Description

The present invention generally relates to a suction device usable on at least one level of a building.

It essentially relates to a suction device of the type comprising a suction nozzle held in the hand and connected by a flexible hose to a suction pipe itself connected to a centralized suction manifold.

The invention finds particular application in the industrial cleaning of buildings or buildings with several floors, such as for example the internal cleaning of offices and premises.

A 3 011 201.A suction device is known which can be used on at least one level of a building. This device consists on the one hand, in connecting to a vertical centralized suction manifold, one or more suction sub-collectors equipped with suction outlets which are installed in fixed parallel fashion, at each level of the building, and on the other hand, to connect a flexible pipe, successively to each of the suction outlets of the same sub-collector, in order to ensure the suction over the entire surface of the level considered. Each sub-collector has fixed suction outlets. Thus, a suction nozzle and its accessories such as a soil sensor or a brush, can be connected to one of these suction mouths by means of the flexible and rollable hose, see US-A 3,011 201.

However, such a suction device, comprising suction hoods at a fixed position on a given level of the building, requires the installation of sub-collectors over a great length, on the horizontal plane of each level of the building. This installation is carried out during the construction and layout of the building or building.

In addition, the large number of suction outlets implies a greater risk of blockage or leakage. In addition, any repair or maintenance of the sub-collectors and their suction outlets leads to a partial dismantling of the installation by level, which is long and inconvenient.

Furthermore, such a suction device requires a lot of manipulation for the user, who must connect and disconnect the flexible hose on the various mouths as and when cleaning the surface portions by suction. In addition, this suction device forces the user to move within a limited working radius when the flexible hose is connected to a suction mouth of a given sub-collector.

The object of the present invention is to overcome all of the aforementioned drawbacks in the case of a conventional suction device, by eliminating the installation of one or more sub-collectors arranged on the same level of a building, while allowing aspiration on the entire surface considered of this same level.

The suction device according to the invention fulfills a function identical to a traditional suction device and also makes it possible to create a fictitious suction mouth which is movable at any location on the level of the building.

The solution according to the present invention, to solve this technical problem, consists of a suction device usable on at least one level of a building, of the type comprising a suction nozzle held in the hand and connected by a flexible hose. to a suction pipe itself connected to a centralized suction manifold, characterized in that at least the suction pipe is preferably automatically windable on a mobile winder device mounted on a vehicle and driven by the movement of the latter, the suction line being disconnectable from said manifold.

By means of such a mobile winding device, where the suction line is automatically wound up, which itself is connected to a centralized suction manifold, a mobile suction mouth is then created.

This suction device, due to its mobility, makes it possible to perform suction on the entire surface of the level concerned without any operation of connection and disconnection of the flexible pipe on the suction pipe. Consequently, all the problems existing with the previously known suction devices are eliminated.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the aforementioned winding device is driven by the manual movement of the vehicle.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the flexible pipe is itself windable, preferably automatically, on another winding device associated with the first.

According to an advantageous characteristic, each winding device comprises a rotary drum, preferably cylindrical with a vertical axis, and means for automatically guiding the winding of the flexible pipe or of the suction line on the drum.

According to another advantageous characteristic, the aforementioned vehicle is a carriage on which each winding device is mounted and the movement of an associated drum is controlled by the rotation of at least one carrying or driving wheel of said carriage, preferably so selectively disengageable.

According to a second embodiment, the suction device usable on at least one level of a building, is characterized in that it comprises at least one electric motor for driving a driving wheel of the vehicle controlled by means control, preferably push-button, and in that the aforementioned winding device of the suction line is driven by an electric motor, also controlled by the control means, in such a way that the winding speed or the progress of the suction line is related to the speed of movement of the vehicle.

According to another characteristic of the second embodiment, the device comprises two control means, one for controlling the electric motor driving the vehicle in a direction of rotation of forward travel of the vehicle and for simultaneously controlling the motor. electric drive of the winding device in a direction of rotation of unwinding of the suction line, the other, to control the electric motor for driving the vehicle in a direction of rotation towards the rear of the vehicle and for simultaneously controlling the electric motor for driving the take-up device in the direction of rotation for winding the suction line.

According to still another advantageous characteristic of this second embodiment, the device comprises an electric motor controlled by a control means preferably with a push button, and ensuring the drive of the hose reel device in the winding direction.

Referring to Figure 1, the suction device, manually operable, is located on a level 1 of a building. This device is mobile over the entire surface of level 1 and is connected to a fixed installation in the building.

