Description

The invention relates to a circular socket made from a stamped sheet metal part, which cooperates as an electrical contact element in combination with a plug pin, has a contact and a crimp area and can be equipped with an external spring on the contact area.

The contact area of such circular receptacles should be able to expand radially elastically when a plug pin is inserted into the circular receptacle. The spring force acting on the plug pin should be defined so that defined contact forces can also act between the plug pin and the contact sleeve, which ensure reliable, long-term electrical contact. If the material of the circular receptacle is not suitable for this, over-springs made of sheet metal stampings are used, which sit on the contact area and increase the spring force of the circular receptacle. For technical reasons, the springs do not extend to the mouth of the circular socket.

Eine derartige Rundsteckhülse ist aus WO-A-85/04 766 bekannt.Such a round plug-in sleeve is known from WO-A-85/04 766.

When inserting the connector pin, it can happen that the connector pin is not axially aligned with the circular connector, so that bending moments act in particular on the mouth region of the circular connector, which can cause radial bending, so that the required contact force can be impaired or even lost.

The object of the invention is to provide a circular plug-in sleeve, in particular with an over-spring, in which radial over-bending of the mouth region is prevented.

The circular plug-in sleeve 1 has the crimp area 2 for attaching an electrical conductor (not shown), a transition area 3 and a contact area 4 with an opening 10. Since the invention is not implemented in areas 2 and 3, they can correspond to conventional training and are therefore not explained.

The contact area 4 is of a hollow cylindrical shape and has a mouth bead 6 pressed outward like a bead and at the axial distance from it a rear bead 5 pressed outward like a bead. Between the beads 5 and 6 there are axially extending spring arms 7 as connecting elements at a radial distance 7a. On the spring arms 7 there is a cylindrical spring 8 made of a stamped sheet metal.

It is essential that the mouth area 6 is provided with an expansion lock for the circular plug-in sleeve. This expansion lock consists of a circumferentially extending first hook web 9, which is located directly at the opening 10. The second hook web 11 is axially aligned behind it. The shape of the hook webs 9 and 11 results from FIGS. 2 and 4. They consist of the diametrically connected, approximately equally wide and equally long tabs 12, 13, on which at right angles also diametrically to one another the inwards, i.e. barbs 14, 15 are arranged to the inside of the sleeve in the bending lines 18, the front edges 16, 17 of which are positioned opposite one another so that they cross when they meet.

The spatial shape of the hook webs 9 and 11 is such that the radial end region of the hook webs 9 and 11 each form a butt edge 19, 21 such that the axially extending butt edge 19 of the hook web 9 against an axially extending butt edge 20 on the muzzle bead 6 and the axially extending one Butt edge 21 of the hook web 11 butt against an axially extending butt edge 22 on the mouth bead 6, so that the mouth area of the circular plug-in sleeve 1 is supported against external pressure (FIG. 5).

The front edges 16 and 17 of the barbs 14, 15 are spaced apart with a gap 23. The mouth region 6 or the circular plug-in sleeve 1 can be widened by the width of this gap 23 until the barbs 14, 15 abut against one another. The barbs then act as an expansion lock. Characterized in that the mouth region 6 is formed as a bead, the diameter of the interior 24 of the contact region 4 of the circular plug-in sleeve 1 is an enlarged diameter of the interior 25, the edges 26 of the opening 10 being flanged inwards. In the interior 25, the barbs 14, 15 are bent such that they do not protrude further into the interior 25, as is the expansion of the diameter, so that they do not extend into the interior 24. This prevents the barbs 14, 15 from hitting the plug pin (not shown) when the plug connection is made.
