Claims (11)

1. 5. Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the said wheel (2) has a coating of non-stick material on the annular (6) and(or osculating (8) surfaces suitable for interacting respectively with the lateral (7) and(or groove bottom (9) surfaces of the said elongate element.
6. Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the said elongate element (1) is applied against the said wheel by at least one press roller (3).

Device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the coating means (4) comprise two mixing rollers (11, 12) between which adhesive (15) is disposed, at least one (12) of the rollers being coated with adhesive on one part of its external surface, the said wheel (2) being in contact with the said roller (12) coated with adhesive.

Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the said element (1) has several lateral surfaces (7) parallel to each other and in that the said wheel (2) has as many lateral annular surfaces (6), suitable for interacting with the said lateral surfaces (7) of the elongate element, as are required for sizing.

Device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that at least one of the said lateral surfaces (7) of the said elongate element (1) is plane and in that at least one of the said annular surfaces (6), suitable for interacting with the said lateral surfaces (7) of the element, is substantially plane and perpendicular to the shaft (5) of the wheel (2).

Device for sizing an elongate element (1) having a longitudinal axis and a groove bottom surface (9) required to be sized, characterised in that the said device comprises a wheel (2) and coating means (4), the said wheel (2) having an osculating circumferential surface (8) interacting with the said groove bottom surface (9), the said coating means comprising two mixing rollers (11, 12) suitable for producing a film of adhesive, one part of the film of adhesive being transferred from one of the mixing rollers to the said osculating circumferential surface (8) of the said zone and from the said osculating surface (8) onto the said groove bottom surface (9) by the contact of the said wheel (2) on one (12) of the two mixing rollers.
11. Method for sizing an elongate sectional element (1) having a longitudinal axis and comprising at least one lateral surface (7) parallel to the said longitudinal axis, characterised in that it comprises the following steps:

- at least the said external circumference of at least one of the annular surfaces (6) of the wheel (2) is coated with adhesive, and
- the adhesive is applied to the elongate sectional element (1) by making the external circumference of the said annular surface (6) interact with the said lateral surface (7) of the elongate element (1).