The fixed installation comprises a vertical collector 2 of centralized suction, which extends substantially over the height of the building, necessary to serve all the levels thereof, and a conventional suction installation 3 which is located below building floor, and to which the vertical collector 2 is fixed. This collector 2 has a suction mouth 4 on each level or floor of the building.

The suction device according to the invention is in the form of a vehicle 5 which can be moved manually.

Cette dernière est elle-même reliée au collecteur vertical 2 d'aspiration centralisée, par l'intermédiaire de la bouche d'aspiration 4.It comprises a suction nozzle 6 held in the hand and connected by a flexible pipe 7 to a suction pipe 8. The latter is itself connected to the vertical collector 2 of centralized suction, via the mouth suction 4.

The suction nozzle 6 can be equipped at its free end with a soil sensor 9 or with various accessories such as squeegees or brushes.

The suction line 8 is preferably automatically windable on a winding device mounted on the vehicle 5. Thus when moving the vehicle in stages, moving away from the suction mouth 4, the suction line takes place gradually in order to allow aspiration over the entire level per portion of the surface thereof.

The suction line 8, which can be disconnected from the centralized vertical collector 2, is very long: for example between around 10 and 40 meters, and preferably between 20 and 30 meters. The flexible pipe 7 has a length for example of around 10 meters. The latter makes it possible to vacuum a given portion of surface and to carry out internal cleaning of offices or premises.

The manually movable vehicle can be rolling such as a cart or sliding such as a sled.

Figure 2 shows the mobile suction device according to the invention, in the form of a carriage.

As shown in Figure 2, the carriage comprises two cylindrical drums 10 and 11 which are each with a vertical axis 12 and 13 and supported on a chassis 14 preferably provided with a lining intended to absorb shocks and which leaves no trace when the vehicle hits the walls of the building. Referring to Figure 4, vertical uprights 15 connect the frame 14 to a preferably tubular handle 16 which surrounds the two drums 10 and 11. When the suction device does not work, the tubular handle 16 can receive the nozzle d suction 6, which facilitates the storage of the device.

The chassis is equipped with five wheels. Two pairs of supporting wheels 17 and 18 are located respectively at the opposite ends of the chassis 14. These wheels 17 and 18 are advantageously orientable. Furthermore, a driving wheel 19 rolling on the ground 1 is situated under the middle part of the chassis 14 and is not orientable but has its axis perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the chassis 14.

Ainsi, l'utilisateur peut déplacer le chariot manuellement, par traction ou en le poussant, au moyen de la poignée tubulaire 16.Thus, the user can move the carriage manually, by pulling or pushing it, by means of the tubular handle 16.

Cette dernière permet de bien amorcer l'enroulement en hélice de la conduite d'aspiration 8.Referring to Figures 2, 3 and 4, the winding device on which is wound the suction line 8, further comprises the rotary drum 10 with vertical axis 12, a bar 20 parallel to the axis 12 of the drum 10. This bar 20 is positioned on the frame 14 of the suction device as a function of the winding diameter of the suction pipe 8 and is externally spaced from the side wall 22 of the drum 10. The vertical bar 20 is provided with a roller idler rotary 24 for guiding the suction pipe 8. This roller 24 is mounted to slide freely on the vertical bar 20. The suction pipe is then helically wound in at least one layer, in particular with contiguous turns, around the drum 10, while being guided by the roller 24 which slides up or down the bar 20 depending on the winding or unwinding of the suction line 8. To facilitate the winding of the suction line, the drum 10 may include, in its lower part, a helical groove. The latter makes it possible to properly initiate the helical winding of the suction line 8.

More specifically, the drum 10 is driven by the wheel 19 of the carriage by means of a friction transmission system which is composed as follows : a driven friction wheel 26, driven by the driving wheel 19 rotating while rolling on the ground, is in friction contact with a plate or a crown 27 forming the base of the drum 10. The driving of the driven wheel 26 by the wheel 19 is done by means of a transmission comprising a belt 28 passing over two pulleys 26 and 30 coaxially integral respectively with the wheels 19 and 26.

This transmission system is selectively clutchable or disengageable respectively by tensioning and relaxing the transmission belt 28. The tensioning causing the driving of the driven wheel 26 while the relaxation of the belt 28 causes the sliding thereof. ci on the pulleys 29 and 30 so that the driven wheel 26 is not driven. The tensioner and regulator device comprises a lifter 31 mounted tilting at an intermediate point on a horizontal axis 32 and one end of which, located in the vicinity of the upper or lower strand of the belt 28, for example above the upper strand, carries a roller 33, roller or shoe capable, by tilting the lifter in one direction or in the opposite direction, to move away from said strand to relax the belt 28 or to come into contact and to press on said strand to tension the belt 28. The control of the spreader 31 can be manual or preferably by means of a pedal 34 carried by the end of a tilting bent lever 35 mounted at an intermediate point on a horizontal axis 36 and the other end of which is movably connected to the free end of the lifter 31. To this end, the end of the lever 35 slides in a guide slide 37 secured to the lifter 31.

