Definitions
- the invention relates to a screwless terminal for electrical devices, in particular for installation devices, the housing of which has at least one insertion opening for conductors to be connected and which receives a clamping spring with a clamping leg and a clamping body. A conductor to be connected can then be clamped between the clamping leg and the clamping body. By means of a pressure piece guided in the clamping body, the clamping leg can be brought out of the clamping position, as a result of which the conductor can be released again, see for example DE-A-2 922 477.
- Such screwless terminals are known (DE-GM 84 24 056, DE-AS 15 75 118).
- a known terminal has a clamping leg and in the direction of insertion for a conductor to be connected behind another leg of a spring, which is rounded against the clamping body and thereby forms a pressure leg, which allows larger currents to be transmitted than would be possible through the clamping leg alone.
- a well-known clamp (DE-GM 84 24 056) has a long pressure piece which protrudes far beyond the pressure body and is located at a hammer-like continuation directly behind the surface of the clamp body. To have a loosening effect on the clamping leg, this pressure piece must be pivoted far. In practice, however, a far excellent pressure piece is often annoying.
- a pressure piece has a low pivot point, the pressure piece still having to protrude beyond the clamping body so that a sufficient swivel path for releasing a connected conductor is made possible.
- the invention has for its object to develop a screwless terminal, the pressure piece needs to protrude particularly little against the clamp body and is still easy to use.
- the described object is achieved by a connecting terminal with the features according to patent claim 1.
- the pressure piece in its starting position has a pivot point that is deep with respect to the clamping point of the clamping spring.
- Guide shoulders below the actuating head of the pressure piece allow the pressure piece to be inclined to the clamping body, the contact point of the pressure piece being able to rise on a lateral contact wall.
- an operator almost has the impression of operating a horizontal slide, which, however, cannot tilt on the clamping body, which is why the pressure piece is easy to operate.
- even thick conductors, for which the pressure piece has to travel a long way can be safely released.
- the clamping spring can enclose an angle with its clamping leg to the adjacent contact wall, in which the pressure piece is arranged.
- the connector can have only one or more clamping legs lying next to one another or also have a further leg behind a clamping leg in the direction of insertion of a conductor to be connected, which stands up rounded on the clamping body and thereby forms a pressure leg. It is sufficient if the pressure piece acts only on the clamping leg or legs.
- the pressure piece can be rounded in the form of a roller at its base and can have a rounded protruding rib for releasing the clamping leg. This increases the security against tilting when the pressure piece is actuated.
- the screwless connection terminal 1 has an insertion opening 2 for conductors 3 to be connected. Another entry opening can be found above the drawing level.
- a clamping spring 4 forms a clamping leg 5.
- a housing 6 accommodates the clamping spring 4 and a clamping body 7. Between the clamping leg 5 of the clamping spring 4 and the clamping body 7, conductors to be connected can be clamped, which are secured against being pulled out by the pointed limb 5 in the usual way.
- the clamping leg 5 can be brought out of the clamping position by a pressure piece 9 guided in a gap 8 in the clamping body 7.
- the pressure piece 9 on its actuating head 10 can be pivoted into a position according to FIG. 1.
- the connecting terminal has a socket 11 which is electrically connected to the clamping body 7 in that it is formed in one piece from it.
- the clamp body with its bent-back side walls can form the socket 11.
- the pressure piece In its starting position according to FIG. 2, the pressure piece has a pivot point 12 which is deep with respect to the clamping point of the clamping spring 4.
- Guide shoulders 13 and 14 below the actuating head 10 of the pressure piece 9 guide it in a gap 8 of the clamping body 7.
- the guide shoulders are shaped so that the pressure piece 9 can be inclined to the clamping body 7, as is the case from a comparison of FIGS. 2 and 1 is seen.
- the pressure piece 9 is supported on an adjacent to the clamping leg 5 contact wall 15.
- the contact wall forms one leg of the clamping spring 4. During the deflection of the pressure piece, that is to say when it is inclined, it rises on the contact wall 15, as illustrated in FIG. 1.
- the clamping leg 5 can be slotted longitudinally for two insertion openings arranged next to one another, so that two different types of conductors do not interfere with one another when being clamped.
