Abstract
Description
- La présente invention concerne une cartouche pour injecter dans un corps creux, un produit semi-pâteux, tel qu'une mousse de polyuréthane obtenue par le mélange de deux constituants liquides, à savoir un polyol et un isocyanate.
- La cartouche visée par l'invention est destinée en particulier à injecter de la mousse de polyuréthane dans un manchon d'étanchéité et d'isolation électrique entourant l'épissure qui raccorde des câbles électriques ou électroniques.
- On connaît selon le brevet français 2 518 450 de la demanderesse, une cartouche pour injecter dans un corps creux, un produit semi-pâteux obtenu par le mélange de deux constituants liquides, comprenant deux récipients, montés de façon coulissante, l'un dans l'autre et renfermant chacun l'un des deux constituants précités. L'un des récipients est séparé de l'autre récipient par une cloison, l'autre récipient comporte un embout de sortie destiné à être raccordé à l'orifice d'injection du corps creux, cette cloison et cet embout de sortie présentant chacun un opercule perforable par une tige perforatrice montée axialement dans la cartouche pour permettre respectivement le passage des constituants du premier récipient dans le second récipient, et le passage du mélange résultant par l'embout de sortie du second récipient. La tige comporte une partie avant lisse et une partie arrière filetée séparées par une partie intermédiaire courte et filetée, de diamètre supérieur à celui desdites parties avant et arrière. Le premier récipient comporte sur son extrémité opposée au second récipient une ouverture taraudée destinée à recevoir ladite partie intermédiaire filetée. L'extrémité libre de la partie lisse de la tige est filetée. L'embout de sortie du second récipient présente un taraudage interne destiné à recevoir le filetage ménagé sur l'extrémité de cette partie lisse. La longueur de cette partie lisse est supérieure à la distance comprise entre la cloison et le taraudage du premier récipient et la partie filetée de la tige comporte un écrou destiné à prendre appui à l'extérieur de la cartouche, sur l'extrémité du premier récipient pour pousser celui-ci dans le second récipient.
- Les inconvénients de la cartouche connue précitée résident dans le fait qu'elle ne permet pas d'obtenir un mélange parfait des deux constituants et qu'elle peut conduire à des résultats médiocres lorsqu'elle n'est pas utilisée correctement.
- Le but de la présente invention est de remédier aux inconvénients de la réalisation précitée, en proposant une cartouche d'injection permettant d'obtenir un parfait mélange des deux constituants et dont le fonctionnement et l'utilisation sont à la fois simples, faciles, sûrs et fiables.
- La cartouche visée par l'invention pour injecter le mélange de deux constituants liquides comprend un réservoir qui comporte un compartiment pour l'un des constituants et un compartiment pour l'autre constituant, et des moyens pour propulser ces deux constituants vers une chambre de mélange qui débouche à l'extérieur par une ouverture de sortie.
- Le réservoir comprend deux compartiments concentriques cylindriques contenant respectivement l'un et l'autre constituant, un piston étant monté de façon coulissante dans chacun des deux compartiments, les deux pistons comprennent un piston annulaire monté dans le compartiment extérieur de section annulaire complémentaire, ce piston annulaire entourant le second piston qui est monté dans le compartiment intérieur cylindrique qui est entouré par le compartiment extérieur, ces deux pistons étant reliés ensemble de façon à ce qu'on puisse les faire coulisser simultanément.
- Suivant l'invention, cette cartouche est caractérisée en ce que le piston annulaire est porté par un tube de diamètre supérieur au diamètre du compartiment intérieur, en ce que le second piston est porté par un tube de diamètre inférieur au diamètre du compartiment intérieur, en ce que les extrémités de ces deux tubes, opposées aux pistons sont reliées ensemble, en ce qu'à l'intérieur du tube portant le second piston est montée une vis qui est vissée dans un écrou solidaire des deux extrémités des tubes opposées aux pistons, en ce que cette vis comprend un organe susceptible de venir en appui contre une butée située au-delà de l'écrou, cette butée étant solidaire d'un corps qui est relié à l'extrémité du réservoir qui est adjacente au piston annulaire, des moyens étant prévus pour faire coulisser simultanément les deux pistons, en ce que chacun des compartiments débouche dans une chambre de mélange commune qui comprend des cloisons définissant un trajet sinueux du mélange des deux constituants entre les deux compartiments et l'ouverture de sortie de la chambre de mélange.
- Lors de l'utilisation, les deux pistons en coulissant dans les deux compartiments propulsent simultanément les deux constituants dans la chambre de mélange. Du fait que ces deux constituants emprunter dans la chambre de mélange des trajets sinueux définis par des cloisons déviatrices, ces deux constituants débouchent à la sortie de la chambre sous la forme d'un mélange parfaitement homogène.
