Description

The invention relates to a heald frame device suitable for achieving a leno selvedge with lifting strands attached to opposite heald support rails and a half heald which is attached to a half shaft which is alternately controlled by the heald support rails.

As is known, a heald frame suitable for a leno selvedge consists of two lifting shafts equipped with heddle support rails, which alternately, i.e. back and forth, are moved, and the associated half shaft. The lifting strands, which guide the upright threads, are lined up on the heddle support rails. The half strand, which guides the leno thread, is pushed onto the half shaft. Since the half shaft is controlled by the heddle support rail, reversal of the movement of the half heddles takes place in the crossing position of the opposing heddle support rails, so that the half heddles only carry out half a stroke in comparison to the heddle support rail. As a result, the leno thread is alternately lifted into the compartment formed by the upright thread.

In a known heald frame of this type, the control of the half shaft with the attached half heddle is carried out by a so-called leno yoke, which essentially represents a frame which is in contact with the heddle support rails and is carried by a heddle support rail, whereby a spring is tensioned. If the heddle support rail runs back, the leno yoke remains connected to the heddle support rail, since the leno yoke is under spring tension. In the crossing position of the heddle support rails, the half shaft and thus the half heddles are carried along by the other heddle support rail.

However, the use of a rotary yoke is disadvantageous because it cannot be easily moved to any position on the heddle support rail, which is necessary, for example, in the case of fabrics of different widths.

The object of the invention is therefore to create a heald frame device which is suitable for a leno selvedge and which avoids these disadvantages. This is achieved according to the invention in that the half shaft is magnetically connected to the heddle support rail.

In detail, the design is such that the half-shaft has a slide provided with magnets, which is guided on rods which are connected to the synchronous strand support rails. This magnetic connection and the arrangement of the half-shaft on the rods ensure that the half-shaft and thus also the half-strand attached to it are properly guided. In addition, the half-shaft can be moved as desired.

If, for example, the heddle support rail makes a downward movement, the half shaft on the rod is also transported downwards. If the direction of movement of the heddle support rail reverses, then the half-shaft is taken up again as a result of the magnetic connection to the heddle support rail until the other heddle support rail brings about the opposite movement of the half-shaft again.

The design according to the invention also ensures that the half shaft only has half the stroke compared to the entire stroke of the heddle support rail because of the magnetic coupling with the heddle support rails. This measure significantly reduces wear on the lifting strands.

Due to the half stroke of the half heddle it is achieved that the half heddle does not pass through to the stop of the lifting heald and therefore does not strike this stop.

  • Fig. 1 zeigt die Webschaftvorrichtung von vorn;
  • Fig. 2 zeigt eine Seitenansicht im Schnitt gemäß der Linie II-II;
  • Fig. 3 zeigt eine Seitenansicht im Schnitt gemäß der Linie III-III;
An example of an embodiment is shown in the drawing:
  • Fig. 1 shows the heald frame device from the front;
  • Fig. 2 shows a side view in section along the line II-II;
  • Fig. 3 shows a side view in section along the line III-III;
  • 4 and 5 show perspective representations of the half shaft controlled by the heddle support rails.

As shown in FIG. 1 from the front, the heald frame device consists of the two lifting shafts 1 and 2, which perform an opposite movement using known means (not shown). The heddle support rails 3 and 4 are arranged on the lifting shafts and are connected to the lower heddle support rails 3a and 4a by shaft supports (not shown).

This means that if the heddle support rails 4, 4a make an upward movement, the heddle support rails 3, 3a execute a corresponding opposite movement. The lifting strands 5 and 6 are attached to the heddle support rails 3, 4 and 3a, 4a and are provided with corresponding openings (not shown) through which the upright threads are pulled. This makes it clear that with the reciprocal movement of the lifting shafts 1, 2, the upright threads each assume an open compartment or a closed compartment position in the corresponding position.

On the upper strand support rails 3, 4, a half shaft 7 is attached via clamping pieces 10 and 10a. The half shaft 7 has a sliding piece 8 which is guided on the rods 9 and 9a provided with the clamping pieces 10, 10a, which are connected to the heddle support rails. There are two rods 9, 9a provided so that the associated heddle support rails 3, 3a or 4, 4a are each connected by a rod 9 or 9a. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, the half shaft 7 is magnetically connected by the slider 8 to the heddle support rail 4, specifically according to the exemplary embodiment by the clamping piece 10, by incorporating corresponding magnets 11 in the slider 8. For better stabilization of the heald frames, the rods can be non-circular.

Furthermore, 10 guide means can be provided on the slider 8 and on the opposite clamping piece, which ensure a correct position of the half-shaft. For this purpose, a wedge 12a can be provided on the sliding piece 8 and a corresponding recess 13 can be provided on the clamping piece 10.

As shown in FIG. 2, during the movement of the heddle support rails 4, 4a in the direction of arrow X, the clamping piece 10, which is fastened to the heddle support rail 4, takes the half-shaft 7 upwards until the heddle support rails 4 and 4a take the crossing position with them reach the heddle support rail 3 or 3a. Then the heddle support rail 3 takes the slider 8 and thus the half shaft 7 with the clamping piece 10a, on which the half heddle 12 for the leno thread is attached (see also FIGS. 4 and 5), which is arranged between the lifting strands 5, 6 ( Fig. 3). If the heddle support rail 3 makes the reverse movement, then the half shaft 7 is pulled up again by the magnetic force until the clamping piece 10 on the other heddle support rail 4 takes the half shaft 7 down again.

It is clear from this that, due to the alternating movement of the heddle support rails, the half-shaft 7 also performs a corresponding alternating movement, so that the half-strand 12, which is attached to the half-shaft, takes the leno thread guided in the half-strand 12 shortly before the closed shed position, which has the consequence that the leno thread is passed once to the left of the upright thread and once to the right of the upright thread, so that a binding is achieved.
