Abstract

In a process for the production of chromate tubing form on metal surfaces by application of chrome VI Compounds containing solutions or dispersions and then drying the liquid film the coating obtained by drying for the purpose of ver improvement of the corrosion resistance and the layer quality in contact with aqueous solutions with a re solution containing the detergent in contact.

Particularly suitable reducing agents are hydrazine, Hydroxylamine, hydrazine phosphate etc., their concentration 1 up to 100 g / l, preferably 30 to 80 g / l.

The process is particularly successful at Be act of steel, aluminum and / or with zinc or Zinc alloy plated steel surfaces applicable.
