Description

The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a known device has a device for feeding things, which consists of a revolving chain for feeding things and the chain is provided with uniformly arranged gripping clamps for the things to be bandaged. Corresponding tabs are provided for programming bandaging steps. Due to the finite spatial extent of these tabs, the bandaging steps are restricted in their choice. Automatic bandaging from the near beginning of things is not possible here.

The object of the invention is to provide a device according to the preamble of claim 1, which does not have the disadvantages mentioned above, which enables simple bandaging in any bandaging steps and bandaging lengths, requires shorter set-up times and has a high reproducibility in bandaging.

This object is solved by the characterizing part of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments emerge from the subclaims.

A particularly advantageous field of application of the invention is the programmed bandaging of flexible cables strands to wire harnesses. According to the characterizing part of claim 1, programmable bandaging is made possible by simple handling on the device.

By means of the rollers arranged vertically one above the other in the vicinity of the winding wheel, one being designed as a feed length measuring transducer and the other as a feed drive, twisting of things during bandaging is advantageously prevented.

In order to overcome the finite feed area of the feed slide, the roller feed drive takes over the further feed of things shortly before reaching the feed slide path end, the beginning of things being released by the holding device via a control.

A tape supply control device ensures that the taping process is stopped when a certain minimum tape roll diameter is reached, so that the taping can be continued without interruption by fitting a new tape roll.

The minimum diameter of the belt reel can be checked using a lever technology as well as a light barrier.

Another advantage is that the device has a tape cutting device that automatically cuts the tape after the end of a taping program or when a minimum tape roll diameter is reached.

Particularly precise tape cutting results from the fact that the tape cutting device with a vertical rotatable knife oriented to the band.

By means of an electrical program control, the device can be converted to another bandaging program in the shortest possible time using appropriate software. All movement elements of the device can also be specifically reprogrammed and logically linked with one another in the shortest possible time.

The invention is described in more detail using an exemplary embodiment.

A tape supply control device 18 is provided on the tape roll carrier 13, which serves to automatically end the taping process in good time before the end of the tape supply 17, and then to continue the taping process according to the program with a new tape supply 17 can.

Fig. 2 shows a side view of the feed device 7 in a bandaging start position. For this purpose, the feed carriage 8 is moved from its left, dashed rest position 19 with the holding device 9 into the winding wheel 12, the beginning of the things 20 to be taped being connected by means of the holding device 9. A tape 21 that is adhesive on one side is preferably suitable for bandaging. In this starting position, the rollers 10, 11 are so far apart that the feed carriage 8 can move unhindered into the starting position. 2 shows a plan view of the feed device 7 according to FIG. 3. For a programmed holding of the things 20 by means of the holding device 9, this is in operative connection with a controllable lifting cylinder 22, with which the holding device 9 can be controlled. As indicated by dashed lines, on the one hand the roller 11 is connected to a motor 23 and on the other hand the feed carriage 8 is connected to the motor 23 via a controllable coupling 24, which can also serve as a displacement drive 23ʹ. To check or measure the predetermined path, the feed carriage 8 can be provided with a digitized path length scale 25, which corresponds to the controller 2 by means of the optical sensor.

After the feed carriage 8 with the objects 20 has moved out of the area of the two rollers 10, 11 and the winding wheel 12, the two rollers 10, 11 move together in such a way that they are in contact with the elongated objects 20 such that the roller 10 as a transducer 10ʹ and on the other hand, the roller 11 acts as a feed drive 11ʹ. This position is shown in FIG. 4, the two rollers 10, 11 and the feed drive 11ʹ of the feed speed runs synchronously with the feed carriage 8 to the left in the direction of arrow 26.

A top view of the feed device 7 according to FIG. 4 is shown in FIG. 5.

If the maximum path length of the feed carriage 8 is reached without the bandaging length of things 20 having been reached, the holding device 9 is released from the lifting cylinder 22 according to the program, as a result of which things 20 fall down and now the feed drive 11ʹ takes over the feeding of things 20. This position is shown in FIG. 6.

A top view of the feed device 7 according to FIG. 6 is shown in FIG. 7.

