Description

The invention relates to a window handle of the type defined in the preamble of claim 1.

Window handles of this type (DE-OS 3 461 151) are characterized by a simple, very robust construction, but are not fully satisfactory in terms of their function. This applies in particular with regard to their security against burglary. If, for example, the handle of the window handle is forcibly sheared off in the event of a break-in, the cover plate held only by this for the bearing body can be removed. Many parts of the locking mechanism, especially the locking pin, are then exposed and can easily be damaged or destroyed by the burglar in such a way that the window can be opened without a key. The same applies if only the cover plate is removed by force. If, on the other hand, the cover plate were non-detachably connected to the bearing body and of rigid construction, the locking mechanism would certainly be covered, but the window handle would not be mountable.

The problem mentioned does not generally occur with other locking or locking mechanisms which are also provided with security locks. In a known mechanism of this type (US Pat. No. 4,370,873), the bearing body receiving the security lock is welded to the part to be locked, in contrast to windows, so that no fastening screws are required. The same applies if the security lock is not used to prevent the movement of a square, a bolt or the like, but for the lockable connection of two parts, in particular a container and a container pivotally attached to this (US Pat. No. 4,120,183), because in this case, any fastening screws for the parts of the locking mechanism to be fastened to the container or lid can easily be attached such that they are invisible or at least not easily accessible and detachable when the container is closed.

Against this background, the invention has for its object to design the lockable window handle of the type mentioned in such a way that it is sufficiently burglar-proof despite maintaining all the desired technical functions.

Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe dienen die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruchs 1.The characterizing features of claim 1 serve to achieve this object.

The invention has the advantage that the fastening screw, the locking pin of the security lock and the stop in the assembled and locked state of the window handle are not accessible regardless of whether the bearing body is covered for formal or functional reasons and this is removed by force can.

Further advantageous features of the invention, which aim in particular at additional protection against violent opening or dismantling of the window handle, result from the subclaims.

According to FIGS. 1 to 5, a lockable window handle essentially consists of a bearing body 2 covered by a cover cap 1 and a handle 3 shown in section in FIG. 1, of which only one bearing section 4 rotatably mounted in the bearing body 2 is shown in FIG. 2 and which can be designed as a handle, olive, button or the like.

As shown in FIGS. 5 to 10 in particular, the substantially solid bearing body 2 has a continuous cylindrical bore 5, in the front part of which the bearing section 4 of the handle 3 bordering along a collar 6 on the front of the bearing body 2 is rotatably mounted. In the rear part of the bore 5, a bearing sleeve 7, which can be seen in particular from FIGS. 11 and 12, is rotatably mounted, which forms part of a two-part control part of the window handle and is provided at its rear end with a bearing flange 8, which is located on the back of the La body 2 rests and is rotatably mounted in a radially widened recess 9 formed therein. The Bearing flange 8 can have dome-shaped depressions on its front side in a manner known per se (DE-OS 34 16 151), in each of which a latching ball can snap in, which is biased by a spring which is arranged in a blind hole in the lower part 2. The depressions, locking balls, springs and blind holes are preferably arranged at intervals of 90 ° around an axis of rotation 15 defined by the central axis of the bore 5, so that the locking balls can snap into the recesses by 90 ° after partial rotations of the bearing sleeve 7. The bearing sleeve 7 is also provided with a continuous central receiving opening 16 (FIGS. 11, 12), the central axis of which coincides with the axis of rotation 15. The bearing flange 8 is held in the recess 9 by means of a cover plate 17. The cover plate 17 is arranged in a further recess 18 (FIG. 7) which is flush with the rear of the bearing body 2 and is fastened to the bearing body 2 with screws 19 (FIG. 4).

