  • the use of a reduced power, conventionally obtained in commercial household ovens by sequential emission of waves, would not make it possible to remedy this defect because it would lead to a movement of the lining detrimental to a correct coagulation of the blank: we would obtain also a scrambled egg texture.
  • the addition of a sufficient quantity of water to the upturned cover, according to (2) makes it possible to increase the load in the microwave enclosure for a fixed quantity of food. This regulates the rate of temperature rise at full power. This allows a better distribution of energy in space.
  • the water layer is mobile and provides a rapid heat transfer in comparison with the slow transfer in the more viscous medium of the lining. The effect obtained is a uniform temperature leading to correct coagulation of the blank before the filling comes to a boil.
  • the derivation by the water of the water bath of part of the microwave energy into conventional heat finally allows the heating of the precooked crust which, because it is dry, is not very sensitive to microwave radiation.

Claims (10)

1. Verpackung für Lebensmittelprodukte, die für ein Aufwärmen oder ein Kochen in einem Konvektionsofen, einem Infrarotofen oder einem Mikrowellenofen bestimmt sind, die eine Metallschale (1) und einen abnehmbaren Deckel (3), der der Schale angepaßt ist, aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel (3) aus einem für Mikrowellen transparenten Material besteht, daß der umgedrehte Deckel einen Behälter für eine Mikrowellen absorbierende Flüssigkeit (a) bildet, und zwar auf eine Weise, daß die Flüssigkeit die Schale (1) beim Aufwärmen oder beim Kochen umgibt, wenn einmal die Schale (1) innerhalb des umgedrehten Deckels (3) angeordnet ist.
2. Verpackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel (3) eine Frontfläche (4) und eine daran anschließende durchgehende Seitenwand (6) aufweist, die einen wasserdichten Hohlraum mit einer Geometrie, die der der Schale (1) ähnlich ist, bilden, und zwar so, daß mit der Schale (1) zusammen ein diese vollständig umgebender Raum definiert wird, der zur Aufnahme einer Mikrowellen absorbierenden Flüssigkeit bestimmt ist.
3. Verpackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Seitenwand (6) des Deckels (3) durch eine Mantelfläche verlängert wird, die sich in dem Bereich, der von der Frontfläche entfernt ist, erweitert.
4. Verpackung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Seitenwand des Deckels in dem an die Frontfläche (4) angrenzenden Teil leicht einspringt.
5. Verpackung nach Anspruch 3 oder 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Seitenwand (6) des Deckels (3) eine Schwächungslinie (8) oder Perforationslinie auf der Höhe ihrer Richtungsänderung aufweist.
6. Verpackung nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Seitenwand (6) des Deckels (3) Einschnitte (9) oder Perforationen in den Winkeln der Mantelfläche aufweist, die an der Schwächungslinie (8) oder der Perforationslinie anfangen, und daß der Teil der Wand (6), der von der Frontfläche (4) entfernt ist, biegsame Zungen bildet, die als Griffe zum Anfassen (10) dienen.
7. Verpackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel (3) auf seiner Frontfläche mit vorspringenden Erhöhungen (12,13) versehen ist, die Abstandshalter und Zentrierelemente für die Schale (1) bilden.
8. Verpackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel (3) aus einem auf seiner Innenseite wasserdicht gemachten Karton besteht.
9. Verpackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel (3) aus einem Kunststoffmaterial besteht.
10. Verpackung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel (26) aus einem wasserdicht gemachten Karton (27) besteht, der ein Reliefpapier umgibt, das die Flüssigkeit absorbiert, daß in einer Fläche des Kartons vorgestanzte Laschen (29) vorgesehen sind und daß diese Laschen (29), wenn sie hochgeklappt sind, dazu dienen, die Schale (1) zu zentrieren und die Ausbildung von Lichtbögen an den Ecken der Schale zu vermeiden.
