Description

La présente invention concerne l'assemblage d'éléments profilés transversaux. The present invention relates to the assembly of transverse profile elements.

It also relates more precisely to a connecting piece of two transverse profiled elements, such as crosspieces and uprights of a framing structure.

The main object of the present invention is to improve the arrangements described in patent FR-A-2,570,770 in the name of the Applicant. According to this prior patent, provision has been made to assemble two transverse profiled elements such as crosspieces and uprights of a framing structure, for the implementation of the method which consists in engaging in longitudinal chambers formed in first profiles by the ends of these, blocking means provided projecting from the main body of a connecting piece, said blocking means having a cross section of envelope generally complementary to said chambers to ensure relative immobilization of each connecting piece and first profiles, transverse to the direction of introduction of the blocking means into the associated chamber, the main body of said connecting pieces further comprising fixing means projecting from the main body, transversely to the blocking means, the means fastening device comprising positioning means capable of penetrating a longitudinal groove the second profiles, and immobilization means, then to install in position a plurality of second generally parallel profiles, then to introduce the first profiles equipped with connecting pieces between adjacent second profiles, transverse to the direction of elongation these, according to a relative movement perpendicular to the directions of elongation of the first and second profiles, and introduce the positioning means into the associated groove of the second profiles, and finally to fix the connecting pieces in the chosen position thanks to the immobilization means.

The invention described in this patent also relates to a connecting piece suitable for implementing this method, comprising a base body provided with locking means projecting from the body, intended to penetrate into at least one chamber of the one of the profiled elements and having a cross section of envelope generally complementary to said chamber to ensure relative immobilization of the connecting piece and of the profile transversely to the direction of introduction of the locking means in the chamber, and of fixing means projecting from the body transversely to the locking means, the fixing means comprising positioning means able to penetrate a groove in the second profile and immobilization means able to block the fixing means and therefore the connecting piece on the second profile in a chosen position.

However, experience shows that this connecting piece requires, during assembly, the addition of different joints to give full satisfaction. Furthermore, the addition of this seal cannot be done in wet weather and / or in cold weather, most often for temperatures below 5 ° C. This constraint is indeed troublesome in this case.

The present invention aims to improve the situation by proposing a connecting piece of two transverse profiled elements, characterized in that it comprises a seal, made of synthetic elastomer material, integrated by overmolding on the base body of the connecting piece to protrude over at least part of the outer surface of the base body.

Thanks to the integration of the seal on the base body, the connecting piece according to the present invention allows the assembly of structures, in any weather and without risk of forgetting or poor sealing.

According to an advantageous characteristic of the present invention, the base body comprises at least one groove with converging edges and the seal is molded in this groove. Thus the seal is held securely on the base body.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the present invention, the basic body has the general shape of a parallelepiped and the joint constitutes a continuous belt surrounding the basic body.

According to another advantageous characteristic of the present invention, the seal has, relative to the base body, a variable projecting height.

According to another characteristic of the present invention, the seal is made of neoprene, while the base body is made of zamack.

We will first quickly recall the structure of the connecting part defined in patent FR-A-2 570 770, and illustrated in Figure 1 attached, the more detailed description of said part can be found in the text of this patent.

This connecting piece 10 has a plane of symmetry which coincides with the section plane III-III of FIG. 3.

The connecting piece 10 comprises a base body 12 in the general shape of a parallelepiped. The base body 12 is delimited by two main surfaces 13, 14, two secondary surfaces 15, 16 and two auxiliary surfaces 17, 18.

The main surfaces 13 and 14 are mutually parallel and parallel to the plane of symmetry of the part. The secondary surfaces 15, 16 are mutually parallel and orthogonal to the main surfaces 13, 14. The auxiliary surfaces 17, 18, are mutually parallel and orthogonal, on the one hand, to the main surfaces 13, 14, and, on the other part, to secondary surfaces 15, 16.

The auxiliary surface 17 is provided with three projecting studs 19, 20 and 21. These studs have complementary cross sections of associated chambers provided in a first profile. Thus, when the pins 19, 20, 21 are engaged in the associated chambers of the first profile, they define a relative immobilization of the connecting piece 10 and of the profile transversely to the direction of insertion of the pins, ie transversely to the main surfaces 13, 14 and to the secondary surfaces 15, 16.

La surface secondaire 15 est munie d'une rainure à bords convergents 22.The secondary surface 15 is provided with a groove with converging edges 22.

The part 10 also has a straight blade 23 extending perpendicular to the plane of symmetry. The blade 23 is connected to the secondary surface 16 via a connecting structure 24. The blade 23 is adapted to penetrate a groove formed in a second profile in order to define a relative relative positioning between the connecting piece 10 and the second section mentioned above. The blade 23 is provided in the vicinity of each of its ends with an oblong bore 25, 26, intended to receive anchoring elements, such as screws making it possible to fix the part 10 on the second profile.

Finally, the main surfaces 13, 14 are provided with protruding plates 27, 28. The plates 27, 28 also extend perpendicular to the plane of symmetry. They are provided near the secondary surface 15 at the edge produced between the auxiliary surface 18 and the main surfaces 13 and 14 respectively. The plates 27, 28 are intended to rest against the aforementioned second profile. They are each provided with a through bore 29, 30 capable of receiving an anchoring element, such as a rivet.