The handle 3 is firmly connected to an insert 20, which for example has an outer cross-section corresponding to a conventional square and forms the other part of the control part of the window handle, and consists for example of an injection molded plastic part surrounding the insert 20. An end of the insert 20 protruding from the bearing section 4 projects through the receiving opening 16 of the bearing sleeve 7 (FIG. 2.16), which has a corresponding internal cross section, and is connected to the latter by means of a set screw 21 running transversely to the axis of rotation 15 and being axially immovable. For screwing the threaded pin 21 into a corresponding threaded bore 22 (Fig. 2,12) of the bearing sleeve 7 is a transverse bore 23 (Fig. 8,10), which extends through a side wall of the bearing body 2 and allows screwing in of the threaded pin 21 only if that Insert 20 and the bearing sleeve 7 assume a defined rotational position, which can be produced by turning the handle 3 and is preferably defined by latching locking balls. This rotational position preferably corresponds to the position which enables the window to be pivoted. In all other rotational positions of the handle 3, however, the threaded pin 21 cannot be screwed in, so that after the connection has been established, it can only be released again in a defined rotational position of the handle 3.

The bearing body 2 has, for example in an upper and a lower part, a through bore 24a, b which extends parallel to the axis of rotation 15 and which is provided on the back of the bearing body 2 with a taper 25a, b, which is used to support the head one fastening screw 26a, b each. So that the head of the upper fastening screw 26a in FIG. 2, after screwing it into a window frame or the like, is not easily accessible, even when the cover cap 1 is removed, a locking piece 27 filling this is inserted into the free part of the bore 24a, which locks with a laterally projecting spring bolt 28 is provided, which can be pressed into the locking piece 27 against the force of a spring and normally engages in a transverse bore 29 (FIGS. 2, 7, 16) of an intermediate wall of the bearing body 2. In order to ensure that the spring bolt 28 snaps securely into the transverse bore 29, the section of this intermediate wall surrounding the bore 24a is provided with a longitudinal groove 30 (FIG. 5, 7) in which a section of the spring bolt 28 that only partially protrudes from the locking piece 27 slides is guided to the transverse bore 29. The front of the locking piece 27 is expediently provided with a means for attaching a tool so that it can be pulled out of the bore 24a again after the spring bolt 28 has been pushed back.

The lower bore 24b in FIG. 2 crosses a receiving opening 31 (FIG. 2,7,9), which extends from the lower end of the bearing body 2 in the direction of the bearing sleeve 7 and has a flat oval cross section, which is used to receive the lock housing 32 of a security lock 33 (FIG. 2.13 to 15). The axis 34 of the security lock 33 is arranged perpendicular to the axis of rotation 15, and the lock housing 32 is guided to and fro in the receiving opening 31 parallel to this axis 34. The lock housing 32 has at its end facing the bearing sleeve 7 an axially protruding locking bolt 35 which, after inserting the lock housing 32 into the receiving opening 31, comes to lie in a correspondingly dimensioned bore 36 (FIGS. 7, 10) which is in an intermediate wall of the bearing body 2 is formed. In the lock housing 32, a lock cylinder 38 (FIG. 2, 13, 14) which can be actuated with a key 37 is rotatably mounted, which, in contrast to conventional security locks, does not have a rotatable bolt, but rather a locking pin 39 in the form of a spring bolt which is resiliently mounted in the lock housing 32 acts. This protrudes laterally and perpendicular to the axis 34 from the housing 32, but can be pulled so far into the lock housing 32 by pressing the key 37 against the force of a spring that it protrudes only a small distance from it, as in Fig. 3, 13 and 15 is indicated by a dashed line 40. In addition, the locking pin 39 can also be pushed completely back into the lock housing 32 with the aid of a finger or a tool.

Four such recesses 41 are preferably provided, which are distributed at 90 ° intervals around the axis of rotation 15. In a rotational position of the handle 3, preferably defined by the snap-in balls, the or each of the recesses 41 is aligned with the bore 36 of the bearing body 2 and is arranged directly as an extension to the latter. This makes it possible to push the locking bolt 35 through the bore 36 into the respective opposite recess 41 until the front end of the lock housing 32 abuts the associated intermediate wall of the bearing body 2. By previously turning the control part 7.20 by means of the handle 3 around the rotary axis 15 any recess 41 can be arranged in the extension of the bore 36.

