote the space-saving design, according to a further feature of the invention, the side wall of the roller shutter box for receiving or forming gearbox bearing parts can be profiled in a chamber-like manner, oblique chambers being formed, some of which run inside, some outside of the main wall plane. Accordingly, the gear parts can be accommodated in the narrow area in front of and behind the main wall level in an axially tight space.

  • Fig. 2 eine Seitenansicht in Richtung der Ansichtspfeiles II der Fig.1,
  • Fig. 6 eine Stirnsansicht in Richtung des Ansichtspfeiles VI der Fig. 5.
For the rest, the invention is best understood based on the following description of two exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings. The drawings use the example of a window to show:
  • 1 shows a corner section of a window with a roller shutter box above it as an overview,
  • 2 is a side view in the direction of the arrow II of FIG. 1,
  • 3 shows a longitudinal section through the drive parallel to the window plane, two arrangements of a first embodiment being shown together,
  • 4 shows a schematic end view in the direction of the viewing apple IV of FIG. 3,
  • Fig. 5 is a Fig. 3 corresponding representation of a drive alternative, and
  • 6 is an end view in the direction of the arrow VI of FIG. 5.

In Fig. 1, 10 denotes a wing of a window with a pane 11. 12a quantifies the roller shutter curtain of a roller shutter 12 located in front of the wing 10 in a partially lowered state, which is wound onto a winding shaft (not shown) within a roller shutter box 14 attached in the space above the window opening 13.

The wing 10 is attached to the frame 16 by means of conventional hinge fittings 15. So that the wing 10 can be opened by more than 90 °, preferably by 180 °, the drive parts 17 emerging from the roller shutter box 14 are located on or in front of the lateral end face 18 of the roller shutter box 14 which faces the wall recess 13 and which is more or less far opposite the wall level 19 protrudes. 1 and 2 schematically show a drive shaft end 20, which is intercepted in a wall bearing 21, and a crank handle 22 to be coupled to the shaft end 20 or fixedly connected to it.

Depending on the depth of the lintel 23, the wall bearing 21 is more or less far from the front wall 24 of the roller shutter box 14 arranged in the room. In Fig. 2 the drawing part with solid lines illustrates an arrangement with a less deep, with dash-dotted lines with a deeper fall of the wall. How the invention takes these different requirements into account will be explained with reference to the other figures, which show corresponding schematic end views.

The geometric axis of rotation of the roller shutter winding shaft is denoted by 25, to which the gear wheel 26, designed as a bevel gear with outwardly facing toothing 27, is arranged concentrically. In order to now establish the non-positive connection from the control gear 28 via the drive shaft 29 to the connecting shaft end 20, the drive shaft 29 in the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 is 'double inclined'.

Because, as can be seen from FIG. 3, the axis of rotation 30 of the drive shaft 29 is inclined in a plane parallel to the lowered roller shutter 12 or to the closed wing 10. This is achieved in addition to the choice of suitable cone angles of the bevel gears meshing with each other at 31, in particular through unconventionally crooked gear housing parts 32, which are otherwise incorporated into the side wall 18 of the roller shutter box in such a way that they are partly inside, partly outside the wall plane E and thus particularly are nested to save space.

The drive shaft arrangement 33 of the exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4 comprises the three shaft sections 29, 34 and 20, which are each pivotally coupled to one another by means of a cardan joint 35 and 36. The intermediate piece 34 of the drive shaft arrangement 33 is mounted by means of a ball 37 in the wall bearing 21, which has an adapted ball socket 38, so that it can move in space to compensate for tolerances.

Fig. 4 veranschaulicht dies mit zwei Alternativen qualitativ anhand der unterschiedlichen Winkel W1 und W2.Depending on how far the roller shutter box 14 protrudes from the respective wall surface 19 (FIG. 2), the drive shaft 29 is also crooked, possibly considerably, in the transverse plane. 4 illustrates this qualitatively with two alternatives based on the different angles W1 and W2.

The section A-C shown in FIG. 3 illustrates the greater length of the drive shaft 29 required here compared to A-B. In order to meet the requirements universally and in the simplest way, it can be designed as a telescopic shaft.

A scoop 44 into which the wall bearing 21 is incorporated or in which it is provided provides a tight and visually appealing closure to the outside.

The exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 5 and 6 uses a three-part bevel gear angular gear with drive shaft 39, intermediate shaft instead of a three-part universal joint shaft arrangement 40 and end shaft 41, of which the intermediate shaft runs in the wall bearing 21. The "misalignment" affects above all the drive shaft 39, whose different inclination (angle W1, W2) is shown schematically in FIG. 6.

The shaft end piece 41 is mounted in a small bearing block 42 behind the scoop 44 outside the roller shutter box end wall 18. Compared to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, there is also the advantage that the drive shaft 39 can be kept very short.

For the sake of completeness, it should also be mentioned that the roller shutter winding shaft, not shown, is rotatably coupled to the connector numbered 43, which can be driven by the gearwheel 26.