The base body 110 of the connecting piece, 100 in accordance with the present invention, illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 7, essentially repeats the provisions taught by patent FR-A-2,570,770, previously recalled, opposite of Figure 1 attached.

For this reason, the essential elements of the basic body 110 illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 7 will be accompanied by numerical references corresponding to those used in FIG. 1, but with the addition of "100".

Il est de plus prévu une paire de nervures, telles que 133, 134, sur chacune des surfaces extérieures des tenons 120, 121.Note, however, that with respect to the base body 10 illustrated in FIG. 1, the base body 110 illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 7 comprises rectilinear ribs 131, 132, 133, 134 and 135 on the surfaces of the studs 119, 120 , 121, extending parallel to the main surfaces 113, 114. These ribs extend perpendicular to the auxiliary surface 117. There is thus provided a rib 131, 132 on each of the main faces of the stud 119. There is also provided a pair of ribs, such as 133, 134, on each of the outer surfaces of the studs 120, 121.

The ribs 131 to 135 facilitate the adaptation of the pins 119, 120, 121 inside the associated chambers of the first profile to prevent any play between these elements.

In addition, the base body 110 illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 7 differs from the base body 10 illustrated in FIG. 1, by the fact that the auxiliary surface 118 is provided with a straight longitudinal groove 136, that the bottom of the groove 122 with converging edges is hollowed out with a channel 137 and that the secondary surface 16 is also provided with a straight longitudinal groove 138. All of these elements have symmetry with respect to the section plane III-III.

In addition, as indicated above, in the context of the present invention, the connecting piece 100 is provided with a seal 150. This seal 150 is made of synthetic elastomeric material, for example neoprene. It is integrated by overmoulding on the base body 110 to protrude over at least part of the outer surface of the base body. This last is advantageously made of zamack, that is to say of a zinc base alloy containing a maximum of 12% of aluminum and copper. The overmolding of the seal 150 in neoprene on the base body 110 in zamack is preferably carried out at a temperature of the order of 200 ° C. The Applicant has determined that, at this temperature, the base body 110 of the connecting piece does not undergo any deterioration and retains all its mechanical properties.

More precisely still, preferably, the seal 150 is molded onto the body 110 in the form of a continuous belt surrounding the base body 110 at the secondary surfaces 115, 116 and the auxiliary surfaces 117, 118. The seal 150 is thus engaged in the groove with converging edges 122 and the channel 137 provided on the secondary surface 115, in the groove 136 provided on the auxiliary surface 118, in the groove 138 provided on the secondary surface 116; the seal 150 is also arranged on either side of the studs 119, 120 and 121. Thanks to the engagement thus defined between the overmolded seal 150 and the structures of the base body 110, the seal 150 is immobilized securely on the base body 110.

As is clear from examining the appended figures, the seal 150 preferably has, relative to the base body 110, a variable projecting height. This height of the joint 150 protruding from the base body 110 is adapted, as a function of the geometry of the profiles to be connected, to ensure optimum sealing.

The seal 150 is produced by placing the base body 110 in a mold defining on the periphery of the secondary surfaces 115, 116 and of the auxiliary surfaces 117, 118, a continuous chamber complementary to the seal 150 sought.

The seal 150 can be the subject of many embodiments.

According to an embodiment shown in the appended figures, this seal 150 comprises a strip 151 engaged in the groove 136 and of the same width as the latter. The strip 151 has a constant projecting height relative to the auxiliary surface 118. The strip 151 is extended towards the auxiliary surface 116 by a stepped strip 152 which covers the connection zone 124 and the blade 123, presenting, with respect to the base body 110, the same projecting height as the strip 151. The strip 152 is extended by a strip 153 engaged in the groove 138 and preferably having a narrower width than the strip 151. If necessary, the strip 153 can be provided with a protrusion 154 adapted to penetrate an associated groove formed in the second profile.

The strip 153 is extended on the auxiliary surface 117 by a strip 155. Preferably, the strip 155 is provided with lips 158, 159 on each of its longitudinal free edges 156, 157 parallel to the main surfaces 113, 114. The lips 158, 159 are flat. They extend parallel to the surfaces 113, 114. Their distance is substantially equal to the width of the first profile intended to receive the studs 119, 120, 121. Thus, when the studs 119, 120, 121 are engaged in the first profile, the lips 158, 159 are placed on the outside of the first profile to perfect the sealing of the system.

La bande 155 entoure la base des tenons 119, 120, 121.A first profile is shown schematically, in broken lines, under the reference P, in FIG. 4. The strip 155 surrounds the base of the studs 119, 120, 121.

The strip 160 is itself connected to the strip 151 above. It is engaged in the groove with converging edges 122. Where appropriate, as appears in particular on examining FIGS. 3 and 5, the strip 160 can be stepped, that is to say have a projecting height varying by relative to the secondary surface 115.

L'assemblage de profilés transversaux à l'aide de la pièce de liaison 100 conforme à la présente invention reste identique au processus décrit dans le brevet FR-A-2 570 770.The assembly of transverse profiles using the connecting piece 100 according to the present invention remains identical to the process described in patent FR-A-2,570,770.

However, the integration of a seal 150 on the base body avoids any subsequent addition of necessary seals, allows the assembly of the profiles in any weather, that is to say whatever the temperature and the degree of humidity, finally avoids any forgetting and any faulty sealing.