When the lock housing 32 is pushed completely inwards, the locking pin 39 is arranged opposite a head 43 of the fastening screw 26b (FIG. 3), which rests on the taper 25b. The head 43 contains a central recess 44 (FIG. 3) which is delimited by an edge 45 and in its deepest part means for receiving a tool, e.g. a screwdriver, so that the fastening screw 26b can be rotated. In its upper section, the recess 44 is formed so large that it receives the outer end of the locking pin 39 when the lock housing 32 is arranged in the position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 or a slightly higher position and the key 37 is not actuated or from the Lock cylinder 38 is pulled out. As a result, the locking pin 39 and thus also the lock housing 32 can only be moved back and forth by the play predetermined by the recess 44, which is not sufficient to pull the locking pin 35 out of the associated recess 41 of the bearing sleeve 7. As a result, the handle 3 is held in its just assumed rotational position with the locking pin 39 fully pushed out by a first stop in the form of the edge 45 in such a way that the security lock 33 cannot be moved into the unlocking position.

So that the locking pin 39 is arranged wobble-free in the recess 44, the lock housing 32 has a blind bore 46 (FIG. 15) which runs parallel to the axis of the locking bolt 35. This serves to receive a compression spring, not shown, the ends of which are supported on the bottom of the blind bore 46 or on an intermediate wall of the bearing body 2. Characterized the lock housing 32 is biased in such a way that the locking pin 39, as can be seen from FIGS. 2 and 3, rests against the lower part of the edge 45 of the recess 44.

The height of the head 43 of the fastening screw 26b is selected so that the locking pin 39, when it is retracted by actuating the key 37 up to the dashed line 40 shown in FIGS. 3, 13 and 15, no longer in the lock housing 32 Recess 44 is arranged. The lock housing 32 or the entire security lock 33 can then be moved in FIGS. 2 and 3 down to the unlocking position shown in FIG. 16, in which the locking bolt 35 moves out of the associated recess 41 of the bearing sleeve 7 or the control part 7, 20 has emerged and thereby enables a renewed rotation of the control part with the handle 3 about the axis of rotation 15.

The displacement movement of the lock housing 32 is made possible in that a wall section 47 (FIG. 3) of the bearing body 2 delimiting the exceptional opening 31 on the side of the locking pin 39 is arranged at a distance from the associated part of the lock housing 32 which is somewhat larger than the length of the lock body 32 Is part of the locking pin 39, which after the partial withdrawal of the same by means of the key 37 still protrudes from the lock housing 32. However, in order to avoid that the lock housing 32 can be pushed completely out of the receiving opening 31 under the influence of the compression spring, one is on this wall section 47 by means of an adapter sleeve 48 or the like (FIG. 2) and at a certain distance from the head 43 Fixed stop plate 49, which is part of a holding mechanism for the security lock 33. The stop plate 49 on the one hand delimits the receiving opening 31 such that the lock housing 32 is guided back and forth in the bearing body 2 without wobbling, and on the other hand serves as a stop for the locking pin 39 (at least up to the broken line 40) (FIG. 16), so that the safety lock 33 cannot be easily pulled out of the bearing body 2 simply by actuating the key 37. So that this is possible if necessary, e.g. to replace a defective security lock 33, the bearing body 2 has a further bore 50 (FIGS. 2, 3, 9, 16) which extends from a side wall to a point between the two stops (edge 45, stop plate 49) or extends to a point at which the locking pin 39 is arranged with the lock housing 32 withdrawn as shown in FIG. 16. Therefore, in this position of the lock housing 32, by driving a steel pin or the like with a wedge-shaped tip into the bore 50, the rest of the locking pin 39, which only protrudes to the broken line 40, can be pushed completely back into the lock housing 32 and the security lock 33 can then be pulled completely out of the receiving opening 31.

