Abstract

In the case of an electrical function group, a useful circuit is electrically connected to electrical units (31, 32, 33) via a plug connection. The plug connection is equipped with a longer and a shorter contact pin, so that when the plug connection is released, the shorter contact pin is released first. The longer contact pin is a useful contact (11) that closes the useful circuit and the shorter contact pin is a signaling contact (12, 12A) that closes a signaling circuit. The signaling circuit contains a monitoring device (4) which generates a warning message W when the signaling circuit is opened by the signaling contact (12, 12A). This detects that the plug connection is starting to loosen before the useful circuit is opened.

Description

The invention relates to an electrical functional group for a vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1.

There are a large number of electrical units in vehicles which are electrically connected to one another via plug connections. This can e.g. B. be an incandescent lamp, which is connected via a plug connection to a voltage source, or also a control unit, to which various sensors and units to be controlled are connected via plug connections.

If such a plug connection becomes detached, the electrical units connected via it are no longer functional. This represents security-related systems such. B. a motor vehicle airbag release circuit, a hazard for the transported people. Other systems, such as ignition control devices for internal combustion engines, can lead to engine damage, which result in expensive repairs.

In order to counter these dangers, ongoing operational monitoring of such systems is not sufficient, since a plug connection that has been disconnected is recognized immediately, but the adverse effects have already occurred.

The object of the invention is therefore to monitor an electrical plug connection in such a way that a release process of the plug connection can be recognized before the actual useful circuit which connects the electrical structural units to one another is disconnected.

Die erfindungsgemäße Lösung ist in Anspruch 1 gekennzeichnet. The solution according to the invention is characterized in claim 1.

Advantageous developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.

In the solution according to the invention, a plug connection is used which consists of a plug part with contact pins and a socket part with contact sleeves for receiving the contact pins. The plug-in part has at least one useful contact, which consists of a long contact pin, via which the electrical units are connected in a useful circuit. In addition, the plug-in part has at least one signaling contact, which consists of a short contact pin. When the plug connection is pushed together, the useful contacts come in electrical connection with the corresponding contact sleeves of the socket part before the signaling contact. On the other hand, when the plug connection is released, the signaling contact in front of the user contacts is released.

Such a connector is already known from other technical fields. In German Offenlegungsschrift 32 12 983 a removable plug is disclosed which comprises two long high-current contact pins and a short low-current contact pin. A high-voltage circuit is guided over the two high-voltage contact pins, which is switched on and off via the low-voltage contact pin with the aid of a semiconductor switch. This prevents arcing when the plug is removed, since the power circuit is already switched off before the power contact pins release.

In the application of such a plug connection according to the invention, there is no operative connection between the circuits routed via the short signaling contact and the long useful contact. The short signaling contact is part of a signaling circuit that contains a monitoring device that checks whether the signaling circuit is closed via the signaling contact. If this is not the case, the monitoring device issues a warning message. This can be displayed optically or acoustically, so that the operator of the vehicle is made aware of the detachable plug connection before the useful circuit is interrupted.

  • FIG 1 eine elektrische Funktionsgruppe und
  • FIG 2 eine elektrische Baueinheit mit einem Steckteil.
The invention is explained with reference to the figures; show it
  • 1 shows an electrical functional group and
  • 2 shows an electrical unit with a plug-in part.

In FIG 1 ist ein Nutzkreis mit zwei elektrischen Baueinheiten 31, 32 dargestellt, der über Leitungen und eine im aufgetrennten Zustand gezeichnete elektrische Steckverbindung aus einem Steckteil 1 und einem Buchsenteil 2 geschlossen wird.1 shows a useful circuit with two electrical units 31, 32, which is closed by a plug part 1 and a socket part 2 via lines and an electrical plug connection drawn in the separated state.

The electrical units 31, 32 represent any electrical parts or units used in vehicles, which are electrically connected to one another via plug connections.

The plug part 1 of the plug connection has a long useful contact 11, which is received by a correspondingly long contact sleeve 21 of the socket part 2 when the plug connection is pushed together. When pushed together, retaining lugs 23 of the socket part 2 overlap the plug part 1 and engage in the closed position in corresponding notches 13 of the plug part 1.

The plug part 1 also has a signaling contact 12, which is shorter than the useful contact 11, and which is received by a contact sleeve 22 of the socket part 2 in the closed position of the plug connection. A signaling circuit is closed via this signaling contact 12, the signaling contact 12 being connected to ground and the contact sleeve 22 to a monitoring device 4. The monitoring device 4 is a microprocessor which continuously checks whether the ground potential is present via the plug connection.

When the plug connection is released, the signaling contact 12 is first released from the contact sleeve 22 of the socket part 2 the ground potential is no longer present at the microprocessor and this generates a warning message W. This warning message W (not shown in FIG. 1) causes a warning lamp to light up, which alerts the operator of the vehicle to the detachable plug connection. This can then intervene accordingly before the useful circuit is opened via the long useful contact 11.

If there are several plug connections to be monitored, the individual signaling contacts 12 can be connected in series in a signaling circuit. This means that a separate input on the microprocessor is not required for each plug connection.

Dies ist jedoch durch die Anordnung je eines Meldekontakts 12A an beiden Seiten des Steckteils 1A verhindert.2 shows as the electrical unit 33 a control device with a plug-in part 1A attached to the housing. The useful contacts 11A are arranged here next to one another as knife contacts in the form of a knife strip. To the right and left of the user contacts 11A there is a signaling contact 12A, which is also designed as a knife contact. The signaling contacts 12A are connected in series on the same signaling circuit. Would be If, for example, only the signaling contact 12A on the left in FIG. 2 is present, a loosening of the plug connection by oblique pulling off would not be recognized in time. If an attached socket part were sheared off to the left by mechanical action, the electrical connection in particular would be disconnected in the case of the user contacts 11A on the right before the signaling contact 12A on the left would be disconnected. However, this is prevented by the arrangement of one signaling contact 12A on each side of the plug-in part 1A.

The use of two or more signaling contacts 12A is not only limited to an embodiment according to FIG. 2. It can also be used to monitor multipole circular connectors or asymmetrically shaped connectors. The arrangement of the individual signaling contacts 12A depends on the geometry of the plug connection. These are described in the Ab stood apart from each other that when loosening the connector by a jammed pull in any case, the electrical connection of one of the signaling contacts 12A is interrupted.