- the pressure piece can be made so wide that it can act on both clamping legs.
- a slotted clamping leg 5 is illustrated in Figure 6.
- the guidance of the pressure piece 9 in the gap 8 of the clamping body 7 can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the narrow neck area of the pressure piece between its guide shoulders 13 and 14 fits into the gap 8 with play.
- the gap 8 is widened in a partial area 16 by the extent of the width of the shoulders 14.
- This version is space-saving and ensures a secure starting position if the pressure piece fills the angular space.
- a further leg 17 is arranged in the direction of insertion of a conductor to be connected behind the clamping leg 5, which leg is rounded on the clamping body by being bent at its end. It thereby forms a pressure leg, which presses an inserted conductor against the clamping body 4 and, because of the increased clamping pressure, allows larger currents to be conducted.
- the pressure piece 9 is rounded at its base at its pivot point 12 and it has a rounded protruding rib 18 for releasing the clamping leg.
- a particularly secure guidance which helps to avoid tilting in the gap 8 of the clamping body 7.
- the pressure piece 9 rests on the clamping leg 5.
- Translating lever arms of the pressure piece 9 lie between the actuating head 10 and the fulcrum 12 and between the rib 18 and the fulcrum 12.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a screwless terminal for electrical devices, in particular for installation devices, the housing of which has at least one insertion opening for conductors to be connected and which receives a clamping spring with a clamping leg and a clamping body. A conductor to be connected can then be clamped between the clamping leg and the clamping body. By means of a pressure piece guided in the clamping body, the clamping leg can be brought out of the clamping position, as a result of which the conductor can be released again, see for example DE-A-2 922 477.
Derartige schraubenlose Anschlußklemmen sind bekannt (DE-GM 84 24 056, DE-AS 15 75 118). Such screwless terminals are known (DE-GM 84 24 056, DE-AS 15 75 118). A known terminal has a clamping leg and in the direction of insertion for a conductor to be connected behind another leg of a spring, which is rounded against the clamping body and thereby forms a pressure leg, which allows larger currents to be transmitted than would be possible through the clamping leg alone. In order to release a connected conductor, a well-known clamp (DE-GM 84 24 056) has a long pressure piece which protrudes far beyond the pressure body and is located at a hammer-like continuation directly behind the surface of the clamp body. To have a loosening effect on the clamping leg, this pressure piece must be pivoted far. In practice, however, a far excellent pressure piece is often annoying.
According to another known connecting terminal (DE-AS 15 75 118), a pressure piece has a low pivot point, the pressure piece still having to protrude beyond the clamping body so that a sufficient swivel path for releasing a connected conductor is made possible.
The invention has for its object to develop a screwless terminal, the pressure piece needs to protrude particularly little against the clamp body and is still easy to use.
According to the invention, the described object is achieved by a connecting terminal with the features according to
The clamping spring can enclose an angle with its clamping leg to the adjacent contact wall, in which the pressure piece is arranged. The connector can have only one or more clamping legs lying next to one another or also have a further leg behind a clamping leg in the direction of insertion of a conductor to be connected, which stands up rounded on the clamping body and thereby forms a pressure leg. It is sufficient if the pressure piece acts only on the clamping leg or legs.
The pressure piece can be rounded in the form of a roller at its base and can have a rounded protruding rib for releasing the clamping leg. This increases the security against tilting when the pressure piece is actuated.
- In
- In
- In Figure 1, a terminal is shown in longitudinal section, in which the pressure piece is brought into the position for releasing an inserted conductor.
- In Figure 2, the terminal of Figure 1 is shown in the starting position, that is, when the conductor is not connected.
- In Figure 3, a connection terminal without a pressure piece is shown in supervision of the clamping body.
- In Figure 4, a pressure piece according to Figure 2 is shown in side view.
- In Figure 5, a terminal with a clamping leg and pressure leg is illustrated.
- In Figure 6, the terminal of Figure 5 is shown along a section VI-VI.
The
In its starting position according to FIG. 2, the pressure piece has a
The
The guidance of the
The clamping spring 4 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, with its
In the connecting terminal according to FIG. 5, a further leg 17 is arranged in the direction of insertion of a conductor to be connected behind the