To engage, the operator presses on the pedal 34 with his foot to lower it to the position shown in solid lines. This lowering causes the lifter 31 to pivot in the opposite direction of clockwise rotation in FIG. 2 so that the roller 33, roller or shoe, comes to press on the belt 28 so as to tension it sufficiently to drive the wheel. driven 26. In this engaged position, the lever arm 35 bent, preferably at right angles, will be in a substantially vertical position so that its upper end 38 constitutes a top dead center thus blocking the lifter 31 in its tensioning position. To disengage the drive system, the operator raises the pedal 34 from the substantially horizontal low position upwards to the extreme high position shown in dotted lines in FIG. 2, thereby causing the lifter 31 to tilt in the direction of rotation. clockwise, which relaxes the belt 28 by causing it to slide on the pulleys 29 and 30.

According to an alternative embodiment, the friction transmission system can be replaced by a positive drive transmission system by gears or by a system of pulleys and belts or chains, with associated declutching device.

With reference to FIGS. 2, 3 and 4, the other winding device on which the flexible pipe 7 is wound, comprises the rotary drum 11 with a vertical axis 13 and a bar 21 parallel to the axis 13 of the drum 11. Similarly at the first winding device, this bar 21 is positioned on the chassis 14 of the carriage as a function of the winding diameter of the flexible pipe 7 and is externally spaced from the side wall 23 of the drum 11. The vertical bar 21 is also provided with a idler rotary roller 25 for guiding the flexible pipe 7. This roller 25 is mounted to slide freely on the vertical bar 21. The flexible pipe is wound helically in at least one layer, in particular with contiguous turns, around the drum 11. The roller 25 while sliding along the vertical bar 21, makes it possible to guide the winding or unwinding of the flexible pipe 7. Similarly here, to facilitate the winding of the flexible pipe, the drum 11 may include, in its lower part e, a helical groove which serves to initiate the helical winding of the flexible pipe 7.

With reference to FIG. 4, this winding device comprises unlockable locking means for rotating the drum 11. These locking means are in the form of a self-locking brake which consists of a pad 39 which comes into rubbing contact with the plate 40 forming the base of the drum 11. A rocking lever 41 is mounted on a horizontal pivot 42 and comprises at one of its ends, the pad 39 ensuring braking by friction contact of the plate 40, and, at its opposite end, a pedal 43. In addition, the blocking system comprises a return spring 44 acting on the lever 41 to constantly urge it towards the braking position (contact of the pad 43 with the plate 40 of the drum 11). By lowering the pedal 43, the shoe 39 moves away from the plate 40 of the drum 11. The drum 11 is then released and free to rotate for the unwinding of the flexible pipe 7. When no traction is exerted on the flexible pipe 7, the brake is applied continuously. The drum 11 is therefore blocked automatically when the user sucks in by means of the flexible hose 7 partially unwound. When the user unrolls the flexible pipe 7 by simple pull, the brake is then released automatically by tilting the lever 41 in the direction of rotation of the needles of a watch in FIG. 4 and any untimely initiation of rotation of the drum 11 in the winding direction causes the automatic blocking of the drum 11 by applying the brake.

The return system consists on the one hand of a doll 45 coaxially integral with the plate 40 of the rotary drum 11, and on the other hand of a relatively long elastic cord 46 simple or multiple (of the "Sandow" type), of which one end is attached to the headstock 45 at an attachment point 47 and the other end of which is fixed to the chassis of the carriage after having passed one or more times over four idler pulleys 48 mounted respectively at the four corners of the chassis 14 on axes 49 substantially parallel to the axis 12 of the drum 11.

