Während das Werkstück 5 um die Achse 12 rotiert ist die Drehachse 13 des Schleifdorns 1 hierzu etwas schräg gestellt. Gleichzeitig ist das Fußteil kegelförmig verjüngt ausgebildet. Schrägstellung der Drehachse 13 zur Achse 12 und kegelförmige verjüngung des Fußteiles 3 sind so aufeinander abgestimmt, daß die Bohrung 6 innenrund geschliffen werden kann, aber gleichzeitig die Planfläche des Kopfteiles 4 die Planfläche 8 des Werkstückes schleifen kann.