In this embodiment, the locking pin 39 thus simultaneously forms a holding element of the holding mechanism, which normally prevents the security lock from being pulled out completely, but if necessary, through the bore, i.e. can also be brought into a release position when the bearing body 2 is mounted.

In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the bearing sleeve 7 has four 90 ° spaced and radially continuous recesses 41 such that, in four predetermined positions, one recess 41 in the extension of the bore 36 and at the same time the diametrically opposite recess 41 as an extension of the Cross bore 29 is arranged, ie the axes of these recesses 41, the transverse bore 29 and the bore 36 substantially coincide with the axis 34.

To assemble the window handle described, the bearing body 2 is first fastened to the window frame (not shown) by means of the fastening screws 26a, b, the handle being in its position which enables the window to be pivoted. The gearbox arranged in the window frame, into the nut of which the free end of the insert part 20 of the control part which projects through a sufficiently large cutout 51 of the cover plate 17 is inserted, must be in a corresponding position. Then the security lock 33 is inserted into the receiving opening 31 with its spring-loaded locking pin 39 until its locking bolt 35 is inserted into the associated recess 41 of the bearing sleeve 7 and the locking pin 39 has entered the recess 44 of the head 43 of the fastening screw 26b. Then the locking piece 27 is inserted until its spring bolt 28 engages in the transverse bore 29, and then the cover cap 1 is pressed on, which covers the bearing body 2 on all sides and is provided with undercuts or the like on its inside, which have corresponding undercuts on the bearing body 2 trained lugs or the like. Preferably form a snap connection. The cover cap 1 has in its front a recess 52 (FIG. 1) for receiving the handle and in its underside a recess 53 (FIG. 2) for receiving the lock housing 32 of the security lock. Finally, the security lock 33 is unlocked with the key 37 (FIG. 16) and the handle is turned into the desired position. For optical reasons, the cross sections of the recesses 52, 53 are only slightly larger than those of the handle 3 in the region of their collar 6 or of the lock housing 32.

If the control part 7, 20 is locked in its closed position by advancing the lock housing 32 into the position shown in FIG. 2 and removing the key 37 thereafter or before, a violent opening of the window and / or removal of the window handle is practically impossible. Due to the locking bolt 35 reaching into the recess 41, rotation of the handle 3 is impossible. This lock cannot be released without a key. All functional parts of the window handle are also covered by the cap 1.

If the cover cap 1 is forcibly released by means of a chisel or the like, nothing changes. Because on the one hand the fastening screw 26b is covered by the security lock 33 and therefore cannot be released, on the other hand the set screw 21 cannot be unscrewed because it is arranged perpendicular to the transverse bore 23 in this rotational position of the handle 3. The exertion of a force on the fastening screw 26b from the outside would be ineffective, since at most the edge 45 of its head 43 would lie against the lock housing 32, but its locking pin 39 would not be pressed in. If a special fastening screw 26b, which consists of hardened steel or the like, or at least has a head 43 made of hardened steel, is used, it would also be practically impossible to drill through the head 43 from the outside. The insertion of a steel pin with a wedge tip into the bore 50 also remains ineffective, since the locking pin 39 is arranged in the recess 44 of the head 43 and cannot be reached in this position with a tool inserted through the bore 50.

A further disassembly safeguard exists when the locking piece 27 is present, since in this case the fastening screw 26a is also covered and the spring bolt 28 of the locking piece 27 is not accessible. If the locking piece and / or the fastening screw 26a is at least partially made of hardened steel or the like, then it is practically impossible to drill out the through hole 24a. If an attempt was finally made to forcibly turn off the handle 3, the breaking point can only lie in the area where the bearing section 4 borders on the bearing sleeve 7, which would not facilitate the dismantling of the window handle. Destruction of the entire bearing body 2 is preferably made more difficult by the fact that it is made of a solid metal block, e.g. a die-cast body is produced. A further disassembly safeguard can be created in that a locking piece corresponding to the locking piece 27 is also inserted into the remaining part of the bore 24b.