Le tuyau flexible 7 s'enroule alors automatiquement sur le tambour 11.Referring to the diagram shown in Figure 5, the cord 46 passes around the four pulleys 48 (cord shown in solid lines). According to an alternative embodiment, the cord 46 passes around three pulleys (cord shown in "mixed" line or in "broken" line). According to Figure 5, the operation of the reminder system is as follows. When the flexible pipe 7 is wound on the drum 11, the cord 46 is in the relaxed position, that is to say that it undergoes only an initial pre-stress. As soon as the operator manually unrolls the flexible pipe 7, by simple pulling, in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 5, the drum 11 is rotated in an anticlockwise direction in FIG. 5. From this fact, the doll 45 is also driven integrally in the same direction, which causes the winding of the cord 46 on this doll 45. Thus, the cord 46 is stretched by causing an elastic reaction of return of said cord in the opposite direction on the drum 11. Then, when the operator lowers the pedal 43 shown in FIG. 4 (the pad 39 moving away from the plate 40), the drum 11 is released and driven automatically in the winding direction by the relaxation of the elastic cord 46. The flexible pipe 7 is then automatically wound up on the drum 11.

According to an alternative embodiment, the elastic return member may be in the form of a return spring.

Ces joints tournants 51 et 52 sont respectivement coaxiaux des axes verticaux 12 et 13 de rotation des tambours cylindriques 10 et 11.With reference to FIGS. 2 and 3, the flexible pipe 7 is connected to the suction pipe 8 by a connection tube 50 which includes rotary joints 51 and 52 which are vacuum tight. These rotary joints 51 and 52 are respectively coaxial with the vertical axes 12 and 13 of rotation of the cylindrical drums 10 and 11.

The cylindrical drums 10 and 11 are hollow. Their interior volumes 53 and 54 constitute storage spaces for cleaning and / or suction utensils such as floor sensors, brushes, rags, cleaning products and others. These volumes can also constitute a storage space for a garbage bag into which the user will pour, for example, the contents of the office baskets.

According to Figures 1 to 5, the operation of the suction device usable on at least one level is as follows.

First, the user sets up the mobile carriage 5 on a given level 1 of the building. It then connects the free end of the suction pipe 8 to the suction mouth 4 which is arranged on the vertical centralized suction manifold.

Then, depending on the portion of the surface that the user wishes to vacuum, the carriage 5 is moved manually using the tubular handle 16. However, the movement of the carriage 5 takes place by translation of the entire device suction. Such a displacement causes, by means of the friction transmission system, the rotation of the drum 10 on which the suction pipe 8 is wound. Thus, the suction pipe 8 takes place without traction by straight section relative to the movement of the carriage .

The winding of the suction line 8 is carried out according to the same principle.

It is also possible to move the carriage 5 without rotating the drum 10, that is to say without causing the unwinding or winding of the suction line 8. It is then enough to raise the pedal 34 to disengage the transmission system.

Ce dispositif de débrayage permet à l'utilisateur de changer de niveau ou d'étage, ou encore de ranger l'appareil après l'avoir débranché de la bouche d'aspiration 4 du collecteur vertical d'aspiration centralisée 2.This declutching device allows the user to change level or stage, or even to store the device after having disconnected it from the suction mouth 4 of the vertical central suction manifold 2.

Le déroulement se fait manuellement en tirant simplement l'extrémité libre du tuyau flexible 7.In a second step, once the user has chosen the portion of surface he wishes to vacuum, he leaves the carriage in the stopped position and then manually unrolls the flexible pipe 7 which is wound on the drum 11. The unwinding is done manually by simply pulling the free end of the flexible pipe 7.

When the user has unwound a sufficient length of flexible hose 7, the brake is applied automatically. Thus, the user can work within a given radius.

The suction is advantageously carried out when the flexible pipe 7 is equipped at its end with a suction nozzle 6 extended by a soil sensor.

When the user has finished sucking up a portion of the surface, he releases the self-locking brake, by pressing on the pedal 43 which causes the elastic return member to relax, which causes the automatic winding of the flexible pipe 7 by rotation of the drum 11, before moving the mobile carriage 5.

Les éléments identiques à ces deux modes de réalisation portent les mêmes références et ne seront pas décrits de nouveau.FIGS. 6 and 7 illustrate the second embodiment of the device according to the invention which differs from the first embodiment in that the vehicle 5 and the two winding devices are driven by electric motors in the manner described above. below. The elements identical to these two embodiments bear the same references and will not be described again.

The device according to the second embodiment preferably comprises two electric motors 55 and 56 with direct current and with speed reducers integral with the chassis 14 and arranged symmetrically on either side of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. Each geared motor 55, 56 drives, for example via a friction wheel 57, a driving wheel 55a, 56a of the vehicle. This transmission can also be done by a positive drive transmission system by gears, belts or chains.

