An overflow protection arrangement for swimming pools (7) comprising a protection wall (1) which stands up above a water overflow edge (6) of the rim (2) of the pool at locations with a raised water level, and a water drain (8) in the edge portion around the pool, characterised in that the protection wall (1) with the water overflow edge (6) forms a drainage gap (5) which throttles the overflow of water when the water level is raised and which is communicated with the water drain (8).

Description

The invention relates to an overflow protection wall for swimming pools.

In today's swimming facilities, attractions such as bays and flow channels are often installed. When the flow devices are actuated, the centrifugal force increases the water level at the radially outer edges of these pool parts. The water runs over and must be drained through the water drainage device, which is arranged around the pool edges. As a result, more water has to be fed into the basin to compensate for the increased water consumption. In addition to the additional consumption of water, there is additional consumption of energy for cleaning and heating the water.

According to the invention, this is remedied in that places where elevated water levels occur, in particular on the outside of the bend of flow channels, a protective wall extending above the level around the pool is provided, which throttles the water overflow caused by the increased water level.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the overflow protection wall can be designed so that the throttle gap is adjustable as well as in such a way that the overflow protection wall next to the pool edge can be lowered into the ground and can only be extended depending on the level of the water level. By attaching a buoyancy or expansion body to the underside of the retractable overflow protection wall, the retraction and extension process as well as the adjustment of the necessary extension height can be regulated automatically depending on the water level.

The extension can take place both by a pivoting movement and by a lifting movement.

It is also conceivable to use the overflow wall in the overflow channel, to guide it in an adjustable height and to install a grille on its top, in which additional overflowing water flows through the overflow protection wall.

The savings in water and energy, as well as a more even utilization of the cleaning systems, are advantageous, as a result of which they can be dimensioned smaller, since no configuration for otherwise occurring peak loads is necessary.

The invention can also be used for repairs in the foundation of sunken pools, the upper edge of which is no longer in a horizontal plane.

Die Erfindung wird anhand nachstehender Zeichnungen beschrieben. The invention is described with reference to the following drawings.

Es zeigen:

  • Fig. 1 eine erfindungsgemäße Überlaufschutzwand.
  • Fig. 2 den erfindungsgemäßen Einbauplatz bei einem Becken.
Show it:
  • Fig. 1 an overflow protection wall according to the invention.
  • Fig. 2 shows the installation location according to the invention in a basin.
  • Fig. 3 is a vertically pivoted, depending on the level of the water adjustable version in the retracted un d raised state.
  • Fig. 4 is a translationally liftable and lowerable by expansion body.

The protective wall 1 is fastened next to the pool edge 2 with a screw connection 3. By moving in the bore 4, the gap 5, which is formed by the water overflow edge 6 of the basin 7, can be turned in as required be put.

The overflow protection wall is located at the locations of the basin where the flow forces cause the water to overflow. 3 shows an exemplary embodiment of a movable overflow protection wall. The segment-shaped overflow protection wall 10 is pivotally mounted about an axis 12 arranged in the base 11. The bottom has a trench-shaped recess 14 in which the movable overflow protection wall 10 rests at normal water level. The water drainage also takes place through this trench-shaped recess 14. A buoyancy body 15 is arranged on the underside of the segment-shaped overflow protection wall 10. If the water level rises, the segmental overflow protection wall is raised by the flowing water and prevents overflow.

The expansion body 20 is acted upon when the flow is switched on and thus lifts the overflow protection wall 21, which is installed in the overflow channel 22 and slides in the guides 23, 24. Additional overflowing water flows through the grid 25 and the overflow protection wall 21.

The invention is not limited to the example shown. The control systems can also be exchanged or combined and used in wave pools or whirlpools.
