Description

The present invention relates to a device for supporting radiators, in particular intended for radiators with circulation of fluid such as water or oil.

A radiator support is known, which consists of a particular rod to be inserted into the support wall on which the radiator is mounted. However, such a device does not allow any height adjustment of the radiator and does not allow correction in the event of inappropriate drilling.

Also known is a radiator support device which consists of a bracket whose base applied against the wall essentially corresponds to the height of the radiator which rests on a lower leg and which is held in vertical position by a horizontally adjustable element, integral with an upper leg. However, this device is relatively expensive since it has a relatively large base which consumes a lot of material which does not participate in the recovery of efforts. Furthermore, it is necessary to dismantle the radiator with a view to correcting its position, since this adjustment is effected by means of oblong holes made in said base which can slide relative to the screw or the puller. wall fixing base.

Document LU-A-67085 discloses a set of parts intended to constitute height-adjustable radiator supports. The support comprises a push-in tube fitted with a bore at its free end for the passage of an L-shaped lug intended to carry the radiator and fixed in the push-in tube, using a screw and a nut.

It also has a movable element relative to the fixed wall element, provided with a notch 11 intended to receive the radiator or an element thereof, said movable element in a movement essentially parallel to the planes containing the fixed wall element globally affecting the shape of a U; moreover, the base of the mobile element comprises a perforation in a nut 6 and a bolt 10 which passes through said perforation of the base of the mobile element is retained by the corresponding thread of the nut 6.

The object of the invention is to provide a radiator support of simple construction, inexpensive and easy to mount on the construction elements, in particular without breaking them. It must allow a height adjustment of the radiator without it being necessary to disassemble it to effect said adjustment.

It is found that the device according to the present invention is particularly simple and relatively inexpensive since it does not require much material.

In addition, the radiator being supported by the mobile element, itself retained by the bolt housed in the nut whose guide tabs take up the force, it is possible to adjust the height of the radiator by simply adjusting the position of the movable member relative to the fixed member using said bolt and said nut. This adjustment is therefore particularly simple and easy since said bolt is easily accessible. Furthermore, said adjustment can be made while the radiator is always supported by the support according to the present invention.

Advantageously, the fixed wall element comprises stabilizing lugs which prevent the fixed wall element from tilting.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the radiator support according to the present invention, the central axis of the oblong holes made in the uprights of the mobile element is spaced from the edge of the corresponding upright facing the fixed wall element of a distance which corresponds substantially to the distance separating the center of the perforations made in the uprights of the fixed wall element from the base thereof. A particularly stable and rigid assembly is thus obtained.

It has been found that the wall element can be fixed by means of a relatively small diameter screw, if the base of the fixed wall element has a relatively small perforation. A screw of reduced size compared to the screws or lag screws used in the prior art is sufficient to take up the necessary efforts, since it is not necessary to provide an adjustment of the fixed wall element relative to the fixing wall to adjust the position of the radiator to be supported. It also results in the operator being able to drill a smaller diameter in the fixing wall, which is simpler to carry out, which can be carried out with more precision and which prevents the rupture of the construction elements constituting the wall of support, as is often the case with supports conforming to the state of the art.

L'encoche pratiquée dans l'élément mobile et destinée à recevoir le radiateur ou un élément de celui-ci est évidemment adaptée la forme du radiateur ou d'un élément de celui-ci.The notch formed in the movable element and intended to receive the radiator or an element thereof is obviously adapted to the shape of the radiator or of an element thereof.

  • ― la figure 1 est une vue schématique de profil du support de radiateur conforme à l'invention;
Other details will appear more clearly on reading the description below given in support of the drawings in which:
  • - Figure 1 is a schematic profile view of the radiator support according to the invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic front view of the radiator support according to the invention, and
  • - Figures 3 and 4 show nuts used according to the invention.

In the figures, identical reference marks relate to identical or analogous elements.

According to the present invention, the support 1 comprises a fixed wall element 3 in the shape of a U intended to be fixed to a wall or a wall of dwellings by means of a screw 5 passing through a perforation 7 formed in the base 9 of said fixed wall element 3. The uprights 11 and 13 thereof each have a perforation 15 in which is each time housed a guide tab 17 of a nut 19.

