Abstract

The cover has a covering body (2) which extends without interruption over a circumferential surface (4) of the object (1) and consists at least partially of shrink film which is prestretched in the circumferential direction. <??>The intention is to achieve simple handling during opening and less manufacturing expenditure whilst maintaining unreduced cohesion strength of the covering body. Provided at least on one film edge (5a) is a pair of preformed intended tearing regions (7) which engage in the edge region (6a) of the film edge, are limited to this edge region in their engagement depth and are arranged with mutual spacing in the circumferential direction of the wrapped object (1). Said intended tearing regions have a reduced tearing and/or separation strength compared to the adjacent film regions. <IMAGE>
