Abstract

The invention relates to a fence usable, for example, for isolating a construction yard. The fencing is formed from panels (4) mounted on vertical posts (5), the panels (4) having undulations (1, 2) of the anti-billposting type, of a shape adapted to the nature of the material used, which is ABS plastic treated for UV radiation resistance, and to a mode of production which comprises the hot forming of a flat sheet of this material. The waves (1, 2) each comprise two main portions, symmetrical in relation to a plane perpendicular to the general direction of the panel, and forming an angle of 45 to 70 degrees with this direction, and a connecting portion (3) parallel to the general direction of the panel and having a length of 0.25 to 0.50 times the length of an undulation. Fixing is carried out without drilling, thanks to horizontal transverse elements (6, 7) thermally welded onto the connecting portions, at the rear of the panel (4), and fixing devices mounted on the posts thanks to a clip (16) or the like, and carrying a vertical finger which is inserted between the transverse element (6, 7) and two adjacent main portions (1, 2) of an undulation. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a palisade, intended for example to prevent access to a site.

Currently, to make palisades, most often, deep corrugated sheet metal panels, having a so-called "anti-poster" profile, in painted or lacquered sheet metal, which are fixed to metal support posts using quote. These panels are heavy, and they also have the disadvantage of deteriorating fairly quickly under the effect of bad weather when their paint is started, for example following an impact. It appeared to the inventors that there was a demand for lighter panels and material which is practically unalterable, the possible initial cost of such panels being partly offset by the elimination of maintenance, as well as by a more pleasant aspect. and usable for advertising purposes.

The simple substitution, for painted or pre-lacquered steel sheet, of an appropriate plastic material has, in the experience, proved impossible, because the forming of the plastics tested follows different rules from that sheet steel, so that it is impossible to use, with these plastics, the forms of anti-poster profiles which have been developed for sheet metal panels.

It was therefore necessary to develop new shapes of profiles, which while guaranteeing a satisfactory result against wild displays, do not compromise the robustness of the panels and allow an easy and inexpensive preparation. It also appeared that the fixing system by screws passing through the panel turns out to be ill-suited to the case of plastics, and it was therefore necessary to also review the system for fixing the panels to the posts. We have come up with solutions different from those which are currently in use, and which are also simpler and easier to implement.

The invention therefore provides a palisade consisting of a series of corrugated panels preventing the display, approximately vertical or perpendicular to the ground, carried by vertical posts situated on the rear face of the panels by means of fixing devices, this palisade having the particularity that the panels are made of plastic material of the ASA type (acrylonitrile- styreneacryle), treated against ultraviolet radiation, or a similar plastic material, that these panels are shaped by hot formations of a flat plate, and that the corrugations are each formed of two main parts substantially planar, symmetrical by relative to a plane perpendicular to the general direction of the plate, and connecting to each other, on the side of the front face of the panel, by a rounding of small radius, and of a planar connecting part, parallel to the general direction of the panel and located on its rear face, the main parameters of the corrugation being as follows:
- angle of the main parts with the general direction of the panel: 45 to 70 degrees,
- length of a corrugation (horizontally or parallel to the ground): 30 to 90 mm,
- length of the connection part: 0.25 to 0.50 times the length of a corrugation,
- thickness of the plate, measured on the connection part: 3 to 5 mm,
- radius of curvature at the connection of the main parts: 2.5 to 4 mm on the front face, 0.7 to 1.5 mm on the rear face.

By front and rear faces of the panels, or of the palisade, is meant respectively the face which is turned towards the public foreign to the building site, in the case where the palisade isolates a building site, and that which is turned towards the interior of said building site.

Preferably, the fastening devices comprise on the one hand at least two crosspieces, perpendicular to the corrugations and formed from a profile of the same plastic material as the panel, but not necessarily treated against ultraviolet radiation, in U-section, and the bottom of which is thermally welded against the face rear of the connection parts of the corrugations, and on the other hand, a fixing piece comprising a cylindrical rod of diameter calculated to be housed practically without play in a triangular space defined by two main parts of corrugations and a cross member, and connecting means for connecting this rod by one of its ends to a pole.

