Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Greiferwebmaschine gemäss Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.The invention relates to a rapier weaving machine according to the preamble of claim 1.

Rapier weaving machines of the type mentioned at the outset are known, for example, from DE-OS 2534494. In this rapier weaving machine, it is disadvantageous that the upper scissor blade is designed as a bracket that spans the lower scissor blade at a distance, the weft threads remaining at the edge of the fabric being passed through the opening between the cutting elements. The weft thread that is to be newly inserted into the shed is presented to the gripper by the weft thread feed device. The gripper pulls the weft thread still attached to the fabric edge over the lower scissor blade into a clamping member assigned to the scissor blade, whereupon the scissors are actuated and the weft thread is cut so that the new weft thread can be drawn into the shed. The rest of the weft remains clamped in the clamping member in order to prevent confusion with the other weft threads still remaining on the fabric edge. Apart from the fact that the scissors thus formed are relatively complicated, the weft thread inserted into the shed must be passed between the two scissor blades when struck by means of the reed, with the risk that such a weft thread will be pinched in the clamping member. Clamping the new weft thread to be inserted into the clamping member also presents difficulties, since a relatively large amount of force is required for this, which impairs the weft insertion in such a way that the weft thread receives too high a tension.

The object of the invention is to further improve a rapier weaving machine of the type mentioned at the outset.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Because the scissors are closed during the reed movement of the reed, the inserted weft thread certainly cannot penetrate between the scissor blades and is securely inserted into a catch hook at the front via the upper scissor blade. On the one hand, this results in a simplification of the device and, on the other hand, an increase in operational safety, since an undesired insertion of the weft thread between the scissor blades when the weft thread is struck is avoided with certainty.

Advantageous embodiments of the rapier weaving machine are described in claims 2 to 13.

In particular, if the weft feed device is designed with a weft changer according to claim 11, a further development according to claim 2 is recommended in order to reliably align the weft threads still remaining on the edge of the fabric with respect to the weft thread feed device, so that a weft thread can be placed in the entraining area of the gripper just as reliably is guaranteed. Particularly in the case of the fork-shaped design, there is particularly good positional fixation. An embodiment according to claim 3 is also advantageous, in particular when only one type of weft thread is to be introduced into the fabric.

A particularly simple arrangement and design of the catch hook describes claims 4 and 5. The transfer of the weft thread over the scissors can be improved by an embodiment according to claim 6.

Since the scissors are only required for cutting and no consideration needs to be given to the passage of a weft thread, the scissors can be designed in such a way that they enable optimal operation. For this purpose, an embodiment according to claim 7 is particularly advantageous, since the retaining lug prevents the weft thread from slipping out of the scissors during cutting. It is further expedient according to claims 8, 9 and 10 if the upper and / or the lower scissor blade are / are driven.

The rapier weaving machine is also particularly suitable for weft feeders with weft changers. A particularly simple device for deflecting the cut ends of the thread and thus for preventing tangling with weft threads still remaining on the edge of the fabric results from an embodiment according to claim 12. The suction nozzle also has the advantage that it removes dust and fluff and thus a particularly clean one Working method allowed. The suction nozzle is advantageously arranged according to claim 13.

The figures show the entry side of a rapier weaving machine with a weft thread feed device, which in the present case is designed as a weft thread changer, ie different thread guides 4 for alternately placing different weft threads S₁, S₂, S₃, S₃ via a stabilizing element 5 in the driving area of a gripper 6, which has is located in a gripper guide 7 and is inserted into the shed 8 from an entry belt (not shown) and pulled out again. The gripper 8 pulls the weft thread S 1 through a shed 8, which is formed from the top warp threads 10 and the bottom warp threads 12. A reed 14 serves to strike the inserted weft thread against a stop edge 16 of a fabric web 18.

On the entry side, outside the fabric edge 20, in the area of the stop edge 16 there is a pair of scissors 22 open against the reed 14. The scissors contain a lower machine-fixed scissor blade 26 and an upper scissor blade 24, not shown in detail, for example by means of known eccentric or cam mechanisms, which is pivotally mounted on an axis 28. The upper scissor blade 24 is further equipped at the free end with a against the other scissor blade 26 retaining nose 30 for an inserted weft thread S₁ or S₂, S₃, S₄. On the side lying in the running direction of the fabric web 18, the upper scissor blade 24 contains a catch hook 32 which aligns and guides at least the weft thread S 1 or S 2 of a last weft 34 with respect to the weft feed device 2.

The fabric edge 20 is further assigned a machine-fixed guide element 36, which contains an open fork 38 directed against the reed 14 and is used for aligning the farther lying, still connected to the fabric web 18 weft threads S₃, S₄. Between the guide element 36 and the scissors 22, a suction nozzle 40 is arranged in the area of the scissors 22, the fork 38 of the guide element 36 and the catch hook 32, in order to remove the cut weft pieces 42 protruding from the fabric web 28 from the area of the weft threads still connected to the weft feed device Deflect S₁, S₂, S₃, S₄ to avoid complications. The reed 14 is equipped with a guide member 44 with hook to guide the registered weft thread S₁ during the beating process over the upper scissor blade 24.

The functioning of the rapier weaving machine is described in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4.

Figure 2 shows the rapier weaving machine in the working phase in which the weft feeder 2 has guided the weft S 1 into the driving area of the rapier 6 by means of the thread guide 4 and the latter has already gripped the weft S 1 and is on its way into the shed 8. The weft thread S 1 is connected to the fabric web 18 on its side facing away from the weft feed device 2 and is guided around the catch hook 32 into the area of the open scissors 22. By actuating the scissors 22, the weft thread S 1 is severed, the retaining lug 30 preventing the weft thread from sliding out of the scissors 22. As shown in FIG. 3, the weft thread is now drawn completely into the shed. As soon as the gripper 6 has released the weft S 1 and has returned to its starting position according to FIG. 4, the weaving blade 14 begins with the striking of the inserted weft S 1. The scissors 22 are closed at this stage and the reed 14 carries the registered weft S 1 by means of the thread guide member 44 and the hook 46 over the upper scissor blade 24 behind the catch hook 32. The catch hook 32 aligns the weft S 1 with respect to the weft feed device, so that it is by means of the thread guide 4 can again be brought into the driving area of the gripper 6 in a precisely defined manner. If the weft thread S 1 is not used over several shots, it migrates with the fabric web 18 and is released from the catch hook 32 to the fork 38 of the guide element 36, as is shown for the weft threads S 3 and S₄.