- Dans une réalisation avantageuse de l'invention, le réservoir est prolongé à l'opposé des pistons par un manchon dans lequel est vissée la chambre de mélange, la partie de cette chambre adjacente aux deux compartiments comprend une ouverture centrale susceptible de communiquer avec un orifice du compartiment intérieur et une ou plusieurs ouvertures périphériques susceptibles de communiquer avec un ou plusieurs orifices périphériques du compartiment extérieur, après dévissage de la chambre de mélange.
- Il suffit donc de devisser la chmabre de mélange pour permettre aux deux constituants provenant du réservoir de pénétrer dans cette chambre où ces deux constituants sont mélangés automatiquement avant d'être expulsés à l'extérieur.

- Dans la réalisation des figures 1 et 2, la cartouche entièrement réalisée en matière plastique, pour injecter dans un corps creux le mélange de deux constituants liquides comprend un réservoir 1 qui comporte un compartiment 2 pour l'un des constituants et un compartiment 3 pour l'autre constituant et des moyens qui seront détaillés plus loin, pour propulser ces deux constituants vers une chambre de mélange 4 qui débouche à l'extérieur par une ouverture de sortie 5. Le réservoir 1 comprend deux compartiments 2, 3 concentriques cylindriques contenant respectivement l'un et l'autre constituant. Un piston 6, 7 est monté de façon coulissante dans chacun des deux compartiments 2, 3. Des moyens sont prévus pour faire coulisser simultanément les deux pistons 6, 7. Chacun des compartiments 2, 3 débouche dans la chambre de mélange commune 4. Cette dernière comprend une série de cloisons telles que 8, 9 définissant un trajet sineux du mélange des deux constituants entre les deux compartiments 2, 3 et l'ouverture de sortie 5 de la chambre de mélange 4.
- Les deux pistons comprennent un piston annulaire 7 monté dans le compartiment extérieur 3 de section annulaire complémentaire. Ce piston annulaire 7 entoure le second piston 6 qui est monté dans le compartiment intérieur cylindrique 2 qui est lui-même entouré par le compartiment extérieur 3. Ces deux pistons 6, 7 sont reliés ensemble de façon à ce qu'on puisse les faire coulisser simultanément.
- Le piston annulaire 7 muni de joints d'étanchéité 10, 11 est porté par un tube 12 de diamètre supérieur au diamètre du compartiment intérieur 2. Le second piston 6 muni d'un joint d'étanchéité 13 est porté par un tube 14 de diamètre inférieur au diamètre du compartiment intérieur 2. Les extrémités 12a, 14a, de ces deux tubes 12, 14, opposées aux pistons 6, 7 sont reliées ensemble par un manchon 15.
- A l'intérieur du tube 14 portant le second piston 6 est montée une vis 16 qui est vissée dans un écrou 17. solidaire des deux extrémités 12a, 14a des tubes 12, 14. Cette vis 16 comprend un organe 18 susceptible de venir en appui contre une butée 19 située au-delà de l'écrou 17. Cette butée 19 est solidaire d'un corps 20 qui est relié à l'extrémité 1a du réservoir 1 qui est adjacente au piston annulaire 7.
- On soit sur la figure 1 que le corps 20 entoure et recouvre de façon étanche, les tubes 12, 14 des pistons 7, 6 et la vis 16.
- Par ailleurs, le corps 20 comprend sur son extrémité 20a opposée au réservoir 1, un évidement 21 dans lequel fait saillie un embout 16a de la vis 16 destiné à recevoir un organe tel qu'une clef d'entraînement en rotation de cette vis.
- D'autre part, le réservoir 1 est prolongé à l'opposé des pistons 6, 7 par un manchon 22 (voir également les figures 3 et 4) dans lequel est vissée la chambre de mélange 4. La partie 23 de cette chambre 4 adjacente aux deux compartiments 2, 3 comprend une ouverture centrale 24 susceptible de communiquer avec un orifice 31 du compartiment intérieur 2 et plusieurs ouvertures périphériques 26 susceptibles de communiquer avec un ou plusieurs orifices périphériques 27 du compartiment extérieur 3, après dévissage de la chambre de mélange (voir figures 4 et 5). La partie 23 de la chambre de mélange 4 comprend (voir figure 3) un épaulement 25 compris entre deux joints qui ferme de façon étanche les orifices 27 du compartiment extérieur, lorsque la chambre de mélange 4 est vissée à fond dans le manchon 22.
- Par ailleurs, la partie 23 de la chambre de mélange 4 comprend une cavité 28 dont le fond présente une ouverture 24 communiquant avec l'intérieur de la chambre et dans laquelle est logée une soupape 29 prenant appui sous l'action d'un ressort 30 contre un orifice 31 du fond du compartiment central 2.