The fastening devices are therefore not rigidly fixed to the panel, but their cylindrical rod is simply threaded into the triangular space defined by two main parts of undulations and a cross member, and prevented from sliding vertically by means of the connecting means. , which come to bear against the crosspiece. If one wishes the panel to be irremovable, one of the cylindrical rods relating to the same post is threaded from top to bottom in the aforementioned triangular space, and the other rod from bottom to top. If on the contrary, we want the panel to be removable, we can thread the two rods from bottom to top, we can then remove the panel simply by lifting it from a suitable height.

Advantageously, the connecting means comprise an iron which carries the cylindrical rod towards one of the ends of said rod, and which is provided with a connection with a collar which can be fixed by clamping or by another removable fixing means on the post. , this connection allowing a rotation of the iron relative to the collar around an axis perpendicular to the rod, and a limited translation of the iron in a plane parallel to the direction of the sleepers.

This arrangement with clamping collar prevents any drilling of the posts. On the other hand, the angular and translational mobility of the iron relative to the collar is particularly useful in the case of inclined terrain, where the panels can be laid with their lower edge parallel to the ground, the posts however being vertical , in this case, the fixing device corresponding to the lower crossmember can cooperate with a corrugation and the fixing device corresponding to the upper cross member with a different corrugation.

The invention will now be described in more detail with the aid of a practical example, illustrated with the aid of the drawings, among which:
  • FIG. 1 is a partial view of a panel, in cross section, perpendicular to the direction of the corrugations,
  • FIGS. 2 and 3 are diagrams illustrating the different possibilities for constructing palisades according to the invention,
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic perspective view of the fixing device,
  • Figure 5 is a horizontal sectional view of the fixing device.
  • Figure 6 is a horizontal section similar to Figure 5 but by another horizontal plane, namely a plane passing through the web of the cross.

In Figure 1, the top of the figure shows the front of the fence, and the bottom of Figure 1 the back of this fence.

As can be seen, each wave is made up of three flat parts which are connected by rounding. In the example considered, the main flat parts are connected on the front side, and form an angle of about 60 degrees between them, while being symmetrical with respect to a plane perpendicular to the general direction of the profile, that is to say say the horizontal in FIG. 1. The connection parts 3, for their part, are parallel to the general direction of the panel. The total length a of a corrugation, in the example considered, is 58.5 mm, and the length b of a flat connection part is 20 mm, that is to say approximately one third the length of a wave. The different dimensions are chosen according to the different technical imperatives: the spacing between two vertices of undulations, that is to say the two junction points of plane parts principi blades 1 and 2, must be sufficient to discourage any attempt at wild posters, either by sticking posters or by spraying paint. On the other hand, the angle of the main parts must be chosen for good rigidity. Finally, the length of the connection part must ensure good fixing for the crosspieces which will be discussed later. On the other hand, the inclination of the main faces must take into account the imperatives of forming. The panel, in fact, is obtained, in the present case, by deformation of a flat plate, 4 mm thick, made of ASA treated against ultraviolet radiation. The properties of this material condition the angle between the main planar parts. Another element to consider is the curvature at the top of the waves. A weak curvature on the front face is preferable to hinder the sticking of posters, however it is advisable to have a sufficiently large curvature on the rear face of the same angle, so as to prevent the appearance of incipient fractures.

In practice, the radii of curvature chosen have the following values: at the junction of parts 1 and 2: 3.5 mm at the front, 1 mm at the rear; at the junction of parts 1 or 2 and 3, 2 mm at the front, 5 mm at the rear.