The device further comprises a direct current electric motor 58 for driving the drum 10 around which the suction pipe 8 is wound. This motor is connected to the drum 10 via, for example a friction wheel 59 integral with the motor drive shaft, and in con tact for example rubbing with the plate 27 forming the base of the drum 10. The motor 58 is fixed to an inclined plate 60 integral with the chassis 14 and at an adjustable angle of inclination so as to moderate the contact force of the friction wheel 59 under the plate 27. The transmission from the motor 58 to the drum 10 can also be done by a positive drive transmission system by gears, belts or chains.

Bien entendu, les vitesses de déplacement vers l'avant ou vers l'arrière du véhicule sont en relation appropriée respectivement avec les vitesses d'enroulement et de déroulement de la conduite d'aspiration 8 sur le tambour 10.Advantageously, the electric motors 55, 56; 58 are controlled simultaneously by two control members 61 and 62 preferably with two push-buttons, one 61 putting the motors 55, 56 into service; 58 so as to drive the drive wheel 55a, 56a in a direction corresponding to the forward movement of the vehicle, that is to say, moving it away from the suction mouth 4 and so as to drive the drum 10 in the direction of unwinding of the suction line 8, the other 62 putting the motors 55, 56 into service; 58 so as to drive the drive wheel 55a, 56a in an opposite direction corresponding to the rearward movement of the vehicle, that is to say of bringing it towards the suction mouth 4 and so as to cause the drum 10 in the winding direction of the suction line 8. Of course, the forward or rearward travel speeds of the vehicle are in appropriate relation to the winding and unwinding speeds of the vehicle respectively. suction line 8 on the drum 10.

The device also comprises a control member 63 preferably with a push button enabling the electric motor 58 to be controlled in the direction of winding of the suction pipe 8 and this independently of the control members 61 and 62. This therefore allows the user to wind the suction line 8 without putting the motors 55 and 56 into service.

The device is further equipped with a direct current electric motor 64, allowing the drum 11 to be driven around which the flexible pipe 7 is wound. This motor is connected to the drum 11 by means of, for example, a wheel. friction 65 secured to the drive shaft of the motor 64 and in rubbing contact with the plate 40 forming the base of the drum 11. The motor 64 is also fixed to an inclined plate 66 secured to the chassis 14, and with an adjustable angle of inclination so as to moderate the contact force of the friction wheel 65 under the plate 40. The transmission from the motor 64 to the drum 11 can also be done by a transmission system with positive drive by gears, belts or chains. The electric motor 64 is put into service by a control member 67 preferably with a push button to drive the drum 11 in the direction of winding of the flexible pipe 7.

Avantageusement, les organes de commande 61, 62, 63 et 67 sont logés dans une console de commande 68 solidaire de la poignée 16.Advantageously, the control members 61, 62, 63 and 67 are housed in a control console 68 secured to the handle 16.

La figure 8 représente le schéma électrique permettant à l'aide des organes de commande 61, 62, 63 et 67 de commander les moteurs 55, 56, 58 et 64, à la manière expliquée ci-dessus.FIG. 8 represents the electric diagram allowing using the control members 61, 62, 63 and 67 to control the motors 55, 56, 58 and 64, in the manner explained above.

As can be seen from this figure, the control member 61 when closed, excites relays R 1 and R 2 which close contact groups Ci and C 2 respectively to supply the motors 55, 56 and 58 so as to move towards the 'before the vehicle 5 and simultaneously unwind the suction line 8.

De même, lorsque l'organe de commande 62 est fermé, les groupes de contacts G, C2 sont fermés pour alimenter les moteurs 55, 56 et 58 suivant une polarité inverse pour entraîner le véhicule vers l'arrière et simultanément enrouler la conduite d'aspiration 8.Similarly, when the control member 62 is closed, the contact groups G, C 2 are closed to supply the motors 55, 56 and 58 in reverse polarity to drive the vehicle to the rear and simultaneously wind the line d suction 8.

The closure of the control member 63 excites the relay Rs which opens two contacts Cs and C 4 for supplying the motors 55 and 56 and which closes a contact C 5 for supplying the motor 58.

Ceci permet de déplacer vers l'avant ou vers l'arrière le véhicule 5 sans enroulement ou déroulement conco- mittant de la conduite d'aspiration 8.FIG. 8 also shows the presence of relay contacts Cs and C 9 which, when opened under the control of a control member preferably by selector or switch (not shown), make it possible to cut the power supply to the motor 58. This allows move the vehicle 5 forward or backward without winding or concomitant unwinding of the suction line 8.

It is not necessary to describe in more detail the circuit of Figure 8 which is easily understood by those skilled in the art.

Thus, the suction device according to the invention allows suction over the entire surface of the level considered, and is of practical, simple and rapid handling.