- La force d'appui de la soupape 29 contre l'orifice 31 et la section de celui-ci sont déterminées de façon que lorsque les pistons 6, 7 sont poussés vers la chambre de mélange 4 le débit du passage du constituant par l'orifice 31 soit proportionnel au débit du passage de l'autre constituant par les orifices périphériques 27, compte tenu du mélange désiré de ces deux constituants.
- On voit également sur les figures 3 et 4, que les cloisons telles que 8, 9 de la chambre de mélange 4 sont constituées par des disques parallèles s'étendant sur toute la dimension de la chambre 4 qui est perpendiculaire à l'axe du réservoir 1. Ces disques 8, 9 présentent alternativement une ouverture centrale 31a (voir figure 6) et une série d'ouvertures périphériques 32 (voir figure 7) de dimensions plus faibles que l'ouverture centrale 31a, ces ouvertures 31a, 32 obligeant le mélange des deux constituants à emprunter un trajet sinueux (voir flèches sur la figure 4).
- Par ailleurs, chaque disque 8, 9 présente sur ses deux faces une série de nervures 33, 34 en forme d'arc de spirale s'étendant en s'espaçant progressivement entre la partie centrale des disques 8, 9 vers la périphérie de ceux-ci.
- On voit d'autre part sur les figures 3 et 4, que la section transversale des disques 8, 9 présente une partie plane 8a, 9a centrale prolongée de part et d'autre vers l'extérieur par deux parties 8b, 9b en forme de v.
- La sortie 5 de la chambre de mélange 4 est ménagée dans un embout 35 pouvant être vissé dans une tubulure d'injection (non représentée). Le vissage et le dévissage de la chambre de mélange 4 par rapport au réservoir 1 est réalisé par rotation de ce dernier par rapport à la tubulure d'injection.
- Par ailleurs, le manchon 22 dans lequel est vissée la chambre de mélange 4 est fermé à son extrémité opposée au réservoir 1 par un capuchon 36 de protection de la chambre muni d'une ouverture centrale 37. Ce capuchon 36 constitue une butée pour limiter la course de dévissage de la chambre 4 (voir figure 4).
- De plus, le sens du filetage sur lequel est vissée la chambre de mélange 4 est inverse de celui du filetage de la vis 16 d'actionnement des pistons 6, 7.
- Le fonctionnement de la cartouche que l'on vient de décrire est le suivant.
- Lors du stockage de la cartouche, celle-ci se trouve dans la position représentée sur les figures 2 et 3. Les compartiments 2 et 3 du réservoir 1 sont fermés d'une part par les pistons 6 et 7 et d'autre part par la chambre de mélange 4 vissée à fond contre l'extrémité du reservoir 1.
- Lors de la mise en oeuvre de la cartouche, il n'y a rien à couper ou à ouvrir. Il suffit de visser à fond l'embout fileté 35 de la chambre de mélange sur la tubulure d'injection fixée au corps creux que l'on veut remplir.
- On continue ensuite la rotation de la cartouche par rapport à la tubulure. Le filetage de pas inverse (à gauche) suivant lequel la chambre de mélange 4 est vissée dans le manchon 22 provoque le dévissage de cette chambre de mélange 4, ce qui libère les orifices et ouvertures de communication entre les compartiments 2 et 3 de la chambre de mélange 4.
- Il suffit ensuite de tourner la vis 16 en engageant sur l'embout 16a de celle-ci une clef appropriée. Etant donné que le filetage de cette vis 16 est inverse de celui de la chambre de mélange 4, celle-ci ne risque pas de se visser vers le réservoir 1 lors de la rotation de la vis 16.
- La rotation de cette vis 16 entraîne le coulissement synchrone des pistons 6 et 7, ce qui provoque l'expulsion des deux constituants dans la chambre de mélange 4.
- En passant successivement par l'ouverture centrale 31a d'un disque 8 vers les petites ouvertures 32 du disque 9 suivant, les deux constituants décrivent un trajet sinueux, qui permet d'obtenir un mélange parfaitement homogène de ces deux constituants.
- L'obtention d'un excellent mélange résulte également du fait que les constituants s'écoulent dans une multitude de canaux délimités par les nervures 33, 34 en arc de spirale qui ont pour effet de diviser la matière.
- Bien entendu, l'invention n'est pas limitée à l'exemple de réalisation que l'on vient de décrire et on peut apporter à celui-ci de nombreuses modifications sans sortir du cadre de l'invention.
- Ainsi, la forme et le nombre des disques 8, 9 contenus dans la chambre de mélange pourraient être différents de ceux décrits, pourvu que les constituants parcourent un trajet sinueux dans cette chambre.