Nach Beendigung des Schnitts wird die Bandabschneidvorrichtung 16 in umgekehrter Reihenfolge in die passive Position 27 (Fig. 8) von der Steuerung 2 gebracht.FIGS. 8 and 9 show a pneumatically operated tape cutting device 16, which is in the passive position (FIG. 9) outside the winding wheel 12. This position 27 is shown in FIG. 8. To cut the taping tape 21, the tape cutting device 16 is brought into the dashed position by the piston cylinder 28. A top view of this position is shown in FIG. 9. Then the band cutting device 16 is brought further into the dashed position via the piston cylinder 29. The band 21 is located in a slot 30, wherein a knife 32 oriented perpendicular to the band 21 and rotatable about an axis 31 is arranged and can be driven by a piston cylinder 33. This cut of the knife 32 about the axis 31 ensures a safe cut of the band 21. After completion of the cut, the tape cutting device 16 is brought into the passive position 27 (FIG. 8) by the controller 2 in the reverse order.

Eine kontaktlose Bandvorratskontrollvorrichtung 18 wird mittels einer Lichtschranke 45 erreicht, wobei einerseits der Bandroller 46 ein Lichtsender 47 und andererseits ein Lichtempfänger 48 angeordnet ist, der die Funktion eines Näherungsschalters 44 aufweist.10 and 11, a tape supply control device 18 is shown with a device 34 measuring the minimum tape roll diameter, which stops the taping process by means of a lever mechanism 35 when a predetermined minimum diameter is reached. The tape roll diameter is scanned by a roller 36 and, depending on the tape roll diameter, the lever 37 is moved over the fixed axis 38, as a result of which the lever 40 is pivoted via the axis 39 via the fixed axis 41 according to FIG Minimum diameter moves into a recess 43 and with another end activates a proximity switch 44, which in turn ends the taping process via the control 2. A contactless tape supply control device 18 is achieved by means of a light barrier 45, with on the one hand the tape roller 46 a light transmitter 47 and on the other hand a light receiver 48 which has the function of a proximity switch 44.

Weiterhin ist ein Drehgeber 54 vorgesehen, der die vorgegebene Umdrehungszahl des Wickelrades 12 mit der Vorschubeinrichtung 7 über den Motor 23 mittels eines Weglängenskalameßwertaufnehmers 25ʹ und des Vorschublängenmeßwertaufnehmers 10ʹ synchroniesiert.FIG. 13 shows a block diagram for the control of the device 1, the dashed / dotted lines represent compressed air lines 49, the dashed lines represent mechanical drives 50 and the solid lines represent control or signal paths 51 a compressed air generator 52, the motors 23, 53 and the tape supply control device 18 are connected. Furthermore, a rotary encoder 54 is provided, which synchronizes the predetermined number of revolutions of the winding wheel 12 with the feed device 7 via the motor 23 by means of a displacement length sensor 25ʹ and the feed length sensor 10ʹ.

The bandaging process is explained in more detail using the example of a cable harness 55 to be bandaged according to FIG. 14.

The arrows with a number indicate the order and direction of the bandaging process. The values x₁ to x₆ specify the respective bandaging length; with y₁ to y₄ the lengths not to be bandaged are specified.

Daran schließen sich die Arbeitsschritte 6 bis 8 gemäß der Fig. 17 bis 20 an.15, in a first step 1, the beginning of a tape 21 which is adhesive on one side is placed at the beginning of the wiring harness 55. After the protective cover (not shown) has secured the winding wheel 12, the bandaging process begins with a display of 0 mm and ends after a bandaging length of 1190 mm (= x₁). The tape 21 is then cut off automatically by a tape cutting device 16. In a second step 2, the wiring harness 55 is moved in the direction of the arrow with a feed of 180 mm in length (= y 1). Then the protective hood opens automatically for manual application of the beginning of the tape to the cable harness 55 (FIG. 16), so that after the protective hood is closed in a third step 3 the cable harness 55 is provided with a winding length of 210 mm (= x₂). After the automatic cutting of the tape 21, the protective hood opens automatically. A driver pliers (holding device 9) is brought into an initial position in order to connect the end of the wire harness or the beginning to the driver pliers (FIG. 17). This is followed by work steps 6 to 8 according to FIGS. 17 to 20.
