Abstract

Apart from a carpet nozzle, a crevice nozzle (9) for cleaning places which are not easily accessible also belongs to the customary fittings of a vacuum cleaner. This crevice nozzle (9) should expediently always be ready-to-hand. In the housing (1) for a hand-held vacuum cleaner, this is achieved in that the crevice nozzle (9) is integrated in the housing (1). For this purpose, an opening (8) is formed in the rear end wall (6) of the housing, through which opening the crevice nozzle (9) can be inserted in a sheath which extends inside the motor space of the housing (1) in the region of the side edge (10) of said housing (1). The crevice nozzle (9) is held securely in the sheath by the upright operating position of the hand-held vacuum cleaner. <IMAGE>
