Bei einem bekannten Brieflocher dieser Art (DE-OS 20 44 119) sind die für die Lochstempellagerung und -führung bestimmten Lagerböcke und Matrizen starr mit der Grundplatte verbunden. Bei der Betätigung der als einarmiger Hebel ausgebildeten Druckplatte treten daher an den Stirnflächen der Lochstempel Reibungskräfte auf, die auf die Lochstempel ein Kippmoment ausüben. Mit den erfindungsgemäßen Maßnahmen wird nun erreicht, daß die die Lochstempelführung bildenden Lagerböcke zusammen mit je einer Matrize ein einstückiges Montageteil bilden, das bei der Schwenkbewegung der Druckplatte eine geringfügige Kippbewegung ausführen kann. An der Unterseite der Druckplatte 2 ist je eine gewölbte Schiene 21 angeordnet, die in ihrem Scheitelpunkt eine Aussparung 22 aufweist, in die ein an den Lochstempeln 4 ausgebildeter Zapfen 42 eingreift. Die Lochstempel 4 weisen in ihrem oberen Bereich einen Ringwulst 41 auf, die der Führung der Lochstempel 4 in einer zylindrischen Hülse 30 dient. Die Hülse 30 bildet zusammen mit einem an ihrem unteren Ende angeordneten, zwei Schenkel 31 und 32 aufweisenden Bügel ein einstückiges Montageteil 3.
