Abstract

In the goalkeeper's glove, having a part (10) for the back of the hand with incisions in the manner of a comb and a part (20) for the palm of the hand, which part (20) is connected to the part (10) for the back of the hand via lateral shafts (14, 15) and finger shafts (18), the part (20) for the palm of the hand forms a closed outer surface extending to the tips (30) of the fingers. The finger shafts (18) are sewn together at their edge facing the part for the palm of the hand and sewn to said part (20) at the seams (32) so that mutually separate finger pockets (34) are formed. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a goalkeeper glove with a comb-like incision in the area of the fingers 2 to 5 (index finger, middle finger, ring finger, small finger) and preferably provided with a trim made of elastic latex material, a thumb cut preferably connected to the upper hand via a side layer and one possibly over Layered with the formation of finger pockets with the back of the hand and the palm of the hand connected to the thumb cut, made of soft material with good grip on the outside.

Goalkeeper gloves of this type are known which are designed as finger gloves, the palm of which has finger-length incisions and thus form completely separate finger pockets. Accordingly, the attack surface of the palm is interrupted in the intermediate region between the fingers when fingers are spread apart, so that there is no ball contact and the liability is reduced accordingly. This is all the more so since when the individual fingers are sewn, the edges of the palm get a bulge that points towards the upper hand and is reinforced by the inserted fingers, which further reduces the contact area with the ball. In addition, when the ball comes into contact with the upper fingertips, the fingers can deflect individually, which leads to a deterioration in the catching ability. Since the goalkeeper also has the option of using the glove In the event of a surprise, if the finger is bent off, he is not able to use the entire palm of his hand as a catching surface. The risk of injury is also quite high with gloves because the fingers can easily be bent individually when they encounter firm resistance, for example when they come into contact with the opponent or when they are supported on the floor, thereby being compressed, dislocated or even broken.

In the case of a baseball glove with deep finger pockets arranged on the inside and an outer shell surrounding the finger pockets, it is known per se (US 1655015) to provide the outer shell with shortened finger incisions on the inside and back of the hand and thus with an enlarged palm and palm .

The invention has for its object to provide a goalkeeper glove for large balls, such as footballs or handballs, which has a large effective catch area in the palm and in which the individual fingers are secured against accidental turning or deflection under local loads.

To achieve this object, the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1 are proposed. Further advantageous refinements and developments of the invention result from the subclaims.

The enlargement of the attack and catching area of the goalkeeper glove is achieved according to the invention in that the palm forms an at least partially uninterrupted area in the area between the fingers 2 to 5.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the palm forms an uninterrupted surface up to the fingertips, so that the fingers can only be bent in their entirety and no longer individually. The uninterrupted palm can be in the area of the individual fingertips cut in an arc.

According to a further preferred development of the invention, the layers adjacent to one another in the region of the fingers 2 to 5 are connected to one another at their edge facing the palm, for example sewn together. With the appropriate cut, they can also be connected in one piece at this point. In the area of their interconnected edges, the layers are sewn onto the palm so that they form the side walls of the finger pockets. In order to ensure sufficient freedom of fingers within the pockets of the fingers, the pocket walls formed by the layers arranged between the fingers 2 to 5 are longer on the seam on the upper side of the hand than on the seam on the inside of the palm. For the same reason, the palm on the one hand and the upper hand in connection with the layers should on the other hand have a width that allows the fingers 2 to 5 to be spread completely.

The goalkeeper glove essentially consists of an upper hand 10 provided with finger-length incisions 12, a thumb cut connected to the upper hand 10 by a side layer 14 and an inner hand 20 connected to the upper hand 10 via side layer 14, 15 and finger layer 18 as well as directly connected to the thumb cut. In the lower area of the inner hand 20 there is a cuff 22, which carries a pull tab 24 for a tension band sewn on in the lower area of the upper hand. The tensioning strap 26 can be attached to the loop part 28 of the surface zip with its surface zipper half, not shown, which is designed as a hook part.

The palm has a closed outer surface extending to the curved fingertips, which are connected at the seams 32 to form individual finger pockets 34 for the fingers 2 to 5 with the palm-side edges of the finger layer 18. The seams 32 are somewhat shorter than the finger incisions 12 in the upper hand, so that sufficient freedom of movement of the fingers in the finger pockets 34 is ensured.

The palm consists of a non-slip latex layer with a textured surface, which is laminated onto a knitted cotton fabric on the inside. The upper hand expediently consists of a with PVC and a very thin PUR layer coated synthetic fiber or cotton fabric. Various trimmings 36, 38 made of foam rubber can also be laminated on the back of the hand, of which the comb-like trimmings 36 extend into the finger area and thereby facilitate fisting and protect the finger joints against injuries. The same material as for the backhand 10 can be used for the thumb cut and the cuff with a pull-through flap, while the layers consist of a somewhat thinner, PVC-coated synthetic fiber material.