The same functions result if the handle is arranged in a position rotated by 180 ° , which enables the window to be tilted, as would be possible, for example, when using a rotary / tilt gear. Even in this position it is impossible to remove the window handle without a key.

A deliberate disassembly of the window handle, on the other hand, is possible if, after unlocking, the handle is brought into a position rotated by 90 ° with respect to FIG. 2 and allowing the window to be pivoted. After the security lock 33 has been pressed in again and the cover cap 1 has been lifted off, the lock cylinder is pulled with the key into the position according to FIG. 16, a steel pin with a wedge tip or the like is inserted into the bore 50 in order to completely lock the locking pin 39 into the lock housing 32 and then pull the security lock 33 fully out of the bearing part 2. Since in this position the handle 3 of the grub screw 21 is accessible through the transverse bore 23, it can be released before or after the security lock 33 is pulled out and the handle 3 can then be pulled out of the bearing sleeve 7 together with the insert 20. Then it is possible to displace the spring bolt 28 of the locking piece 27 from the transverse bore 29 using a tool, for example a screwdriver, which is inserted through the receiving opening 31, the bore 36, the corresponding recesses 41 and the transverse bore 29, and then that Pull out locking piece 27. Both fastening screws 26a, b are now accessible through the bores 24a, b.

In the described assembly or disassembly of the window handle, it was assumed that the portion of the handle 3 bordering on the bearing section 4 at no point has a larger cross section than the recess 52 of the cover cap 1, so that this is placed on the bearing body 2 even when the handle 3 is mounted or can be deducted entirely from it. If this is not the case, for example when using a handle 3 designed as a button or the like, the cover cap 1 with its recess 52 is placed on the handle 3 from the side of the bearing section 4 and in the region of its collar 6 at least as long Section provided with a cross section corresponding to the cross section of the recess 52 that the threaded pin 21 is also accessible when the cover cap 1 is already on the Handle 3 is placed, but is not yet or no longer pressed onto the bearing body 2.

The described embodiment also has the advantage that the security lock 33 can be moved from the unlocking position into the locking position even when the key 37 is removed. If the key 37 is removed when the security lock 33 is in the unlocked position and the lock cylinder 38 is in the closed position, then the locking pin 39 lies in a partially pushed-out state on the wall section 47 of the bearing body 2 located between the stop plate 49 and the edge 45, this wall section being approximately the same Distance as the edge 45 from the lock housing 32. If the security lock 33 is now pushed forward into the unlocking position by hand, then the locking pin 39 finally engages behind the stop formed by the edge 45 due to its spring force. Such a function is particularly desirable in buildings with a large number of windows, the handles of which should be lockable with the same or a small number of different keys, so that each key can be removed again after the window handle has been opened, and this can be removed at a later point in time without reinserting the key can be locked. In this case, a security lock is generally provided, from which the key can only be removed when the locking cylinder is in the closed position, in order to preclude the security lock from being pressed in when the locking cylinder is not in the locking position and the key is removed.

In the embodiment of the invention shown in FIGS. 17 to 21, in which the same parts are provided with the same reference numerals, a non-resilient locking pin and a resiliently mounted stop plate are provided instead of a spring-mounted locking pin 39 and a stationary stop plate 49. The security lock has a radially protruding locking pin 62, which is firmly connected in a manner known per se (DE-OS 34 16 151) to the locking cylinder 38 and also rotates with the key 37 when the same is turned. This locking pin 62 is preferably slidably guided in a slot 54 (Fig. 20,21) of the lock housing 32 and projects in the closed position of the lock cylinder 38 over the surface of the lock housing 32, while gradually turning into the open position when the lock cylinder 38 is turned into its open position the slot 54 sinks and then no longer protrudes beyond the outer contour of the lock housing 32.

