Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the settlement and collection of money in coin-operated automatic machines, in which the cash sums exceeding a fixed minimum coin reserve are conveyed away outside the automatic machines via a coin-flow switch. The coins coming out of each automatic machine are separated according to coin types and are counted. The count values are added in a machine cash counter and, in parallel, in the stock counter of a central cash or coin-type collecting container. The separated and counted coins are then either separated according to coin types and fed to a central coin-type collecting container or are fed to a central cash container.

Description

The invention relates to a method for the billing and cashing of coin-operated machines, in which the amounts of money are counted and the amount accrued is fed to a device counter designed as a computer, and in which the cash amounts of the machines exceeding a specified minimum coin reserve are removed from these and a central collecting container are supplied as mixed money, with coin value-recognizing impulses being generated during coin issuance and fed to the computer, and a system for carrying out the method.

Vending machines in arcades, casinos and other vending machines have a typical circulation of money: Coins are required for the operation of the vending machines, but customers often do not have enough small change amounts, so that the operator always has to keep considerable amounts of change in stock. On the other hand, the machine sales of the aforementioned companies are only in the form of coins, which leads to considerable amounts of coins and problems in terms of cash registers. During the checkout, the machines usually have to be opened so that the operation of the machine in question must be interrupted. The checkout requires particularly trustworthy personnel. There are also special security-related problems with regard to theft and burglary, especially in the case of larger payment intervals, as well as the risk of robberies, etc. during the checkout process itself.

Vending machines must always have a minimum coin reserve. Additional cash amounts can be removed from the machine. Special devices such as those used in the DE-A-36 04 212 are described. If a plurality of machines have to be billed and cashed at one installation site, this is perceived as being extremely cumbersome and labor-intensive, with the risk of security and manipulation constantly being present.

According to GB-A-2 112 985, a coin-operated machine is known in which cash amounts exceeding the minimum coin reserve can be issued to an authorized person in whole or in part as mixed money by means of a coin conveyor. The amount spent is saved in the machine and can be documented by a receipt to be printed even after the coin has been withdrawn. It is also possible to provide remote access. However, there is still the disadvantage that manual operations are required for coin removal and transport, so that the security risk and the cumbersome handling of several devices to be maintained remain.

B. als Wechselgeld für Geldscheine ist nicht möglich.US-A-4310 749 describes a device by means of which coin money, paper money and paper tickets can be extracted into a central device from ticket machines arranged on buses. The data stored in the ticket machines is transferred to a central computer in the central device. In this device, the coin money extracted as mixed money is stored separately in a collection container according to the type of coin. A payout of coins e.g. B. as change for banknotes is not possible.

The object of the invention is to provide a method for the billing and cashing of a plurality of coin-operated machines in arcades, casinos and other machine configurations, by means of which the work and security requirements for billing and cashing can be optimized, the system being largely one of them Tamper-proof, central and include clear, meaningful billing system and should enable a change of banknotes into certain coins.

According to the invention, the object is achieved with regard to the method by the characterizing features of claim 1 and with respect to the system by the characterizing features of claim 2.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims and explained in more detail below using the example of the system shown schematically in the drawing.

The system 1 consists of three coin-operated machines 2, 3, 4, the z. B. can be slot machines. It is also possible to operate the system 1 with more machines, as indicated by the machine 5 as a follow-up machine. Each of the machines 2, 3, 4, 5 has a coin slot 6 and a payout 7 for winnings, Return and counterfeit money on. Each coin outlet 8 of the machines 2, 3, 4, 5 is assigned a coin sorting device 9, which has a coin type outlet 18 for each of the coin types that can be used in the operation of the machines 2, 3, 4. The coin type outlets 18 of the same coin type of different coin sorting devices 9 are each connected to a conveying device 23 which leads to a coin type collecting container 11 or cash register container 24. A coin payout device 15 is provided at each outlet of a coin type collecting container 11. The coin payment devices 15 are connected to the payment controller 20 of a bill changing device 16 and / or a withdrawal device 17 for coins. The bill changing device 16 has a bill receipt counter 9. A removal counter 30 is provided on each of the removal devices 17. Furthermore, each coin type collecting container 11 has an inventory counter 14. The inventory counter 14 is connected to the coin sorting devices 19 of the machines 2, 3, 4 5. The outputs of the coin payout devices 15 are connected via a coin diverter 33 to a conveyor device 10, by means of which removed coins can be brought into a payout tray 22. Via a conveying device 23, coins sorted by the coin sorting devices 9 of the machines 2, 3, 4, 5 are fed directly into a cash box 24, on which a stock counter 29 for the cash stock is arranged.

It is also possible to connect each coin sorting container 11 via a coin path switch 33 to an intermediate storage 26, in which, for example, a special coin roll packaging device 36 or the like can be provided. The packaged coin rolls can then be fed to a collecting container 25 via a further conveyor device 27. This version is particularly advantageous when the amount of coins generated during operation of the system 1 is so great that the coin-type collecting containers 11 often have to be emptied.

The payment controls 21 of the removal devices 17 can be actuated by means of a key switch 13, coding switch, a magnetic card or the like.

The conveyor devices 10, 23, 27 can be designed as belt conveyors, belt pocket conveyors, pneumatic conveyors or the like. In this case, downpipes 39, 38 are provided at the outputs of the coin type collecting containers 11 and the coin sorting devices 9, which extend to the conveying devices 10, 23, 27. Due to the possibility of being able to flexibly design the conveyor devices 10, 23, 17, it is possible to provide coin sorting container 11, coin collecting container 24 and intermediate storage 26 at a greater spatial distance from machines 2, 3, 4, 5, with different levels in can be used in the buildings.

It is advantageous to store the coin sorting container 11, the cash box 24 and possibly the collecting container 25 for coin rolls in a special security area 37 such as B. to provide a safe or a vault. The suitable design of a corresponding conveying device 10 makes it possible to guide coins to be paid out from the secured area 37 into the payment trough 22. In the areas in which the conveyor devices 10 break through the boundaries of the secured area 37, special motor-operated locking elements 32 such as locking slides can be provided, which lock the breakthroughs when the system 1 is shut down and thus ensure a secure partitioning of the area 37 which is closed in terms of safety technology. These locking elements 32 are expediently designed as quick-closing elements so that the area 37 can be safely and quickly blocked off for money in the event of danger.

The data outputs 28 of the machines 2, 3, 4, 5 can be connected to a central monitoring device. This makes it possible to forward an already internal detection of inserted amounts of money, number of games carried out, profit categories that have occurred as well as amounts of money paid out directly to the central monitoring device. In this case, the data outputs 28 can be the interfaces for evaluation printer connections present on machines 2, 3, 4, 5. A central data display can also take place in the central monitoring device.

It is also possible to arrange the coin sorting devices 9, coin type collecting containers 11, cash register containers 24, inventory counters 14 and possibly also the bank note changing device 16 in a safe-like cabinet. In this case, the machines 2, 3, 4, 5 can be integrated in the safe-like cupboard or can be suspended or set up on the cupboard. Such training enables a smaller number of machines 2, 3.4, the z. B. can still be operated by a player to summarize accounting and cash register technology. Even with such an arrangement, the minimum stock of coins to maintain the minimum coin reserve in the individual machines 2, 3, 4 is first ensured, which is done by means of coin quantities to be inserted into the machines 2, 3, 4. The coin amounts exceeding the minimum coin reserve are discharged via downpipes 18 when using a safe-like cabinet as described above for Appendix 1.
