Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a foam-forming component for fire-extinguishing foam compositions and to a fire-extinguishing foam composition containing the foam-forming component.
To extinguish fires the use of fire extinguishing foam agents is also known, which consists of a foam-forming component, an anti-freeze component, possibly a foam stabilizer and a solvent, such as Water exist and in which a highly effective shielding of the oxygen supply to the fire object is achieved on the basis of proteins or surfactants. Hydrolysed proteins are used as foaming agents e.g. Protein hydrolyzates, possibly combined with fluorosurfactants or surfactants used at all. Wildfires can also be fought alone with water film-forming foaming agents (AFFF).