The support 1 also comprises a movable element 21 in the shape of a U, the uprights 23 and 25 of which have an oblong hole 27, one opposite the other, the axis of which essentially corresponds to that of the perforation made in the uprights 11 , 13 of the fixed wall element. The base 29 of the movable element 21 has a perforation 31 through which a bolt 33 retained in the nut 19 passes.

Advantageously, the base of the mobile element is extended to form a notch 35 intended to receive the radiator to be supported or an element thereof. Preferably, the amounts of the movable element also extend decreasing in height, in order to strengthen the extension of the base. Advantageously, the notch contains a suitable protective part made of a synthetic material for example, which prevents damage to the radiator or to its coating during assembly.

The fixed wall element 3 can also be provided with stabilizing lugs 37 and 39 which ensure better stability of the support.

In order to prevent tilting movements of the movable element around the guide tabs 17 of the nut 19, the axis 41 of the oblong hole 27 is spaced from the edge of the upright facing the fixed wall element of a distance substantially equal to that which separates the center of the perforation 15 from the base 9 of the fixed wall element 3.

The nut 19 which retains the bolt 33 can have various shapes as shown in Figures 3 and 4. Other variants are also possible.

De manière analogue, le trou oblong 27 doit permettre, outre le réglage en hauteur du radiateur, le passage de l'écrou 19.It is obvious that, for assembly reasons, the perforations 15 made in the uprights 11 and 13 of the fixed wall element must be dimensioned so as to allow the passage of the nut 19. To do this, they can be rectangular, round, oblong or have any other suitable shape. Similarly, the oblong hole 27 must allow, in addition to the height adjustment of the radiator, the passage of the nut 19.

It is easily understood that the rotation of the bolt 33 in one direction or the other reduces or increases the distance between the nut 19 and the base 29 of the movable element 23 and thus allows an easy height adjustment of the position of the radiator. or of a radiator element housed in the notch 35. This adjustment can even be carried out when the radiator or a radiator element is housed in said notch 35, since the bolt 33 is easily accessible.

In particular in the case of a radiator whose disassembly was almost impossible if not particularly difficult because of the proximity of a window sill, when using conventional supports, the support according to the present invention proves to be particularly suitable since it allows the radiator to be lowered before tilting it forward, below said window sill.

It has been found that a support according to the present invention produced using a steel sheet having a thickness of 1.5 mm and fixed to the wall using a screw with a diameter of 6 mm supports a load of the order of 125 kg, which is more than enough in the case of conventional fluid circulation radiators. In the case of larger loads, supports can be used more robust or multiply the number of radiator supports.

It should also be noted that the mounting of the support according to the present invention is particularly easy, since the operator can drill at a relatively small diameter (6 mm) in the wall, which increases the precision and the speed. execution of the work and that it suffices to tighten a screw using a screwdriver rather than a lag screw using an appropriate key generally bulky. Furthermore, the height of the radiator is adjusted when it is supported by said supports.

To prevent any tilting of the movable element around the axis of the nut 19, said movable element may include a stabilization tab 40.

In order to minimize the play of the movable element in the direction of tilting around the axis of the nut, it is advantageous to provide that the oblong hole 27 has a width such that the nut 19 can slide along the longitudinal axis, that is to say corresponding substantially to the width of the guide tabs 17, but cannot rotate about its axis. As it is however necessary to tilt the nut 19 once it is introduced into the radiator support in order to put it in a position substantially perpendicular to the base 9, it is advantageous to provide an enlarged head 27 ′ to the oblong hole 27.

Les perforations 15 peuvent être conçues de manière analogue, les têtes 15′ et 27′ correspondant uniquement en vue du basculement de l'écrou 19, après son introduction (trous 15 et 27 étant l'un en face de l'autre).The perforations 15 can be designed in a similar manner, the heads 15 ′ and 27 ′ corresponding only for the tilting of the nut 19, after its introduction (holes 15 and 27 being one opposite the other).

The radiator support according to the present invention is suitable for mounting plate-shaped radiator elements but also for radiators with central fixing by means of stirrups, hooks or the like.