As an indication, the properties of the material used were as follows:
Density: 1.7 g / cm3
VICAT VST / B / 50 softening temperature: 95 ° C
Molding shrinkage: 0.4-0.7%
Breaking stress: 35 N / mm2
Elongation at break: 21%
Impact resistance on notched bars at 23 ° C: 60 kJ / m2
Impact resistance on notched bars at -40 ° C: 2 kJ / m2.

It is clear that if the resin used were replaced by another material, the dimensions and shapes chosen would be slightly different. In any case, it is preferable that it is a treated material against ultraviolet radiation, in order to avoid variations in appearance over time. In the present case, the anti-ultraviolet treatment is a treatment of the conventional type.

In addition to the fact that the configuration chosen is well suited to the material chosen, another advantage results from the presence of flat parts in the corrugations; while a wild display, necessarily fast, is impossible, or at least easy to remove, we can use the ripples for advertising or decorative purposes, with the particularity that the spectator will be able to see a different drawing depending on whether he has the palisade to his left or to his right.

Figures 2 and 3 show, seen from the rear, various methods of fixing palisade panels. These panels 4 are shown in Figure 2, isolated from each other, and at different heights. In this figure, there are shown fixing posts 5, which are connected to the panel 4 by the fixing devices which will be described later. Each panel 4 is carried by two posts 5, which are each connected to one or two crosspieces 6, 7. To the right of FIG. 2, an arrangement has been shown where the ground is sloping, but where the panel is horizontal, the height of the posts 5 means that one of them cooperates with two crosspieces 6, 7, while the other only cooperates with the lower crosspiece 7, which is sufficient to ensure stability.

In Figure 3, there are shown panels 4 arranged parallel to a non-horizontal floor, and supported by posts 5 which are however vertical. It is understood that the fastening devices will be located opposite different corrugations at the level of the upper cross member 6 and the lower cross member 7. It will be explained later how this is possible.

Figures 4 and 5 show a fixing device used, although it is possible to use others.

A tubular rod 8 is carried by an iron 9, with a vertical U-shaped section lying on the side, that is to say formed by two horizontal panels 10 connected by a vertical panel 11. The panels 10 are of triangular shape , and are welded to the rod 8 at their vertices opposite the vertical panel 11. The vertical panel 11 comprises a horizontal lumen 12, crossed by a horizontal threaded rod 13. On this threaded rod, inside the iron 9, is screwed a nut 14, which bears on the vertical part 11 of the iron by means of a washer 15, of diameter greater than the width of the slot 12. The other end of the threaded rod 13 is integral with a collar 16, which surrounds the post 5, which is here a tubular element of the same type as those which are used for the construction of scaffolding for building sites. The collar is also of the classic type, quick mounting.

There is shown in Figure 4, in broken lines, a cross 6, which cooperates with the fixing device, and which rests on the upper part of the iron 9. Figure 6 is a horizontal section at the cross 6. notes that the latter, which is U-shaped with a vertical core and two horizontal wings, is welded to the connection parts 3 of the waves, and that the tubular rod 8 is located in space, in the shape of an equilateral triangle defined by the main flat parts 1, 2 of the wave and the web of the crossmember 6. To set up a panel, after having planted the vertical posts 5, a fixing device is placed, with the rod 8 directed towards the top from the iron 9, using the collar 16, which is tightened on a post 5. The same operation is carried out for a second post 5, by putting the fixing device at the same height.

If one wishes to place the panel in a removable manner, one operates in the same way to fix two other fixing devices, at a distance from the first fixing devices equal to the interval between the crosspieces.

If, on the contrary, an irremovable fixing is decided, we start by threading the rod 8 of a fixing device, from top to bottom, in the interval between two main flat parts 1 and 2 of a corrugation, and the other crosspiece 7, then the fixing device is secured to the post 5 using the collar.

If one wishes to place the panel obliquely, as shown in FIG. 3, the relative position of the post 5 and of the rod 8 is modified by loosening the screw 14 so as to allow the proper play of the iron 9 relative to the collar.