According to FIGS. 17 to 19, the bearing body 2 has a recess 55 between its rear side, which lies on the window frame, and the security lock 33, which is arranged between the bore 24b and the outer end of the security lock 33. In this recess 55 a compression spring 57 is arranged, which is supported between a wall delimiting the recess 55 and a stop plate 59 and whose longitudinal axis extends parallel to the axis of rotation 15 and perpendicular to the axis 34 of the security lock 33 (FIG. 17). In the end biased towards the security lock 33 e.g. compression spring 57 designed as a helical spring projects e.g. a rear approach of the stop plate 59, which therefore normally tries to lay flat against the broad side of the security lock 33 due to the force of the compression spring 57. The means required for the clean guidance of the stop plate 59 are not shown in detail, since they are largely freely selectable and depend on the particular design embodiment provided.

With the locking cylinder 38 in the open position, in which the locking pin 62 is preferably withdrawn below the outer contour of the security lock (cf. dashed position of the locking pin in FIGS. 18, 19), the security lock is inserted into the receiving opening 32 until the locking position is reached . Then the lock cylinder 38 is turned with the key 37 into its closed position so that the locking pin 62 arranged on the side of the stop plate 59 comes out of the contour of the lock housing 32, engages behind the stop plate 59 and thereby the locking position is secure (FIG. 18). By turning the locking cylinder 38 again, the locking pin 62 can be withdrawn again and the safety lock can then be pushed into the unlocking position. So that the security lock 33 cannot completely come out of the bearing body 2, the lock housing 32 preferably has a recess 60 (FIGS. 18-21) into which the front part of a screw 61 projects, which is arranged in a threaded bore of the bearing body 2 and can be operated from the outside with a screwdriver or the like. This screw 61 thus forms a holding member which is accessible even when the window handle is mounted and, by protruding into the recess 60, normally prevents the security lock 33 from being pulled completely out of the bearing body 2, but can be turned into a release position and then enables, for example, the security lock 33 to be replaced . In contrast to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 16, the functions of the locking pin and the holding member are thus separated in the embodiment according to FIGS. 17 to 21.

Also in this embodiment, it is easily possible to remove the key with the security lock in the unlocked position and with the lock cylinder 33 in the closed position, because in this position the locking pin 62 lies against the spring-loaded stop plate 59 (FIG. 19) and this against the Force the compression spring 57 laterally pushed away. From this position, the safety lock 33 can also be moved into the locking position, since in this case the locking pin 62 slides along the stop plate 59 and reaches its inner end shortly before the locking position is reached (FIGS. 17, 18). As soon as the locking pin 62 is then pushed further, the stop plate 59 is pressed against the broad side of the lock housing by the force of the compression spring 57 ses 33 pressed and thereby secured the locking position. As in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 16, there is also the advantage that the locking pin 62 is always covered by the security lock 33 and / or by a wall 63 of the lower part 2 when the window handle is mounted and therefore practically cannot be damaged or knocked off by force. In addition, it is impossible to access the compression spring 57 or the stop plate 59 from the outside when the window handle is mounted, so that unlocking by pushing the stop plate 59 sideways is also impossible.

Alternatively, it would be possible to retract the locking pin 62 with the key 37 completely, similarly to the embodiment according to FIGS. 13 to 15, against the force of a spring into the lock housing 32, in order to thereby enable the security lock 33 to be displaced into the unlocked position.

According to further embodiments, the locking pins of the security locks can also be arranged in lateral areas of the bearing body 2 and can interact, for example, with cutouts in the wall 63 or a wall 64 (FIG. 18). In such a case, a locking pin in the form of a spring bolt is expediently provided, which can be pushed away with a tool through a hole protruding through the respective wall when the security lock is in the unlocked position.

The invention is not otherwise restricted to the exemplary embodiments shown and described, which can be modified in many ways. This applies in particular to the fastening means used for the window handle, the position and arrangement of the various parts to one another and in particular the security locks used in individual cases, since security locks with conventional locking pins can also be integrated into the bearing body 2 in such a way that the desired function is obtained.
