Description

The invention relates to a head cover for walls according to the preamble of claim 1, according to which essentially flat profile sections are used, which are fastened with holders mounted at intervals on the masonry.

Such covers are known from DE-OS-25 07 763. In this case, the partial profile section which is to be attached essentially vertically engages with its head part over the corresponding end of the other partial section, the first partial profile section being held by means of a displaceable support which can be fixed by screwing. The second partial profile section is clamped on one side in a holder and on the opposite side an arm of the holder engages in the opening of the angled edge in the sharply angled edge of the profile cover.

However, this cover has various disadvantages, ranging from the holder to be attached to the masonry to the assembly of the entire cover.

For example, it is perceived as a disadvantage that the vertical section section to be attached has to be carried out laboriously with a precise previous setting of the support engaging in the offset by means of a screw connection. Furthermore, it is to be regarded as disadvantageous that the support opposite this adjustable screw support is to be pushed into the sharply angled end of the partial profile section in order to fasten the cover. This represents a considerable assembly effort.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to improve a cover for walls with appropriate holders in such a way that the disadvantages mentioned above are avoided, ie the Manufacturing costs can be reduced and assembly is easier.

This object is achieved by the features in the characterizing part of claim 1, according to which the head cover for walls is characterized in that one leg of the holder can engage with its end latching into the associated offset; and that the other leg of the holder has at its end a leaf spring which in turn engages in the associated offset, which is fastened to the relevant holding leg in such a way that, due to its shape, it excludes a displacement in the longitudinal direction and transversely to it a projection which puts the leaf spring in the way having; and the holder has in its apex region a projection which engages in the inner of the two intermeshing bends there.

The subclaims represent advantageous design options of the invention.

Irrespective of the fact that, due to the present invention, hardly any noteworthy amounts of water of blown rainwater can penetrate into the butt joints of the vertically running profile sections and thus drainage of the dirty rainwater on the masonry is largely prevented, the present invention also offers the possibility of separate and therefore easier installation as well as that to manufacture the two parts from different and / or differently treated materials. The assembly on site is particularly facilitated by the latching option as given by the resilient measures in the claims. Furthermore, the production according to the invention is considerably facilitated and thus has a cost-saving effect. Finally, the measures according to the invention provide additional securing of the profile sections against lifting by wind.

According to FIG. 1, brackets 8 are attached at intervals to the wall 2 by means of screws 4 and dowels 6, of which one leg, 10, essentially horizontally and a second, 12, on the “visible side” of the wall 2, runs essentially vertically . Both legs, 10 and 12, engage with their ends in the bends 14 and 16 on the outer edges of two profiled sheets ("profile section parts") 18 and 20, which with further bends 22 and 24 located on their opposite edge in the apex area of the Interlocking bracket 8 to fit. The last-mentioned bends 22 and 24 form a collar 28 which projects upwards over the subsequent, essentially horizontal section of the sheet 18 and which is flush with the subsequent vertical section 30 of the sheet 20. Otherwise, the holders 8 engage with a protrusion 32 in the internal bend 22 on the sheet metal 18, while the same bend 22 engages in a corresponding recess 36 in the holder 8 with a further extreme bend 34.

As can be seen, the substantially horizontal sheet 18 is in the vicinity of its angled portion 14, i.e. on the side of the wall 2 facing away from the sheet 20, angled downward, the leg 10 in question the holder 8 essentially following this course. Both, however, in the area of the relevant bend 38 have a mutual distance to be reduced downwards, as a result of which the sheet 18 previously suspended in the apex area in the assembled holder 8 can easily snap into place with its offset 14 when pressed down.

The end of the second leg, 12, the holder 8 is formed by a leaf spring 40 made of stainless steel, which has a substantially W-shaped shape that is open from the bottom and can be seen in FIG running, clamped in the subsequent leg section.

The type of this clamping can be seen in three variants from Figures 3 to 5. Each is a clamp connection which is produced in a forked bend 42 of the leg end 12 by bending one of the fork legs. The bend 42 according to FIGS. 2, 3 and 5 is forked at its outer end, while according to FIG. 4 it is forked at its base. The flexible fork legs are labeled with 44, 46 and 48 in the different versions. For additional fixation of the leaf spring 40 against lateral displacement, protrusions 50 and 52, 54 are added at the end of one or both of the fork legs from FIGS. 3 and 4, while according to the variant of FIG. 5 one on the opposite side of the fork matching recess 56 is provided. Then, in order to prevent longitudinal displacement, the leaf spring 40 has bends or similar deformations 58 on both sides of its clamping at the bend 42, such as this can be seen from Fig. 2. The ends 60 of the leaf spring 40 are bent outwards and upwards in order to form a kind of sliding shoes in this way. Alternatively, the leaf spring 40 could also form a more or less closed loop (FIG. 6).

If the adjoining metal sheets 18 are attached to the legs 10 of the assembled holders 8 in the manner described above, then, offset to the metal sheets 18, the metal sheets 20 are first suspended with their bent portion 16 in the ends 60 of the leaf spring 40 and then deformed the leaf spring pushed upwards until its elbow 24 is able to slide over the elbow 22 of the sheet 18 in question. After pivoting towards the legs 12 of the holder 8, the metal sheets 20 can then be lowered, as a result of which the bends 22 and 24 come to lie one inside the other. The two sheets are thus locked together and preferably secured against unintentional lifting by the wind. The mutual displacement of their butt joints, in particular in connection with the collar 28 and the slightly sloping top of the wall, does not allow water to pass onto the visible side of the wall 2 provided with the metal sheets 20, which could cause plumes of dirt there.

The sheets 18 and 20 can be made of different materials and / or coated in different ways if necessary. For example, the sheet 20 can receive a plastic coating. On the other hand, it is also possible to replace one or the other sheets or both with drawn profiles, preferably plastic profiles.
